Animal Crossing: Get Rid Of A Specific New Horizons Villager
The campsite method can be used if the visiting villager is one a player wants on their island. Players will have to talk to them until they offer to play a card game to decide if they should move in or not. If a player loses, they can keep talking to the campsite visitor until they offer to play again. Eventually, they will. Upon winning, the villager may decide to move to the island. They will call New Horizons’ Tom Nook and mention the island is already full, if it is. They will then randomly choose a villager on the island to kick out. If they choose one a player wants to keep, they will need to completely close out the game before making a choice, load the game again, and start the process over. This can take multiple tries as the visitor may choose to kick out the same villager more than once. Players will have to repeat this process until the visitor chooses the villager a player wants to get rid of.
The thought bubble may not show up if the villager that wants to leave that day is inside. If players accidentally tell a villager they want to keep to stay, they will have to wait about a week or two before the move-out thought bubble reappears. While kicking out a specific Animal Crossing: New Horizons villager can be tedious by taking up time and requiring multiple attempts, it can be worth it if players are set on ridding their island of an unwanted neighbor.
Animal Crossing is available now on Nintendo Switch.
Animal Crossing New Horizons Guide: How To Get Rid Of Unwanted Villagers
In the newest installment of the long-beloved Animal Crossing franchise, Animal Crossing: New Horizons has a large cast of villagers which range from the good to the bad, to the ugly. Its easy to get stuck with one or two unwanted faces, which can be maddening when living so near them on a tiny island stuck in the middle of the ocean. Unfortunately, if you arent willing to spend a bit of cold hard cash, it can be a long and tedious process to rid yourself of such unwanted residents.
This is unfortunately in line with previous games in the series. In games like New Leaf and Wild World, the best methods were to ignore them completely and make sure to talk to all of your other residents in order to prevent your loved ones from moving out. This method seems to work in New Horizons as well, although it can take some time and is not a guaranteed way to send your unwanted animal neighbor packing.
The actual methodology is simple, however, make sure you talk to the invader at least once to introduce yourself and then never talk to them again. Even if the character in question runs up and begs to speak to you, you must harden your heart and not interact with them. The only time you speak to your villager is if you see them walking around with a thought bubble over their head. This is an indication that they might be planning on moving out.
Animal Crossing New Horizons: How To Get Rid Of Villagers
Animal Crossing New Horizons is all about building a peaceful community from the ground up. But sometimes your utopian colony needs to be ruled with an iron fist if its to be shaped in the vision you intended it, right? That means eviction. Heres how to get rid of villagers in Animal Crossing New Horizons if theres someone who isnt cutting the mustard and needs to go.
As with many things in New Horizons, from construction projects to farming resources, the process of removing villagers from an island is a time-consuming one. It is possible, thankfully, but it takes patience.

How To Get Your First Three New Villagers In Animal Crossing: New Horizons
In previous Animal Crossing games, villagers would simply move into your town and set up a house. New Horizons, however, has changed this system to make it more in keeping with the deserted island theme of the game.
When you first arrive on your island, you’ll be accompanied by two villagers and, as you slowly progress through the game, you’ll be able to invite more villagers to your island.
The maximum number of villagers you can have living on your island is 10.
The first time you’ll be able to invite new villagers to your island will be after Nook’s Cranny opens. Tom Nook will give you three housing kits to place around the island.
Once you’ve decided where to place these kits, you’ll next have to build three pieces of interior furniture and three pieces of exterior furniture for the villager whose house this will be.
After crafting this furniture, your new villagers will settle on your island one day after the other. This means that if you build all the furniture in one day, then it will take three days for each villager to arrive.
This is the only time you’re required to build furniture to make villagers move to your island. Instead, you simply have to set aside a plot of land for them to live on.
How to set aside a plot of land for a villager’s house
Setting aside a plot of land for a new villager will cost you 10,000 bells.
You’ll also be rewarded with some Nook Miles once they move in.
A Warning About Replacing Villagers
Whatever method you may use, you should be aware of one final massive problem with replacing villagers in the game: you have a limited amount of time to find a replacement.
I booted out one of the villagers I didn’t like and took my time trying to find a replacement. I was shocked and dismayed to discover a very silly design choice on Nintendo’s part. If you remove a villager from the game, a new random villager will move in to the vacant spot at some indeterminate point after the first villager leaves. It was, in fact, one of the many quality-of-life changes that I think New Horizons desperately needs.
Now that you know how to get rid of villagers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, don’t forget that you’ll also have to replace them quickly lest you get stuck with someone you don’t want. It’s best to save up a hefty amount of Nook Miles tickets to use right away, whether you’re doing some Mystery Island Tours or buying a villager outright on an Internet trading community.

How To Catch A Flea In Animal Crossing
You can catch the flea right off of their bodies using a net. You can do so by holding down the A button while standing at a very short distance from the villager to hit the fleas with the net. They might look a bit sad at first, but should be relieved later on. You can sell these flees for 70 Bells, which doesn’t seem a lot however, there is a Nook Mileage achievement for nabbing them.

Sending And Ignoring Letters
One method that is popular with players is using letters to explain to villagers why they need to move out. The first step would be to send mean letters to villagers. By sending mean letters, the villager gets the hint constantly from the island representative that they need to move away.
In addition to sending mean letters, players need to ignore letters coming in from that villager. This can prove to be tricky because sometimes the unwanted villager will send the player gifts. It can be hard to ignore these notes from heathen villagers, but the payoff will be well worth it in the long run.

