Fun For All Ages Even Adults
I have been an Animal Crossing fan since I was 15. The first one I ever played was Animal Crossing: Wild World for the original Nintendo DS. I played that game every day over Christmas break when it first came out. And I enjoyed it for about 6 years after that. After my husband bought me a Nintendo 3DS for my birthday, my gaming tasted had changed. So I gave my old DS and Animal Crossing to my little brother. So even after all these years, its still being enjoyed. But when New Leaf was released, I just felt like I had to give it a try. Even though I was sure I was too old to get any kind of enjoyment out of it. I was wrong, in thinking that I was too old for it. Even though it is a little slow paced for me I still enjoyed it. Its fun to play after work to wind down after a hard day. The tasks are simple but not so easy that it doesnt make you do a little bit of work. The mini games are a blast, and I still have a lot more to unlock. I absolutely love it. I think I will be holding on to this one, even longer than I held on to the last one. But my favorite part? Its fun for a 22 year old woman, like me, but I can also let my 5 year old niece play when she comes to visit. Its fun for everyone! Even my husband has been wanting to play it!
When Does Redd Appear How To Get Art In Animal Crossing
You first have to speak to Blathers in the museum after updating your game. Hell mention how the museum has grown over time and express an interest in expanding its collection into fine art and paintings. Itll only happen if youve donated 60 unique items to the effort, but so long as youve been keeping up with your daily fossil haul since launch day, you should have done more than enough to kick-start the initiative.
With that particular event flag triggered, the stage will be set for Redd to show up in the near future with a couple of these paintings to pass off to you. The first time he appears, hell be wandering around town ready to scam any old sucker.
While hes strolling around ashore, hell offer you a painting for an eye-watering 498,000 Bells, but you can tempt him down to a modest 4,980 with a few choice words. Unlike the rest of his goods, this first purchase is guaranteed to be a legitimate work of art, and exactly the kind of item that will push Blathers to open up the museums art exhibition should you donate it.
After this choice first encounter, Redd will appear periodically like Leif, Label, and Kicks. Youll find his Treasure Trawler ship down on the secret beach over the north cliff of your island. You might want to bring a ladder .

Does Animal Crossing: New Horizons End
Depending on how far along you are in your Animal Crossing: New Horizons game, theres a good chance that youve already seen the end credits. The games credits start to roll as soon as you attend K.K. Sliders first concert on your island . But anyone who puts the game away after that concert is missing out on the bulk of the games playtime.
After the concert, you unlock the terraforming abilities, which takes your island to the next level quite literally, in many cases. Obviously, seeing the games credits doesnt in any way indicate that the game is over. There are already people who have put 800+ hours into their Animal Crossing island! Rest assured, theres plenty left for you to do.
By design, Animal Crossing games have no built-in ending. You could still boot up your old GameCube and play the original Animal Crossing game . There are plenty of people who are still playing Animal Crossing: New Leaf on their Nintendo 3DS, even though the game is nearly seven years old. And Pocket Camp is still a thing, too!
Given Animal Crossing: New Horizons incredibly successful sales and cultural impact, Nintendo will in all likelihood continue to release new content for Animal Crossing: New Horizons for quite a while. Theyve already confirmed that theyll continue rolling out new content via intermittent updates as theyve already done with the May Day and Museum Day events, as well as things like cherry blossom season and the arrivals of Leif and Redd.

Weeks With Animal Crossing: New Horizons Reveals Many Frustrations
A new GamesBeat event is around the corner! Learn more about what comes next.
Ive had Animal Crossing: New Horizons for six weeks. Nintendo sent me a copy for review at the end of February, and Ive played it almost every day since then. I have more than 120 hours of playtime, according to my Switch Lite. Thats not as much as some, and thats actually one of the problems that Ive noticed since my review.
The issue isnt that I havent played as much as others but that I feel the need to make comparison in the first place. After the initial tutorial experience, which lasts approximately two weeks of daily play, New Horizons is devoid of explicit goals. Nintendo wants players to feel free to decide what to do. And while I havent put much time into achieving a 5-star rating for my island, I feel more and more like I should when I see others showing off theirs on Twitter.
When I wrote my review before the public release of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, I didnt realize just how much social media would change the way the game feels. Social channels were around in 2013, when Animal Crossing: New Leaf launched for 3DS. But they werent as ubiquitous. More important, it was significantly more challenging to post a screenshot from Nintendos dual-screen 3D portable than it is from the Switch.
Of course, that didnt stop me:

