Can Get By Diving
Pearls can be obtained by diving in the water and picking them up, just like Sea Creatures. Their sale price is quite high, and are used for Mermaid set DIY Recipes, so you’ll want to stock up on them!
Cannot Be Donated To Blathers
Pearls are not considered a Sea Creature, meaning they can’t be given to Blathers in the museum. They are instead treated as a DIY crafting material!
Animal Crossing: New Horizons Fish Guide: How When And Where To Catch All The Fish
Hooking all the Animal Crossing: New Horizons fish in the game is part of making sure Blathers’ museum is fully kitted out. Because it’ll take you the best part of the entire year, the Animal Crossing: New Horizons fish collection is rather prized. But that means you can take joy in the catching, and discovering everything Animal Crossing: New Horizons has to offer – and this doesn’t even include the new Animal Crossing: New Horizons sea creatures either.
With all that in mind, we’ve been working across two Animal Crossing islands to bring you all the fish currently available across the north and south hemispheres. It’s worth noting that certain fish are only available in certain locations, at certain times during specific months, so you’ll need to check all patches of water. Here are the specific locales we’ve discovered:

Diving In Animal Crossing
While swimming, you can dive underwater and catch new sea creatures like sea stars, which can be donated to the museum. To dive, press Y on your joy-con controller to submerge your character under the water. You can dive anywhere in the water, but to find an item, look for a shadow and bubbles above the water, and then dive to collect it.
A second summer updating is coming in August of 2020, but Nintendo hasnt revealed what the update will contain.

Musculature And Nervous System
A primitive nervous system, without centralization, coordinates the processes involved in maintaining homeostasis, as well as biochemical and physical responses to various stimuli. There are two nerve nets, one in the epidermis and one in the gastrodermis; these unite at the pharynx, the junctions of the septa with the oral disc and the pedal disc, and across the mesogloea. No specialized sense organs are present but sensory cells include nematocytes and chemoreceptors.
The muscles and nerves are much simpler than those of most other animals, although more specialised than in other cnidarians, such as corals. Cells in the outer layer and the inner layer have microfilaments that group into contractile fibers. These fibers are not true muscles because they are not freely suspended in the body cavity as they are in more developed animals. Longitudinal fibres are found in the tentacles and oral disc, and also within the mesenteries, where they can contract the whole length of the body. Circular fibers are found in the body wall and, in some species, around the oral disc, allowing the animal to retract its tentacles into a protective sphincter.

Thanks to a new update to the game, as of today we can all buy a wetsuit and start swimming out into the ocean surrounding our islands.

The process is super easy and since you’re just out there catching things with your hands you don’t have to worry about any tools breaking. All you need is a wetsuit which you can buy in Nook’s Cranny shop now.

How To Tell If A Sea Creature Is Fast In Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Players who have just begun diving for sea creatures and who have not yet found them all at least once to enter in their encyclopedia typically won’t be able to tell which shadows belong to fast sea creatures. Much like fish shadows, there is not much to denote whether a creature will be the quick Giant Isopod or the considerably slower Tiger Prawn apart from shadow size.
Players should approach any bubbles in the water as slowly as possible until they can more easily determine whether the shadow belongs to a faster or slower sea creature. This way, no matter what, they won’t scare off a potentially valuable critter.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Sea Creatures can be found in the ocean, though youll need to dive down to find them. Each type can be found throughout the ocean, whether thats close to the shore or a little further away. Its worth noting that some creatures will try to speed away from you a little faster than others, with faster critters usually being the rare types.
Pearls that can be used in Mermaid DIY recipes can also be found by diving so hold on to those when you find them.
How to swim in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
To get into the water and find sea creatures, youll need a wetsuit, which you can pick up from Nooks Cranny for 3000 Bells or Nook Shopping for 800 Nook Miles.
After that, you can head to a pier or the rocks near the ocean and press A to jump in. You can also walk in off the beach, though running and jumping off rocks or the pier is much more satisfying. Keep pressing A to swim around and press Y to dive if you see a shadow or some bubbles coming out of the water. Press A when youre near the shadow to catch the critter.
How to identify sea creatures in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Like fish, sea creatures in Animal Crossing: New Horizons can’t actually be seen and identified until after they’re caught. However, there are a few indicators that can help you narrow down which creature you’re looking at or looking for.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons;first summer update is finally live. While its not quite summer for those of us in the Southern Hemisphere, we do get the new update and every feature involved. The first of these is diving, a returning mechanic from past games which allows players to dive into the ocean and hunt for sea creatures. Heres how diving works and how you can catch every critter.
If your game hasnt automatically updated, youll need to click the + button and manually select software update via the internet to get started. Youll know you have the latest version if Isabelles morning announcements include a description of the new diving activity.
To get started, youll need to head to Nooks Cranny and purchase a wet suit for 3,000 bells.
From there head to a beachfront, pier or overhanging rock and you can dive directly into the water using the A button. I recommend diving off the pier it produces a very satisfying splash.
Once youre in the water, you can swim freely using A to push forward. You can hold A to doggy paddle, it does tend to be quite slow, so mashing A constantly is your best option for moving around easily.
As you explore, youll notice bubbles rising to the surface.
These are sea creatures you can capture for your collection.
Theres also another cool surprise for players who catch scallops in their travels.

