Animal Crossing: New Horizons May Celebrate Individual Islands Instead

Big Fish Island, The Able Sisters Shop & Money Rock Island – Animal Crossing New Horizons

If Nintendo doesnt make a big deal out of the games anniversary, it might be because it wants to celebrate the formation of original islands. Instead of commemorating the games birthday, it would be a fitting substitute to throw a big party on the birthdays of individual islands. For some players that date would be March 20, but for others, it could be much later.

Surely Animal Crossing wouldn’t let island anniversaries go unnoticed, seeing as there are always individual birthday parties for players and villagers, so thats something players can probably count on. But, it would still be nice if Nintendo chose to celebrate the actual games anniversary, especially after the year everyone has had and the huge difference it made at the start of the pandemic. No announcements have been made other than the Sanrio villagers, available on March 26, but theres still time to do something big on March 20.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now on the Nintendo Switch.

Is Animal Crossing: New Horizons Worth Coming Back To In 2021

Like most people in the gaming community, I played a lot of Animal Crossing: New Horizons when it launched in March 2020. The game’s relaxed pace, gorgeous visuals, soothing soundtrack, and peaceful vibes provided a welcome contrast to the onslaught of harrowing news in the real world, and I took full advantage of that escapism. For months, I spent an hour or two each day tidying up my island, upgrading and decorating my house, getting rich off the Stalk Market, going on island tours, and hanging out with my island’s villagers.

Eventually I started to play less and less as I felt the pull of other new releases, and by August 2020, I stopped playing completely, content with the state of my island and my overall experience thus far. Recently, though, I decided to return to my virtual slice of paradise to check in on the state of Animal Crossing: New Horizons and see if the game is worth coming back to. And after spending a few weeks back on my island, I’m ultimately left with mixed feelings.

Nintendo has also updated Animal Crossing: New Horizons with lots of new stuff to collect and use over the last year, and I’ve had fun getting my hands on as much of it as I can during my recent return. More options for outfits and decorations are always good, and I appreciate that Nintendo has continued to add them well into 2021.

E3 : Nintendo Needs A Big Animal Crossing: New Horizons Update

It’s been over a year since Animal Crossing: New Horizons made us all island-designers on the Nintendo Switch. From Bunny Day to New Year dancing, this fun and relaxing sim has seen plenty of events, updates, and changing seasons. Truly, the game a time when everyone needed a little escape from reality.

However, the world is changing yet again but Animal Crossing: New Horizons is pretty much staying the same. While Nintendo promised plenty of updates to keep the game alive for years to come, we’ve seen very few updates, and islands are being abandoned day by day. As we head in the “busy” time, I can’t help but feel like the love for New Horizons has set sail. With E3 just around the corner and Nintendo holding a showcase, what they really need to do to keep the game and the community alive is drop a huge update. So, how can Nintendo give Animal Crossing: New Horizons a boost?

Animal Crossing Players Want Brewster To Return

The other major thing players have been asking for is the return of Brewster, an endearing coffee-loving pigeon who runs a coffee shop called The Roost. Brewster became a favorite in previous Animal Crossing games like City Folk and New Leaf, making his absence from New Horizons very conspicuous. Apart from his popularity, adding Brewster and his coffee shop to the game would give players the chance to add another building to their islands. Able Sisters, Nooks Cranny, and Blathers museum are all great, but a couple more shops would go a long way in creating a more realistic town experience.

Fans have asked for Brewster in every update, but Nintendo has been silent about if and when he might return. Bringing Brewster back to the franchise in honor of New Horizons first anniversary would be a celebration indeed, and a way to thank fans of the franchise for their continued loyalty.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Quality Of Life Update

Animal Crossing: New Horizons was one of the most ...

While Animal Crossing is an enjoyable game that takes time to appreciate the little things in life, some of those little things happen very, very slowly. Terraforming an island square by square, only being able to craft one item at a time, and having to go into the fitting room multiple times to buy more than one kind of item are just a few of the inconveniences that slow players down and can cause frustration.

Players dont have a problem with the real-time format of the game, but certain tasks could be accomplished in a much more efficient manner. A quality of life update for New Horizons would be a huge deal and would be the best way to celebrate the games anniversary. It would show that Nintendo is listening to feedback from players and willing to make changes that would improve Animal Crossing in a major way.

Seasonal Events Moving Forward

There are of course many other seasonal events which fans should expect to see throughout Animal Crossing: New Horizons‘ first year, most notably, Halloween, Naughty or Nice Day, and New Year’s Eve, all of which may be positively affected by this change. Could Halloween’s event last the entirety of October? Perhaps Naughty or Nice Day will also feature a 12 day build up to represent the 12 days of Christmas. Animal Crossing‘s New Year event is one of the few exceptions that actually lasts multiple days, since it occurs on December 31st as well as January 1st, but it is possible that this event will be extended forward to last into January.

Overall, these changes are more than welcome, as more time to enjoy the festive and creative events in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is always welcome. Fans should cross their fingers that this pattern holds true during the next event, and if it does it is more than likely going to be the new normal for not just Animal Crossing: New Horizons, but the Animal Crossing franchise as a whole moving forward. Until the next event though, players should simply enjoy the 12 days of Bunny Day festivities happening now.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available exclusively on Nintendo Switch.

This information is essential for plotting down locations on the island. Players who are keen on the exact measurements of certain properties will find value in this information. This also helps players who plan to build around these structures, like planting flowers or shrubs. The game continues to add new features every month with free updates. For the month of June, the Wedding Season event will be taking place, allowing players to collect DIY recipes surrounding weddings. Fish Around The Clock But Only In The Winter

Most fish are only around during certain times of year and the Oarfish is no different. According to its Critterpedia entry, it can be found between the months of December and May. Thankfully it’s active all hours of the day, so you won’t have to plan your schedule around reeling in the elusive fish.

