Consider How They Decorate
Analyzing and understanding the AI of a game is no easy task, but it’s safe to say that villagers have elements of randomness/preferences that help them feel unique and less like simple programs. Villagers not only choose random activities to partake in during the day such as exercising or snacking, but they can rotate the furniture they’ve been gifted in and out of their home.
Players may visit one day to find that certain items are on display while others aren’t. Luckily, this doesn’t mean that the furniture is gone, otherwise furniture would be obliterated whenever a villager decided to craft a DIY. Keep in mind what furniture your favorite villager tends to rotate in and out.
What Is The Max Number Of Villagers You Can Have
The maximum number of villagers you can have on your island in Animal Crossing New Horizons is 10. This is due to the amount of space available, ensuring that there’s enough factored in for additional buildings and shops. For more on inviting new people, head here. It is possible that this number could increase as you raise the rating of your island, but after 60 hours in our game, ten seems to be the limit.
How Many Villagers Can Live On Animal Crossing Island
As we all know, there are hundreds of animal villagers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Some of them are old villagers and some are new villagers. But it is unrealistic to gather all the villagers on one island. A bold player asked how many villagers can there be on the animal crossing island?
With the current rules, 10 people can live on an island. The limit of 10 villagers does not include player characters, so fans are advised to consider this when planning their island layout. Especially in situations where multiple players will share an island, this is especially important to ensure that everyone has enough space in their home.
There are three methods for bring 10 villagers to their islands:
The first is to randomly recruit villagers from the trip to the mysterious island, just talk to them and send out an invitation.
The second is to randomly invite villagers to visit the camp. Fans can enter after upgrading the resident service tent to a mature building.
The last and most widely used method is to buy Animal Crossing Villagers from ACBellsBuy to improve comfort, provided that space is available for new residents

Do I Need To Have All 8 Personalities On My Island
No, you dont. There are some benefits to having all 8 personalities, such as unlocking all of the reactions as well as easily getting all the villager-crafted DIYs. The game also encourages personality diversity by personality-locking your first 6 villagers:
- Villagers 1 and 2 are Jock and Uchi
- Villagers 3-5 are Peppy, Normal, and Lazy
- Villager 6 is Smug
That said, theres no requirement to do this, and you should have the villagers on your island that you enjoy the most!
Animal Crossing: New Horizons Villagers: How To Get New Ones Getting Them To Leave Amiibo Cards
Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Sooner or later, you get tired of them. It makes sense! They can be annoying. Your island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is defined by your villagers, the weird little misfits who, for whatever reason, have washed up on your shores. Some are fun, some are absolute treasures, some are irritating, some are jerks but you like them anyways. But they are not, crucially, static. If youve been on your island for a little while, you might be wondering how to get some new ones by getting the old ones to leave. Heres what you need to know.
The Basics: In the beginning, you get villagers a few different ways, either by building some special items for their homes or by plunking down a new plot of land from Tom Nook. But theres a limit: you can only have 10 villagers, and once youve reached that point Nook wont give you any new plots.
At that point, you need to get one to leave before getting a new one.
Getting a Villager to Leave:
While Ive seen some theories about whacking them with nets, there isnt much conclusive evidence on the subject. There is one surefire method, but it takes a little while to get it to work.
Do this for long enough, and eventually, youll see them with a dilemma. Theyll be walking around pensively, with a thought bubble above their heads. At this point, you want to talk to them. If everything went according to plan, theyll ask you if you think its a good idea to leave. Nudge them in the right direction.

Other Villagers That Are Not In Animal Crossing: New Horizons
As previously mentioned, there are 56 Animal Crossing villagers that were not featured in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. It is worth pointing out that the majority of these villagers were only featured in the Japanese-exclusive series Animal Forest, making most of them unfamiliar to players outside Japan. However, there are still a handful of villagers in this list that were introduced in newer Animal Crossing games such as New Leaf and;Pocket Camp, and it remains a mystery as to why they were not selected to appear in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.;
- Aisle, Belle, Betty, Bow, Carrot, Chai, Champ, Chico, Ciara, Clara, Dozer, Elina, Epona, Faith, Felyne, Flash, Flossie, Fruity, Gen, Hank, Hector, Holden, Huggy, Iggy, Jane, Jubel, Kit, Leigh, Madam Rosa, Marty, Masa, Megumi, Meow, Nobuo, Nosegay, Oxford, Pigleg, Quetzal, Rhoda, Rilla, Rio, Shinabiru, Sue E., Sunny, Tarou, Tiara, Twirp, Valice, Viché, Wolf Link, Yodel, and Zoe.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now for the Nintendo Switch.
Remember Which Clothes They Can Wear
When giving a clothing item to a villager, it’s always a good idea to keep in mind which clothes they can actually show off.;Villagers can wear shirts, sweaters, dresses, most hats, and glasses. This leaves out shoes, socks, backpacks, and pants, though they will still accept these clothing items.
A great way to see which clothing villagers can wear is to go to Harv’s Island, where all clothing catalogued by the player will be available for modelling on their villagers

Break Out The Big Bells
There are plenty of expensive items;in Animal Crossing, meaning that players can lavish their villagers with the most valuable items, and so they should! The more expensive an item of furniture is, the more friendship points will be rewarded.
The value of the gift given will also prompt a villager to gift an item in return, depending on the item’s resell value. Gifting an item that would get 2500+ bells at Nook’s Cranny will make the villager give an item of furniture in return. Furthermore, receiving an item will reward bonus friendship points, the amount depending on the current level of friendship.
Why Animal Crossing: New Horizons Only Lets You Have 10 Villagers
Animal Crossing: New Horizons limits players to ten villagers on their islands at once, and the reasons behind this actually make perfect sense.
One of the main attractions of the;Animal Crossing series is the selection of over 400 different villagers that have been added throughout the franchise’s lifespan. With so many choices, some players may be tempted to collect as many of these lovable neighbors as they possibly can. Unfortunately, Animal Crossing: New Horizons;restricts players to a maximum of ten villagers on their island at once. While this limit may seem overly strict when compared to the total number of villagers in;the series, it serves several important functions in improving;the game’s overall experience.
There are several features that go into the quality of Animal Crossing games. While the series has experienced serious change over its lifetime, the ability to create a peaceful virtual utopia with villagers that get along in Animal Crossing has been a regular appeal. Decorating homes, catching bugs or fish, and paying off the debts thrust upon players by Tom Nook all contribute to the game’s final vision, which would be much more crowded if ACNH had allowed more than 10 villagers to live on player islands.