When you see these bubbles over an area, press the Y button to begin diving deep into the water and swim towards any shadows they look just like the fish shadows youre used to!
After chasing down a sea creature shadow, youll catch the critter which can either be donated to the Museum or sold at Nooks Cranny to Timmy & Tommy for Bells.

In addition to the Sea Creatures above, you can also find the Pearl item in the ocean while diving, which is used in Pascals Mermaid Set crafting recipes. While its found in the ocean, the Pearl does not technically count as a Sea Creature as it cannot be donated to the Museum or collected in the Critterpedia.
However, the Pearl shouldnt be overlooked as it is an important crafting material to make Mermaid Set furniture items and can be sold for a hefty 10,000 Bells each! Check out our full guide to getting Pearls here.

From Fish To Komodo Dragons The International Union For Conservation Of Nature Has Updated Its List Of The Worlds Most Endangered Species
In a world simultaneously on fire and underwater thanks to climate change, scientists have announced some good news: Several important tuna species have stepped back from the edge of extinction.
Two bluefin species, a yellowfin, and an albacore are no longer critically endangered or have moved off the leading international list of endangered species entirely. ;
The unexpectedly fast recovery speaks to the success of efforts over the past decade to end overfishing. But tuna are not the only species scientists are deliberating at the 2021 World Conservation Congress in Marseille, France, which is organised by the International Union for Conservation of Nature . Researchers caution that many other marine species remain imperiled For instance, more than a third of the worldâs sharks and rays remain threatened with extinctiondue to overfishing, habitat loss, and climate change.
âI think the good news is that sustainable fisheries are possible,â says Beth Polidoro, a marine biologist at Arizona State University. âWe can eat fish sustainably and without depleting the population to the point where it is on the road to collapse or extinction.â
At the same time, she warned that the changes in status should not be an incentive to lift quotas and catch as many fish as we want.
âWe need to keep doing whatâs working,â Polidoro says.
Ten years on, Polidoro says she was surprised to see so much improvement.

How To Catch Deep Sea Creatures In Animal Crossing New Horizons
In August you will be finding a lot of these creatures swimming in the ocean. Players who are in the Northern Hemisphere will see Flatform. Each worth 700 bells and will spawn between 4 PM to 9 AM. So if you are fishing in the Northern Hemisphere then note down the time to catch the Flatworm.
The best catches are reserved for the month-end, but you can still try finding them out. Vampire Squid and Sea Pineapple are two deep-sea creatures that can be sold for 10,000 bells each.
Some creatures will be no longer available like Seaweed is leaving Northern Hemisphere at the end of July. The same goes for Southern Hemisphere. Venus Flower Basket, Sweet Shrimp, and Sea Pig are leaving the hemisphere forever. You can also try for Abalone and Lobster.
There is less info on what Deep-sea creature is coming in the Southern Hemisphere. Do not worry we will update this soon, you can focus on what is leaving the ocean. A lot relies on the type of season, for example as Summer has ended some creatures will be no longer available for fishing.
But new ones will be replaced and it is still to find what is coming in. Animal Crossing Wave 1 of Summer Update is almost over where a lot of creatures will be finding a new home. Thankfully new updates will bring in new ones and it will be exciting to wait for what is planned for Wave 2.
Some Sea Creatures Swim Away
While some Sea Creatures don’t move even when you swim close to them, a lot of them try to get away from you. This also makes it easier to tell them apart, however, so it can work in your favor!
For example, Scallops and Octopuses move while Sea Anemones do not, so you can avoid the stationary Sea Creatures and aim only for the moving ones and vice versa, depending on what you’re looking for!
Drive the fast Sea Creatures towards the Net
Some of the Sea Creatures you can catch swim very fast, such as the Lobster and the Spider Crab. When catching fast-paced Sea Creatures, it helps a lot to steer them towards the net surrounding you island and trap them against it. Remember to repeatedly tap the A button too, to swim faster!
