How Turnips Work In Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Cheat – Massive Bells from Turnips and Time Travel

    Every Sunday, most players’ minds will turn to Animal Crossing: New Horizons turnips, thanks to the arrival of an NPC called Daisy-Mae. These vegetables aren’t for growing though, as they’re actually the game’s version of a stock market of sorts – aka the stalk market.;

    On Sundays, you buy turnips for one price, and then you aim to sell them before the next Sunday rolls around – hopefully for a higher price than you paid for them. Each day, the Nook nephews will buy turnips from you at a different price. It’s then a gamble as to when you sell them – and what size profit you make.;

    When To Buy Turnips From Daisy Mae

    Daisy Mae’s turnip prices will be different each Sunday and range from 90 Bells to over 100 Bells. Regardless, you have to buy them in bundles of 10. Buying turnips under 100 bells is usually a good bet. Consider writing down how much you bought them for, or take a screenshot of the price for reference.

    If you’ve got friends playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons, be sure to check what prices they have. You can visit their town and buy turnips from Daisy Mae if they’re cheaper. There are also some apps out there, such as Turnip Prophet, that let you predict price fluctuations and major spikes.

    You cannot plant turnips, so don’t try to grow more!

    How Do I Sell Turnips At A Profit

    Once you have your stalk stock, the idea is to try and sell them on at a profit.

    You can sell your turnips at the Nooks Cranny shop from Monday through to Saturday .

    But its not quite as simple as that. The buying prices of turnips fluctuate throughout the week, and youll want to keep your eyes out for the highest prices if you want to turn the biggest profit.

    Prices per turnip can range anyway from a measly 15 Bells, to an eye-watering 800 Bells. Typically though, theyll be in the range of 50 200 Bells.

    There will be two different prices per day with the change occurring at noon so youll want to check back with Timmy and Tommy regularly to grab the best prices.

    How To Store Turnips

    If you bought an abundance of turnips, you may be wondering where to put them. Well, you can’t put them in your house inventory, but you can just leave them on the floor. Yes, really, just leave them on the floor in your house until you want to sell.

    Alternatively, if you’re not inviting friends over or sharing a Dodo Code, you can also just drop them in open places outside or on the beaches. Just remember: if someone comes to visit, they can pick up your turnips. You could, of course, build a fully enclosed fence around your outdoor turnip storage, too.

    Catching Ants from Rotten Turnips! – Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Gameplay Part 51

    As we mentioned above, Turnips power the Animal Crossing version of the stock market, called the stalk market . Like the stock market, the price of Turnips fluctuates greatly day-to-day – one day they might be up, one day they might be down massively.

    In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Turnip merchant Daisy Mae will visit your island once a week after you’ve built Nook’s Cranny. She visits on Sundays, but unlike most other daily visitors she only hangs around until 12p.m. so be sure to check in with her in the morning.

    Once you’ve located Daisy Mae , she’ll give you the opportunity to buy Turnips. Daisy Mae’s Turnip prices are different every week, with around 90 Bells being the minimum you can expect to pay per Turnip, and around 110 Bells being the usual maximum. Turnips are individually priced, but sold in bundles of ten ten being the smallest functional unit of Turnips in the game. So, for example, if this week’s Turnip price is 90 Bells, you’ll actually need to fork out a minimum of 900 Bells to buy any at all; and will need to sell them a minimum of ten at a time as well.

    And of course, there’s a further caveat: Turnips spoil in seven days, so you’ll have to sell them at Nook’s Cranny and make your profit before the following Sunday. In practice, this means that the following Saturday at 10pm is your last chance to sell them, as the Nooklings have a firm policy not to buy Turnips on Sundays. If you miss the window, the Turnips spoil, and are monetarily worthless.

    Storing Turnips And The Terrors Of Time Travel

    Unlike Daisy Mae, you cant pull millions of turnips out from your pocket like its nothing. Those things take up valuable inventory space for most of the week, making the rest of your island life a little less relaxing than it ought to be. Turnips cant be stored with the likes of your clothes, wood, and leftover Bunny Day crafts, but that doesnt mean the space afforded by all those house upgrades will go to waste.

    Turnips can be placed like furniture. In fact, its the only way to get them out of your pocket. Be it inside on your fancy modern wood flooring or outside on the grass, turnips will sit pretty either on the floor or atop a surface like a table or a shelf. One thing to note is that Isabelle and the rest of your island denizens dont take kindly to turnips left on the ground. They wont make any passing comments, but a single turnip left lying around will knock your five-star town rating right back down. Clear out the basement if you want to keep things clean.

    Once youre ready to sell, all you have to do is pick them up and lug them over to the Nooklings.

    What Are The Rules Of The Turnip Exchange

    Again, this exchange works on an honour system and therefore, there are some rules they ask that all users follow:

    • When you are queued up and waiting, be sure to keep an eye on the amount of people ahead of you, and plan to be ready to enter the Dodo Code within a minute of receiving it.
    • Once on the island, stay in the queue and only click “Leave Queue” after you left the island. Otherwise, the next person in line is going to get the Dodo Code before they should and it can cause delays.
    • Be sure to follow the rules your host created if they have any in the description.

    We’ve had reports of users buying and selling millions of Bells’ worth of turnips – so if you’re as money-hungry as Tom Nook, it’s definitely worth a shot. Who knows – besides making money and gathering goods, you may even encounter a new friend or two via the Turnip Exchange. Happy selling!

    Selling Turnips for 14 MILLION BELLS! 7X Return! – Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Gameplay Part 39

    Unlike how buying the turnips can be done only once a week, selling the turnips can be done any day of the week except on Sunday at Nook’s Cranny. There;is a myriad of tasks that should be done daily in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and turnips can be a big part of that routine.

    The turnips can be sold to Tommy each day, but they will be sold for a different price. The trick of the game is that the player will have to gamble on that price. Tons of things can be bought and sold at Nook’s Cranny, including the Bell Voucher that costs 500 Nook Miles.;The offer that Tommy gives for the turnips on Tuesday may be significantly better than what he gives on Friday, for example. So if the player notices an extremely low offer one day, it’s probably safe to pass on that offer, but it may be worth it to sell on the offer that is relatively decent later in the week.