Although it’s tempting to sell your catch for 9,000 Bells, it’s highly recommended you donate it to the Museum. Not only is it a beauty to behold in its tank, but 9,000 Bells is actually pretty low for all the time and effort you’ll invest in catching it. There are much better ways to earn money in New Horizons so do the noble thing and pass it along to Blathers.

At the end of the day there isn’t anything special you’ll need to do to land an Oarfish. By preparing ahead of time and ensuring you’re fishing during the right time of year, you’ll see the behemoth up close and personal before you know it.

Since the game’s release in March 2020, Animal Crossing: New Horizons has provided Nintendo Switch players with an awesome opportunity to showcase their creativity. Many players have used their game’s island as a way to pay tribute to other video games, and Twitter user @ACNH_Barkenos is no exception! On Twitter, she shared a stunning recreation of Mabe Village from The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, alongside an image of her inspiration, so her followers could see the similarities. For Zelda fans and Animal Crossing lovers, it’s a must-see, and the attention to detail is quite astounding!

Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been one of the Nintendo Switch‘s biggest success stories, but interest in the game has quieted down a bit over the last year. Part of that likely stems from a lack of new content, but that should be changing in the coming weeks! Nintendo has announced that an update for the game will release in November, finally bringing back Brewster and The Roost cafe. We don’t know anything else that will be included in the update, but Nintendo is set to pull back the curtain on the new content on Friday October 15th at 7 a.m. PT. The presentation will last for 20 minutes, so it seems like there should be quite a bit of content for Nintendo to showcase. Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Single-player, multiplayer

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a 2020 life simulation game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch it is the fifth main game in the Animal Crossing series. In New Horizons, the player controls a character who moves to a deserted island after purchasing a getaway package from Tom Nook, playing the game in a nonlinear fashion and developing the island as they choose. They can gather and craft items, customize the island, and form it into a community of anthropomorphic animals.

According to the developers, New Horizons began development in 2012. The game director, Aya Kyogoku, had the philosophy of retaining old content from previous games to keep fans happy while also making the game simple enough to appeal to newcomers. With art and graphics, they used the concept of “trigger of play” and the “imagination gap”, where the former kept the gameplay simplistic and easy to pick up while the latter kept the art style simple for the player to imagine the rest.

The First Of These Updates Arrives On July 29 Paving The Way For A Weekly Fireworks Show And New Seasonal Items

How to unlock shops and buildings in Animal Crossing: New ...

Despite it being some time since Animal Crossing: New Horizons got a substantial update, Nintendo has promised that more free content is currently in development for later this year, and it all begins with an update on July 29 that sets the stage for a weekly fireworks show and new seasonal items.

Nintendo shared the news on and while it didn’t give much of a hint as to how big these future updates will be or what they will contain, it did thank Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ fans for their support and patience and promises that “more information will be shared in the future, so please stay tuned.”

Fans have been curious about the status of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, a game that has sold more than 32 million units globally, and many have taken to sites like Reddit to share their frustrations with the community.

About a month ago, Reddit user TetrasSword noted that its been two months since in New Horizons, and the lack of communication from Nintendo on updates was becoming worrisome.

Have you played Animal Crossing: New Horizons?

“I figured now would be the time for a feature addition due to the lull in events in the next couple months but I almost feel like well get nothing at all,” TetrasSword wrote. “Well what do you guys think? Is an update still on its way? Is it time to give up on the game and accept theres not going to be any meaningful updates?”

Nintendo Announces Animal Crossing Update

While hopes were probably held back after the E3 debacle, players were still hopeful. However, those who were hoping for a detailed announcement are going to be very disappointed. The announcement came in the form of a 30 second teaser.

The teaser featured an Animal Crossing player entering the museum and reading a new sign for the Roost, showing that it was open 24/7, and that was it. The teaser was over as soon as it began. However, Animal Crossing fans will probably take it, as it promises something they’ve been waiting for.

Finally Isabelle thank you

While there aren’t many details surrounding the update, players can get excited knowing that if the Roost is coming, then Brewster is too. Brewster and the Roost are nearly inseparable, so Nintendo will likely not add one without the other.

Additionally, data mines showed that the Roost was possibly coming, as was Brewster and Gyroids. The teaser may not have shown much, but fans can make the leap and figure out that Brewster, the Roost and Gyroids are all coming.

Animal Crossing: Wild World

Unlike in the previous installment Wild World features one house that all players share. However, the house later expands into much larger dimensions than the previous games. The mailbox is shared by the players living in the house, but the player can only take out their own mail.

Gyroids are no longer present and have been replaced with an attic. The attic exists in the initial house, furniture cannot be placed in it apart from the beds it comes with, and it only exists as a place for players to “sleep” while they are not playing their character. Similar to the previous title, if the player does not save the game by sleeping in the Attic or using their START button to end the game, Mr. Resetti will visit the player upon their next sign in.

Exterior Styling of the house in Wild World saw the removal of the weathervane and butterfly ornament decorations, as well as the removal of Wisp which limits the player’s ability to customize the outside of their home compared to the previous titles. The player can purchase paint from Tom Nook following the first Store Upgrade, and the player will be given the opportunity to change their roof color upon each expansion upgrade.

The house is placed in a random location in the players’ town, as determined when the town is first created upon starting the game for the first time.