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Doesn’t Really Have An Ending
Players could also try bringing new villagers to their island to change the community. Animal Crossing: New Horizons has 397 villagers that can be invited to an island town. Players looking to shake things up could purposefully invite a slew of Animal Crossing’s worst villagers to their island and watch chaos ensure, or they could attempt to locate some of the more coveted and elusive villagers, like Raymond the cat. Having a new slew of villagers could freshen up a player’s daily interactions.
Sometimes the best way to breathe new life into a game, however, is to start over. Resetting an Animal Crossing save will allow a player to take on the challenges of the game anew, with a brand-new base island and a fresh slate of villagers. While resetting a saved game is an extreme measure, as only one Animal Crossing save file can exist on a Switch Console, it may be the perfect way for a player whose done everything to try again with a new set of strategies. Animal Crossing: New Horizons doesn’t really have an end for the game, but there are plenty of ways for players to keep gameplay fresh, and continue to challenge themselves both socially and creatively.

Wanna Play Animal Crossing Without A Nintendo Switch Try Pocket Camp
If you still canât find a Nintendo Switch, you can play the mobile version of the popular game.
Yes, this is my bug-catchinâ dress.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons has become a comfort blanket for Nintendo Switch players during the coronavirus pandemic. The gameâs simple tasks, like catching fish and bugs, decorating your island, gardening and collecting fruit â even just stopping by a friendâs island to say hello â are helping many cope with the loss of normalcy. Island life has started bleeding into reality with folks turning their real-life living spaces into makeshift paradises. One of our editors even threw a virtual birthday party in the game.
Iâll admit, a bit of FOMO set in when I saw so many of my friends playing the game, but I donât know if I could justify buying a Nintendo Switchâ especially since the gaming devices are sold out almost everywhere right now. Fortunately, thereâs another option â Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp.
Eugene is a pretty cool koala.
Pocket Camp is a free version of Animal Crossing thatâs available on iOS and Android. In Pocket Camp, youâre in charge of a campsite â craft furniture, personalize your tent and customize your camper. You can travel to different recreation spots, meet animals and grow your friendships in exchange for rewards. While youâre visiting, you can fish, gather fruit and collect bugs to trade later. All the friends you make can visit your campsite, too.
Find Treasure In The Maze
You’ll need the Tools and Materials you find to clear the Maze, and you won’t be able to bring anything other than Rover’s Brief Case and the Bell Vouchers you find back from the May Day island, so focus on getting to Rover with 3 pieces of fruit left in your inventory.
You Can Start Over Using the Rescue Service
If you ever get stuck in the maze, you can use the Rescue Services for 100 Nook Miles to go back to the port and reset the maze.
Genshin Impact Still Refuses To Increase Anniversary Rewards Despite Fan Outcry
It is important to note, however, that the maze is not randomly generated. The island in the other videos Ive seen around are identical to the one that I completed, just with different native fruit. so if youre truly feeling stuck, there are some good Youtube walkthroughs that can give you a step-by-step. Heres one:
At the end of the maze youll encounter Rover, a charming little cat from previous games whose presence on the island is as unclear as ours. Hell talk to you a little bit and give you Rovers Briefcase, which seems to be the main reward for the island. You can also snag a few bell vouchers, and I was able to get some White Cosmos, which arent native to my island.
Thats it! A fun little diversion, and fairly different from standard Animal Crossing gameplay. Not a long thing, but still worth it. These run from now until May 7, but it seems you can only go once.
House Expansions In Animal Crossing: New Leaf
Expanding your house is essential in any Animal Crossing game and New Leaf is no exception. The process has changed a bit in this version so were going to go over the basics today. Keep reading to learn about the possible expansions:
The best new addition to the House Expansion process in Animal Crossing: New Leaf compared to past games is probably that its no longer entirely linear. What this means is, at a certain point you can actually choose what you want to build next in your house. You arent entirely forced into building in the order the game demands you do.
Your house in New Leaf is by far the largest house youve ever been able to build in any Animal Crossing game so far. It uses the Wild World style of house with extra room expansions off to the left, top, and right sides but it also contains a basement which was cut from Wild World. Not to mention the side rooms are larger than they ever were in Wild World.
So anyway, here are the specifics of the expansions. Its kind of hard to format so bare with me here:
Starting Tent to 4×4 House 39,000 Bells
Expand 4×4 House to 6×6 House 98,800 Bells
Expand 6×6 House to 8×8 House 198,000 Bells
Add 4×4 Second Floor298,000 Bells
NON LINEAR EXPANSIONS START HERE YOU CAN PICK THE ORDER YOU WANT
Expand 4×4 Second Floor to 6×6498,000 Bells
Expand 6×6 Second Floor to 8×8 598,000 Bells
Add 4×4 Additional Room 348,000 Bells each
Expand 4×4 Additional Room to 6×6 498,000 Bells each

