Important Notes Regarding Save Data
– This game does not support the Save Data Cloud functionality of Nintendo Switch Online. However, a service to back-up Animal Crossing: New Horizons save data and recover it from the server in the event of console failure, loss or theft is available to Nintendo Switch Online members. For more information, please see our Support section.
– For more information on how to transfer save data and/or move users from one Nintendo Switch console to another, please visit our Support website.
Once finalised, island names and primary player names cannot be changed. These names can be seen by others during local/online play, and for that reason these names are subject to moderation. The world of Animal Crossing is welcoming to all, so please don’t include personal info or offensive words when choosing island and player names.
1Active internet connection required.
*Local multiplayer requires one compatible controller per player. Additional controllers may be required. Up to 8 players registered as users on a Nintendo Switch console can live on one shared island, and up to four residents of one island can play simultaneously on one console. Please note: only one island can exist per Nintendo Switch console, irrespective of the number of users registered to or copies of the game used on one console. One Nintendo Switch and one copy of the game is required for each unique island.
How Does Cloud Save Data Work On Nintendo Switch Online
For subscribers, game data will automatically be backed up to Nintendo servers if you have an internet connection. If you sign in to your account on a new console, you’ll be able to download that data and pick up right where you left off. It’s an easy, simple way to protect the time you’ve invested in Nintendo Switch games.
Certain titles aren’t compatible with this feature, to prevent cheating. On the surface, that seems to make sense — players can’t hack their Pokemon Sword and Shield data to get all the starters — but it means that competitive multiplayer games with a single-player component aren’t protected. If you lose your Switch and want to pick up where you left off in Splatoon 2’s single-player campaign, you’ll be out of luck.
If you cancel, you have six months to resubscribe before your cloud data is potentially deleted, Nintendo told IGN. That’s the same amount of time Sony gives PlayStation Plus users.

Random: Heres How Much Your Animal Crossing: New Horizons House Would Cost In Real Life
Image: Nintendo Life
Fully upgrading your home in Animal Crossing: New Horizons costs a lot of Bells, with that pesky Tom Nook draining your resources left, right and centre, but have you ever wondered how much your island getaway might cost in real life?
Strangely enough, online comparison service Money has been calculating exactly that, analysing a number of properties from games, films and TV shows to see how theyd fit alongside real-life houses.
Its report says, The value of each fictional property was calculated individually based on canon information from the game, television show or film using location data and bedroom count and collated with real-life comparisons of average property prices in a corresponding area or a conversion from fictional to real currency.
So, on to the data. Apparently, a fully-upgraded Animal Crossing home is likely to cost around £359,339 , and if you were to take out a 25-year mortgage with a 10% deposit, youd be paying £1,533.63 a month.
Money even went to the trouble of creating this listing for the property, as if it were being put on the market.
The nearby amenities do sound pretty sweet, though.
The New Horizons home isnt the most expensive on the market, either. According to the same report, Bowsers Castle is estimated to cost around £4.39 million while Tomb Raiders Croft Manor was valued at a whopping £31.36 million. Your player characters house in Pokémon Sword and Shield would be around £343,914.
What Is The Animal Crossing Happy Home Paradise Price
During the Animal Crossing Direct, Nintendo dove into the pricing model for the Happy Home Paradise DLC, but it wasnât as straightforward as you might expect. Happy Home Paradise is not free, though if you purchase the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, the DLC is included at no additional cost.
The Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack is the enhanced version of the paid subscription service, offering N64 and Sega Genesis games in addition to the current catalog of NES and SNES retro titles. It costs $50 annually, as opposed to the $20 price point for the basic Nintendo Switch Online service.
So, for an extra $30 per year, youâll gain access to a slew of additional games, along with the Happy Home Paradise DLC, which could be worth it, depending on your tastes.
In a statement to Digital Trends, Nintendo confirmed that players who gain access to the DLC via the subscription service wonât lose the associated items if the membership is canceled .
âPlayers can keep all items theyâve acquired using the DLC during their membership to use on the main island,â a Nintendo spokesperson told the publication.
This means players can dive into the DLC, cancel their Expansion Pack membership, and still retain all of the items tied to Happy Home Paradise. Canceling the membership will cause players to lose access to the meat and potatoes of the DLC, such as the job system, and the content associated with the archipelago. Only your items will remain if you unsubscribe.