How Many Villagers Can You Have In Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Even though Animal Crossing boasts over 400 villagers, each with their own distinct personalities, players can only house up to 10 villagers at once.
However, it is possible that seeing the same faces every day might get extremely boring. Fortunately, Animal Crossing: New Horizons allows players to evict the villagers they don’t like to replace the villagers they want to have on their islands.
Players can evict the villagers they dislike either by ignoring them or complaining about their appearance or behavior to Isabelle. Unsurprisingly, this process takes a little time but gets the job done.
However, it is important to note that the evicted villagers get replaced as there is no way to increase the number of maximum villagers that you can house on your island at a time.
The decision to evict a villager is made easier if players find them annoying or if their personalities don’t correspond with other characters on the island. Considering each villager has a different personality type, it may clash with others on the Animal Crossing island.
Hence, players can choose to evict the villagers they don’t like and invite others by using Amiibo cards.

How To Get Your First Three New Villagers In Animal Crossing: New Horizons
In previous Animal Crossing games, villagers would simply move into your town and set up a house. New Horizons, however, has changed this system to make it more in keeping with the deserted island theme of the game.
When you first arrive on your island, you’ll be accompanied by two villagers and, as you slowly progress through the game, you’ll be able to invite more villagers to your island.
The maximum number of villagers you can have living on your island is 10.
The first time you’ll be able to invite new villagers to your island will be after Nook’s Cranny opens. Tom Nook will give you three housing kits to place around the island.
Once you’ve decided where to place these kits, you’ll next have to build three pieces of interior furniture and three pieces of exterior furniture for the villager whose house this will be.
After crafting this furniture, your new villagers will settle on your island one day after the other. This means that if you build all the furniture in one day, then it will take three days for each villager to arrive.
This is the only time you’re required to build furniture to make villagers move to your island. Instead, you simply have to set aside a plot of land for them to live on.
How to set aside a plot of land for a villager’s house
Setting aside a plot of land for a new villager will cost you 10,000 bells.
You’ll also be rewarded with some Nook Miles once they move in.

Reaching New Heights: Level 99 And Beyond
How exactly did I end up reaching level 99? Im not entirely sure. There were definitely times when I was sitting at home preparing to make dinner, when Id look down to discover Id been mindlessly playing Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp for twenty minutes.
Id invited new animals to my campsite and harvested dozens of flowers that served no purpose. My character was wearing overalls, flip flops, and aviators. I dont even remember changing her outfit. This game was so boring it didnt even require consciousness to play.
Every night I would lie in bed, playing Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp until I inevitably passed out from boredom. As someone whos suffered from insomnia for most of her life, I cant tell you how incredible it is to feel yourself lulled to sleep. This game cured me. It was compelling enough to distract me from the mundane but mindless enough to play as I was drifting off.
I heard about the players who designed their campsites to look like internment camps and small bunny prisons. I hopped on that bandwagon right awayhow could I not? But in time, I felt an attachment to my tiny digital animal friends and wanted them to feel comfortable when visiting my campsite. Does this reflect my blossoming maternal instinct as I near the ripe age of 30? Probably not.
Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp
Over time, I leveled up. I picked a lot of apples and handed them out to various cows and monkeys who most definitely didnt eat them.

How Many Villagers Can You Have On Your Island
With the game just launching, few players know for sure. We do know a couple of things for sure. First, you can have eight human players on your island. Second, there are 383 villagers available in the game. What we arent totally sure of yet is the exact number of villagers that can live on your island, but from reports of players who have had the game longer than most we do have a theory. It seems like you can have at least ten villagers come and live on your island paradise, but dont be surprised if more show up beyond this as were still digging into the game to verify.
Well be monitoring for updates as the game grows and expands, but this seems to be the case at launch. The game starts with a few villagers already on your island, and more move in pretty quickly. After that you just have to be patient and keep working on doing chores and clearing space and more will show up down the road.
Theres no main way to attract new villagers to your island, but just playing the game and continuing to improve the space. Theyll show up sporadically and you can make friends with them then invite them to stay. And just like all the other houses, you can decide where they go and eventually move them if you need to. Still, choose wisely who you invite to stay and where their house goes. It can be difficult to get them to move.

Farm Those Villager Requests Multiple Times A Day
As you travel around the different recreational zones in your Camper, you will meet many different Villagers wandering around. These characters offer a bit of dialog, as well as three different requests that you can complete for them in exchange for certain rewards. Its important to complete these Villager requests since its the only way of increasing the friendship level with the corresponding character, as well as farming player experience in order to level up and unlock more crafting recipes. Moreover, these requests also give plenty of crafting materials, which youll definitely need later on.
The Villagers in Animal Crossing;stay in one place for a three hours before leaving, after which others will take their place. Make sure to talk with them and complete their requests before they leave as this is the key to getting started in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. The objective here is to come back, ideally, every three hours to chat with Villagers and complete their requests. However, if you can manage to play at least twice per day, youll be fine.