Take Part In Seasonal Events
New Horizons likes to celebrate plenty of holidays throughout the calendar year, whether they’re based on big holidays like Christmas with the island hosting “Toy Day” instead or smaller holidays that celebrate the changing of the season. With so much going on month in and month out, there’s always something new for players to try out and do.
Taking part in seasonal events is a great way to keep island life interesting, as well as adding to your collection of DIY recipes and furnishings since most events incorporate new crafting recipes or items as rewards.
Harvest Moon: Light Of Hope
The original rural life simulator game was 1996s Harvest Moon, created by Yasuhiro Wada of Marvelous Interactive. Sadly, the series hasnt been the same since Marvelous split from its publisher Natsume, meaning that the new Harvest Moon games havent been developed by the same studio.
Despite all this drama, you can still check out Natsumes most recent effort in the series that still bears the original name. Many would say it has been surpassed, but Harvest Moon: Light of Hope still packs a lot of nostalgia.

How To Become Best Friends In Animal Crossing
If youve just started playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you wont be able to visit other islands or invite someone to your island until some time has passed. Typically, people can start doing these things on their second day of playing. If you want additional help, check out this Animal Crossing multiplayer guide.
Note: If youre sharing an island with others, then youll each have your own best friend list that is separate from the other players on your island. Additionally, even though youre sharing an island, each player will need to be covered in a Nintendo Switch Online subscription to take part in any online functions.
Can You Take Home Bushes & Flowers From May Day Tour Island
As tempting as it might be, dont bother going around digging up all of the bushes on the May Day Tour island for keepsake purposes because you wont be able to bring them with you. All of your items will be lost when you leave the island, except for the Rovers Briefcase and Bell Voucher prizes you may have earned.
Getting Ready To Party And Preparing For The Future
After you help your neighbors, youll be brought back to the plaza and given a new task: gather 10 tree branches. Tree branches are the tiny sticks youve seen scattered around. While youre standing on one, press Y to pick it up.
If you cant find enough branches on the ground, stand next to a tree and press A to shake it. Every time you shake a tree, theres a chance that a branch will fall out. You can keep shaking a single tree as many times as you want, and as long as theres open space around the tree , itll keep dropping branches.
Speaking of weeds: if you have the patience, whenever you pass over one, press Y to pluck it. Itll be stored in your inventory as a clump of weeds, and you can stack up to 99 of them in a single inventory slot. Not only will plucking weeds help your island look better, but you can also sell them later for a decent amount of cash.
Once you bring back your branches, youll be asked to fetch six pieces of fruit. Same tips apply here: shake fruit-bearing trees, while picking up weeds, branches, and stones you pass.
Bring them back to Tom, and youre almost done. Heres where youll face possibly the most important part of your journey: naming your island.
Every islander will get a chance to name the island, but only yours will be chosen. You only have 10 character slots, including spaces and any punctuation. Theres no time limit on this, so take as much time as you need.