Do Downloaded Games Stay On Switch
If you buy a physical copy of a game, there is no issue, and they can be transferred freely between consoles. It gets a little more complicated with digital games, but it is still doable. The first time you connect to the Nintendo eShop with a Nintendo Switch, that switch becomes that accounts Primary Console.

Which Happy Animal Crossing Home Paradise Dlc Purchase Option Is Best
Many avid New Horizons players likely already have a base Nintendo Switch Online subscription which costs $20 per year if all 12 months are bought concurrently since its required for online multiplayer. Upgrading to an individual plan that includes the Expansion Pack would be an additional $30, and New Horizons Happy Home Paradise is $25 by itself. Getting the Animal Crossing DLC through NSO will also lead to a partial loss of access without an active subscription.
The Expansion Pack adds some convolutedness to Nintendos arguably lackluster online service, and many fans arent happy with the Expansion Pack price. Those singularly interested in the Animal Crossing DLC might be better off simply purchasing Happy Home Paradise from the eShop outright, since the only other current benefit to upgrading to the NSO + Expansion Pack instead is the N64 and Genesis games. The value of the new content coming to Animal Crossing: New Horizons is subjective, and $25 is on the high end for DLC, but it appears to bring a significant number of new gameplay features.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons Happy Home Paradise will be released for Nintendo Switch on November 5, 2021.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Disappointing News Officially Confirmed By Nintendo
Nintendo has officially confirmed some disappointing news about Animal Crossing: New Horizons as far as Animal Crossing fans on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, and Nintendo Switch OLED are concerned. On November 5, Animal Crossing: New Horizons‘ first paid DLC, Happy Home Paradise will release. And according to Nintendo, it will be the first and last paid DLC. In other words, the game is not getting any more paid DLC following Happy Home Paradise. The disappointing news doesn’t end with this though. Nintendo also confirmed the free update releasing alongside the premium DLC will also be the last major free content update. There will be more updates in the future but none that fit the bill of “major free content update.” What does this mean? Well, it means the game’s support is coming to an end.
“The free update launching on Nov. 5 will be the last major free content update,” reads the statement. “We hope that players will continue enjoying their island life in real-time and throughout the changing seasons. Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Happy Home Paradise introduces a new gameplay experience in which the player joins the Paradise Planning team and helps make their client’s dream resort home become a reality. It is a major update to Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and offers a distinguishing and different gameplay experience. Therefore, it made sense to include it as the first and only paid DLC for Animal Crossing: New Horizons.“

Is It Worth Buying A Nintendo Subscription For Animal Crossing
A lot depends on what you plan to do in Animal Crossing. The game is so rich in content that even without visiting your friends you wont be bored anyway. The ability to sell turnip on other players islands makes it a lot easier, but it is also not necessary to have fun. So, if you dont have any friends with whom you could play together, then theres no point in paying the subscription. Also, remember that you can use a seven-day free trial to check the multiplayer features.
However, if you have many fans of Animal Crossing among your friends, then its worthwhile to get interested in Nintendo Switch Online Subscription. The subscription cost is still lower than membership options offered by all other consoles. Also, you will be able to benefit from its advantages in other games as well.
What If I Just Want To Transfer A Single Acnh Villager From One Switch To Another
Its also possible to transfer sole villagers from one Switch to another, so long as youre not trying to move the island representative character. As with the full island transfer, youll need to make sure Animal Crossing: New Horizons is installed and fully updated on both consoles.
On your original Switch, boot up Animal Crossing using the account whose character youd like to move. Dont proceed past the title screen. Instead, click the minus button to open the settings, select Move to a new island, then click on Move me off the island, then click Yes, Im ready, then click Yes, Im ready again.
On your new Switch, in Animal Crossing, select the dialogue option Im moving when talking to the characters Timmy and Tommy. Theyll ask you if youve sent through a transfer request, to which you should respond in the affirmative. Select Start the process. You should see names for both your island and the resident you want to move. If so, click on Yes, that is correct.
Now, back on your original Switch, click on I want to move. Yes, thats right: Nintendo has you affirm your intention to move not one, not two, but five times. The move is irreversible, by the way, so maybe five check-ins is fair.
Thats it! You did it.

How Do I Get The Retro N64 Genesis Snes And Nes Controllers For Switch
For those who want to feel legit old-school when playing the console’s retro library, you need the controller to match. Subscribers can preorder wireless, Switch-compatible Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis controllers from Nintendo for $50 apiece. These expensive controllers are currently sold out, and Nintendo noted that the N64 one won’t be back in stock until 2022.
