When Does Wisp Visit In Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Wisp the ghost appears on your island on random nights–sometimes multiple nights in-a-row–but there’s no way to predict when he will visit . Instead, you’ll have to look out for his telltale glow as he floats around your island at nighttime. He doesn’t appear in just one location, either, so keep an eye out for this friendly ghost.
Wisp first appeared on a higher level of our island on the third night of our island getaway before we had the ladder, so we couldn’t access him immediately, although you may not encounter this issue. Fortunately, he returned again the following night.
Stand Under The Balloon And Shoot
To shoot the present down, you have to stand under the balloons shadow and shoot the slingshot. If you do it correctly, you will pop the balloon and make the present fall to the ground. Thenyou can pick it up. Careful! If you shoot a balloon present down near water, thepresent might fall into the water and be lost!

Clowns Haunt The Villagers At Night
When the player persuades a villager staying at their campsite to move onto their island in New Horizons, they may be caught off guard by an ominous comment. Once the villager accepts the players request to move, a current island villager will then move away. Occasionally, the campsite villager will say the other villager was already planning to leave due to the night clowns. Some fans believe this is referring to Wisp, the friendly ghost who occasionally appears on islands at night. However, Wisp is clearly a ghost, not a clown. Furthermore, on the nights Wisp does appear on a players island, villagers will note a presence to the player rather than a night clown.
But the player never comes into contact with these so-called night clowns, nor do villagers ever elaborate on it. In fact, theres no evidence of them on the island from the players perspective whatsoever. This leads fans to believe these night clowns are somehow only visible to animal villagers or that theyre specifically choosing to haunt them instead of the player. Either way, well never really know what those villagers are seeing at night.
Train Station Lockers In Other Towns
Forgot to bring an important item over during a visit to a friends town or an online trade? No problem the handy lockers at the Train Station can access your entire house storage of items!
Having your complete item storage available when visiting another players town is an incredibly helpful feature, and we really regret its removal from New Horizons. This was one of the first things I noticed personally when playing online at launch.
The lockers at another town could even be used to retrieve turnips from your storage in New Leaf, making multiple trips to ferry turnips back and forth far less necessary. Oddly, turnip storage is no longer possible in New Horizons though.

In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Wisp returns once again – and is actually available at a more reasonable hour of the day than typically in the series’ past. The Animal Crossing New Leaf: Welcome Amiibo Update Added Lots Of New Features Both Documented And Undocumented We List The Best Ones Weve Found
Welcome, amiibo, and welcome everyone else to Animal Crossing: New Leafa title that Nintendo has somehow managed to keep relevant four years after its initial release. Of all the games on my Nintendo 3DS, this is the one Ive gotten the most mileage out of, both due to the nature of the game and, now, due to the fabulous update Nintendo dropped this past week.
The Welcome amiibo update to New Leaf brings a whole host of new features, only a few of them involving amiibo. Some of those features were shown off during the Animal Crossing Nintendo Direct earlier this week. Others were undocumented surprises that added either much-needed features or enjoyable little easter eggs to the title.
Break out New Leaf if your copy has been collecting dust over the last few years. Dont worryIsabelle will clean all your weeds up for you when you do. Enjoy the update and all its changes, including the eight best changes I found in the Welcome amiibo update.
Animal Crossing: New Leaf Review
It has been a dozen years since the first Animal Crossing, and theres still nothing quite like it. These are perhaps Nintendos warmest and most human games part town-builder, part life simulator, each an evolving paradise for its players. New Leaf casts you as the mayor of a town populated by anthropomorphic animals, which over time grows and adapts to your decisions and style. But not in-game time New Leaf works in real time.
This is not a game you sit down with for a few hours on the weekend its something you check in on, even for 10 minutes, every day. If you get a house extension, for example, it will be ready tomorrow literally. This principle certainly has its quirks, and closed shops can be frustrating, but is essential to how New Leafs ecosystem works the bugs, fish, and many other surprises tie into the day and time.
This is a special kind of online game, a communal happiness devoid of cynicism, and one only possible within Animal Crossings disarming style. The game is so named because of its residents in my town Ive a few vain sheep, a weightlifting sparrow, a self-doubting crocodile, a trendy fox, and thats not even the half of it. This surreal proposition is realised with character design that resembles papercraft, set against a rolling horizon of 3D popups. It makes the world feel like a small globe, and the springy weight of New Leafs landmarks against this is just gorgeous.

How To Get A Reward From Wisp
Once you give all five pieces back to Wisp, hell offer you a gift for your services. The first time he offers you something, hell give you the choice between Something New and Something Expensive. The items you receive are random in both categories so dont fret if you cant decide.
It is worth noting that Wisps definition of expensive might be a bit different from yours. In our experiences thus far, expensive seems to mean the item is worth a few thousand Bells at most. Theres likely some rarity involved, so it could be possible to earn items worth around 10,000 Bells, but no one knows for certain.
For the most part, we recommend always choosing Something New. That way youre consistently building our your collection of items and can purchase them from the ATM in Resident Services. What good does yet another clown wallpaper do anyway? The darn thing is only worth 1,500 Bells!
And thats it! Hopefully this helps you get settled into your new Animal Crossing: New Horizons island! Much like the game itself, check back throughout the day to see whats new here on Fanbyte. We already have guides for how to move your tent and how to get across rivers using either the vaulting pole or constructing bridges.

How To Get Tools In Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Forget about a table that looks like an orange, tools are the most important items in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. You need an axe to chop down trees, a fishing rod to catch fish and a shovel to dig up fossils, among many other important jobs.
New Horizons has, however, changed how you initially find each tool. Rather than simply buying your tools from Tom Nook, you have the ability to craft each one using the materials you gather from across your island.
To create a tool you need to find its DIY recipe, which will allow you to craft it at any DIY workbench.
How to get DIY tool recipes
In the beginning, youll only be able to craft flimsy tools. You can get these on the first day by donating insects or fish to Tom Nook, who will give them to you.
To get better tools, you need to get the DIY For Beginners pack from Timmy, which costs 480 bells. Its worth noting most of these require the flimsy tool as part of its construction we recommend buying these from Timmy to save on materials.
There are then more tools which are gated by progress. The Shovel and Vaulting Pole require Blathers and the museum to appear on the island, while the Ladder is given to you after Tom Nook asks you to help set up new Villager plots.
You can, however, be able to buy flimsy tools from Residential Services and Nooks Cranny once it opens.
