New Animal Crossing Hairstyles: Shampoodle’s Hairstyles By Harriet
The Hairstyles by Harriet set adds seven more hairdos to Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the first of which is an elegant above-the-ears cut.
Even shorter still is the touseled look that’s added alongside the other new hairstyles.
A longer option includes different layers as well as bangs, which should be a fun and versatile hairstyle for Animal Crossing fans to try out.
Another short look is fairly similar to the middle part introduced in the Top Fab 4 set, though this hairstyle sweeps more to one side.
Hairstyles by Harriet adds a cute bob cut, which just covers the player character’s ears and would look great paired with a scarf or autumn jacket.
One longer option features hair that’s half up and half down, including a bun on the top of the head.
Lastly, this new Animal Crossing hairstyle includes two buns looped on the side of the head.
There are plenty of options to choose from in terms of new looks thanks to the latest Animal Crossing: New Horizons update. And that, alongside the multitude of brand new features coming to the game when it updates, should provide something for most fans to enjoy. Thankfully, the update and paid DLC are arriving in just a few short weeks.

How To Change Your Outfit In Animal Crossing: New Horizons Explained
From dresses to metal helmets, you’ll quickly find yourself amassing a large collection of clothing in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which you’ll no doubt want to wear.
You can keep your clothes in your inventory, but the easiest way to change your outfit is to use a wardrobe.
To build a basic wardrobe, you’ll need both its DIY recipe and:
- 12x Wood
Next place your new wardrobe either in your house or around your island and then open it up to change your clothes.
Any wardrobe you own will let you change any and all of your clothing items.
You can also change your outfit by visiting the Able Sisters and using their fitting room to try on any of the clothes they’re currently selling.
This will allow you to both check out your new style and, if you decide to buy the clothes, wear them.
How Is The Players Face Determined In Animal Crossing
The players face in Animal Crossing, Wild World, City Folk and New Leaf is determined by a series of questions while on the journey to their new town. The questions are different in each game. This also determines the players starting haircut but this can, in Wild World and later, be changed at Shampoodle for 3,000 Bells.
Hair colors in Animal Crossing: City Folk are identical to Animal Crossing: Wild World . All New Leaf hairstyles are also available for players to choose from in Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer and Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp .

How To Unlock Animal Crossing: New Horizons Character Customisation
Before you start the game proper, you’ll get access to a limited set of hairstyles, skin tones, cheek blush, and a few other options. But then, when you first arrive on the island, until you craft a couple of in-game items, you’ll have to stick with the face and clothing you’ve got.
To change your outfit and preview all the clothes you have in storage quickly and easily, you’ll need some kind of wardrobe. Unless you’re particularly lucky with the random drop of Animal Crossing: New Horizons crafting recipes, gifts, balloon presents and message bottles, you’ll actually have to wait until at least day five for Tom Nook to give you the recipe for a wooden wardrobe. You’ll receive it as part of the furniture customisation workshop, so as soon as he offers it to you, snatch it up.
It’s worth noting that seemingly anything with a door that opens in New Horizons can be used as a makeshift wardrobe. I’m talking mini-fridge, office locker, literally anything with a door that opens. Interact with it, and it’ll give you the prompt to ‘change’, and this will give you full wardrobe UI options.
To change the look of your face, skin colour, or gender though, you’ll need a mirror of some kind. I got one earlier than the wardrobe through the initial slate of furniture recipes you’re given by Tom Nook.
New Animal Crossing New Hairstyles: Top Fab 4 Pack
The Top Fab 4 pack includes four new hairstyles in total, including a loose braid that should be perfect for any potential farmers looking to harvest Animal Crossing‘s new crops.
A short middle-parted hairstyle is also available, which is a great choice for any fashion-forward players looking to spice up their character’s fall look.
The pack includes a textured high bun, which is a welcome move given just last fall Nintendo introduced another pack of hairstyles to add more inclusive options to the game.
Top Fab 4 also introduces another short buzz cut for Animal Crossing: New Horizons‘ players to utilize, which should prove to be versatile when it comes to wearing hats and other head accessories.

How To Change Your Look
Animal Crossing isn’t the most forthright in telling you how to change the look of your character. In order to try out something new, you’ll first need to acquire a mirror. Fortunately, one should become craftable pretty early on. Just keep visiting your villages and you might find them crafting and get them to share a DIY recipe with you. You should also look out for bottles washed up on your beach and balloons floating overhead. You might also find a mirror for sale at Nook’s Cranny.
Once you’ve built a mirror, place it somewhere in or around your home. Then, simply go up to it and press A. You’ll be taken to the character customization menu, which allows you to change your eyes, mouth, nose, skin color, hair color, and hairstyle. You’ll find that the mirror gives you six additional hairstyles in addition to the eight you got to choose from at the start of the game.