Otherwise It’s A Waiting Game
Villagers will decide to leave themselves, even if you’ve been perfectly polite to them. Usually, they’ll give you an option to persuade them to stay, but you can also say au revoir and tell them to hop skip it on outta here. It’s a way of keeping your population feeling fresh, but also means it’s harder to target a single resident for eviction.
Make Villagers Move Out With Time Travel
|Time Travel Method|
You can use Time Travel to make the move out condition appear more easily.
It’s possible to keep changing the dates to give a different villager the condition instead, so you can keep changing the dates until the villager you want to move out gets it.
The condition moves on randomly, however, so you might have to try several times before you get the villager you want.

For your 3rd to 5th characters, it’s possible to try to get certain characters while you’re still in the process of doing the event You’ll have to do this process for each villager one by one until you get the one you want!
Personality Is Determined By Order
The number on the side of the plot will determine the personality of the villager you’re going to get. #1 will always be Lazy, #2 will be Peppy, and #3 will be Normal!
Use An Amiibo Or Amiibo Card
There is a 100% guaranteed, absolutely safe to get the villager you want: use Amiibo or Amiibo cards.
Naturally, this presents a problem. You have to actually have an Amiibo or Amiibo card associated with the villager that you want to bring into the game.
At the time this article was written, Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been out for less than two months, and the Amiibo cards have been more or less sold out for that entire time. If you’re going to go for this method, you should expect to pay a premium on eBay, Amazon, or elsewhere.

Animal Crossing: How To Get Rid Of Unwanted Villagers In New Horizons
The Animal Crossing island is a pretty happening place. The game offers 397 villagers who can become a part of the player’s community. Each villager in the game has a distinct personality and serves a different purpose. While some villagers are extremely useful during events, others just surface to have a conversation to make Animal Crossing more interactive.
Even though there are so many different villagers, players can only select 10 villagers to live on the island at any given time. More importantly, the villagers that make the final cut have to be kept away from the ones they have a rocky relationship with.
As each new title also introduces some new characters, getting rid of some villagers can be a pretty tedious task. The following is a list of ways in which the players can get rid of the villagers they no longer want on their island. It is important to keep in mind, however, that players need to be quite motivated to get rid of villagers as this process requires a bit of effort.

With over 400 different villagers to choose from, chances are that you might be stuck with someone you don’t want around. If you want to make a villager leave in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you’re going to find yourself in for a challenge.
You’re able to have a maximum of 10 villagers living on your island at any one time. Unfortunately, Nintendo made the decision to prevent terraforming from unlocking until you have eight or so villagers and can get K.K. Slider to visit you, so some peoplemyself includedwill rush to get as many villagers as possible.
That ultimately presents a problem: How the heck do you get rid of all of these villagers you don’t want?

Villagers That Arrive Alongside Events Can Be Selected For
To a certain extent you are indeed able to “choose” what villagers you get during the above fixed in-game events. If you’re set on getting a certain resident , you can get them even during an early stage of the game.
It’s Not Set In Stone
If you find yourself feeling unsure about your neighborhood or constantly fiddling with aspects of your design, that’s okay! You’re allowed to change your mind, even if it took time to make. And just like life, it’s natural to want change after long periods of stagnation or inaction, so don’t be afraid to fiddle and shuffle houses around until you have exactly what you want. It may be Tom Nook’s island, but you’re the real artistic mastermind.

Giant Clam Shell Music Boxes
While crafting hadnt yet become a prominent feature in Animal Crossing: New Leaf, an early version existed through the ability of Cyrus to make select items when given the right materials. By far the best of these special crafted items were the Music Boxes!
Check out the amazing video below with music box recordings of every K.K. Slider song compiled:
Wed love to see these custom music boxes make their way to New Horizons, whether that be through the DIY Crafting system or the return of Cyrus beyond just the Wedding Season event.
How To Get Villagers To Leave From Neglect
One of the best methods for getting the point across that a villager is no longer welcome is flat out ignoring them. Think social distancing to the extreme.
Dont talk to them, dont fulfill requests or tasks for them, dont even ask them what theyre building. Pretend like they dont even exist, while socializing with your other villagers to the extreme. This can help build up neglect, which can help trigger the next phase. To avoid accidentally interacting with problem villagers, try politely yet firmly enforcing distancing by creating fencing around their home.
After ignoring the villager in question for several days, youll still need to observe the resident in question. If you see them wandering about with a thought bubble over their heads, or they run up to you while shouting your name, youll actually want to engage here – because this means they have a dilemma. Sometimes theyll have a task or a request or want to teach you a reaction, sure, but theres also a chance a villager displaying these signs is thinking about moving, and a player must be present to cement the decision. This can easily happen to a villager you like, so be sure to give the appropriate answer depending on who youre talking to, and either encourage them to leave, or convince them to stay. If its not the villager you want off your island, keep checking in every day until they decide to call it quits.

How To Remove Villagers And Make Them Leave In Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Maybe you’ve had enough of their personality or maybe you just don’t like their face , either way, at some point a villager you don’t like might move onto your island.
It’s important to note that discussing a resident with Isabelle in Residential Services does not work towards evicting a villager. Instead, this simply allows you to reset a villagers catchphrase or clothing if you no longer like what they’re wearing or saying. Ignoring villagers and hitting them with a net also won’t encourage them to leave.
Getting rid of villagers in New Horizons is a tricky process that mostly revolves around chance and waiting for villagers to decide that they want to leave. We do, however, have a couple tips that will help you control your island’s population.
Look for villagers with thought bubbles above their heads
At some point you’ll find one of your villagers walking around with a puzzled expression on their face and a thought bubble floating above their head.
If you talk to them, there’s a chance they’ll explain that they’re considering moving. During this conversation, you’ll have the chance to encourage them to either leave or stay.
If you tell them to stay, then they’ll continue living on your island as if nothing has ever happened. Telling them to leave, however, will cause them to pack up their house the next day, followed by them leaving their island and creating an empty plot of land.
