Animal Crossing Not Just For Kids
This game is very intuitive to the creative mind of the gamer. The level of customization and the ability to share your mind with others is so inspiring. A player can decorate his/her home with different decor and furnishing that he/she gets from either doing quests for neighbors or by purchasing them from the town store who is run by a cool racoon named Nook. This game if for many levels of player and is what you make of it. It has its own stock market which is represtened by turnips which go up and down in value all week to which they will rot at the end. I give this game a high rating because of its outstanding creativity.
Earning Bells Is One Of The Most Important Things To Do In Animal Crossing New Leaf There Are Many Ways To Get Bells
The easiest way to earn Bells is selling. The player can earn over 10,000,000 bells by selling turnips, furniture, wallpapers, flooring, clothing, ore , bugs, fish, shells, diving, fruit, tools, and fossils. Any item can be sold for bells except for rotten fruit, fake art, and lost items. Also, Re-Tail gives more bells than the Nooklings, so keep that in mind.
Sometimes when the player shakes trees that don’t have fruit growing on them, 100 Bells will often fall from the tree. Beehives and certain furniture can also fall out of trees.
Another easy way to earn Bells is probably the most dangerous. When one goes to another player’s town , he/she should drop all the money on the ground and tells the other person to end session. At the 2nd rotation of the spinning thing, the player should flick the wireless switch. If the other person doesn’t receive an error, then the glitch worked. Then the player should go back to that town and pick up all his/her money. The player should have twice the Bells now. On rare occasions if it doesn’t work, all the Bells could disappear from the other person’s town.
Import Foreign Fruit To Sell It
As we hinted at further up the page, a staple of any Animal Crossing economy is the collection and sale of fruit. Fruit will sprout on trees around your island pretty much daily, and if you shake the trees or hit them with an axe you’ll they’ll fall to be collected. You can then sell these fruit to Timmy and Tommy for a profit. Simple, right?
Well, it’s not that simple. For one, every island has a ‘native’ type of fruit. This is the fruit found on your island naturally when you first fly in. This can be sold, but since they’re in abundance they’re not that valuable. You’ll get far more bells for foreign fruit imported from elsewhere. The easy way to get foreign fruit is to visit another island – either through a Nook Miles ticket, which gives you a random chance to visit a foreign fruit paradise, or through multiplayer, where you can coordinate with a friend who has differing fruit.
Once you have a foreign fruit, you can bring it back to your island to sell. Better yet, you can plant it on your island. This means in a few days a tree will sprout that will yield that fruit – providing long-term gains. I dedicated one whole corner of my island to turn it into a foreign fruit paradise, which in turn earned me many bells.

Sell Bugs Fish And Fossils
Catching and selling bugs and fish can be an excellent way to earn Bells. While its typically best to save any rare fish or insects until C.J. or Flick decides to pay you a visit since theyll pay 1.5x more, Nooks Cranny will still gladly accept any you have for sale.
You can also make some money by digging up fossils using your shovel at marked locations on your island. Up to five will spawn each day and can either be given to the museum or sold to Nooks Cranny. A pro tip is to have Blathers assess your fossils before selling them, which greatly increases their value.
Playing The Stalk Market
After youve unlocked Nooks Cranny, youll start getting a visit from Daisy Mae every Sunday morning and leaves around noon. This relative of Joan sells turnips and theyre not for eating! Instead, youll treat these like stocks — yeah, you read that right. Its called the Sow Joans Stalk Market, to be exact.
Like in Animal Crossings before, these turnips go bad after a week, so after you invest, you have a whole week to sell them. Timmy and Tommy wont buy them on Sunday, but they will any other day Their prices change in the morning and the afternoon.
Daisy Mae sells turnips each week at a different price per turnip. Sometimes it’s 97 Bells, sometimes it’s 92 Bells. Regardless, you have to buy them in bundles of 10. If you want to play this game make sure you have a lot of Bells on you! Like stocks, this is an investment, and so long as you sell your turnips before they rot, you should make money back.
When you decide to sell is entirely up to you, but keep an eye out for higher rates.
Turnip rates are usually at their highest on Tuesday, so try then! If the morning price isn’t appealing, you should probably sell some during the afternoon price.
Here are some things to keep in mind:
Sell Fruits Weeds And Shells
You can make money every day by selling items that appear naturally on your island. Early in the game, weeds are your best resource for making cash quickly. Shells that spawn along your islands beaches can also fetch a pretty penny.
Fruit, especially those that are non-native to your island, can be quite lucrative Nooks Cranny will buy any foreign fruit besides coconuts for 500 each. So the next time you find a new variety, make sure to bring a few back to plant on your island.
Sell Furniture And Crafted Items
Scouring for natural resources around your island can bring in a steady stream of Bells, though it’s a particularly good idea to prioritize using raw materials like wood, branches, and nuggets to craft various items. This is because these items tend to sell for quite a bit more than most raw materials and random finds around the island. You might want to craft a bunch of items with the sole intent of selling them right back.
Be sure to collect any spare, unwanted furniture you’ve previously made or have been gifted, as this will bring in pretty large quantities of Bells too.

Sell Fish Bugs And Shells
Catch fish and bugs with your Fishing Rod and your Net. Pick up shells while walking along the Beach. Any of these items can be sold, and there’s no limit to how many can be acquired in one day.
Sell Fish and Bugs to C.J. and Flick for 1.5x the Price
C.J. and Flick, who will start visiting your island after upgrading Resident Services, will buy fish and insects respectively at 1.5 times the normal price.
Store rare and more expensive fish and bugs in storage to sell them once they visit to maximize profit.

Recommended Bugs to Sell
Bugs that perch on Palm Trees during Summer, such as the Goliath Beetle and Horned Elephant are among the most profitable to sell. These bugs, however, are very difficult to catch and are only available during Summer.
Check out our list below for bugs that are very common, easy to catch, and fetch a good price when sold to Flick. He will buy these bugs at 1.5x the normal price.

Crafting Can Net You A Lot More Money Than Selling Raw Materials
One relatively new addition in Animal Crossing New Horizons is that of a more fleshed-out crafting system where the player character can collect crafting recipes and resources such as wood, iron and clay and then combine them to create items from scratch. The point here is simple: often, it’s more economical to craft items from the raw materials then sell the items than it is to sell the raw materials.
Here’s an example or two. If you fish an Old Tyre out of the water, you can sell it to Nook’s Cranny for 10 Bells. If you take the Old Tyre to a crafting station and craft a Tyre Toy item, however, it’ll be worth 20 bells. Another: you’ll get 750 bells for two Iron Nuggets. That same number of Iron Nuggets can be used to craft a Frying Pan, which sells for 1500 Bells. That’s double your money!
This is obviously a time-consuming activity. But if you’re early on in your island experience, it doesn’t hurt remotely to craft excess raw materials into items before you sell them. And remember, you probably want to keep at least a little of each back, as sometimes wood and iron, in particular, are used to gate progression where you’ll need to turn some in to open up new shops or build new infrastructure.
Catch And Sell Rare Bugs
Not only rare fish, but you can also even catch rare bugs and then sell them for a good value. Tarantulas and scorpions will get you a whopping 8,000 Bells. If you have some patience you can definitely catch them. When you spot a tarantula and go towards it, it will stand up on its hind legs. Stop right away and wait for it to back down. Now, go slowly and drop your bug net on it when it is not standing.
Prioritize Getting A Shovel And Get Digging
Luckily, you’ll be able to craft a shovel relatively quickly and painlessly in NH. It’s simply a matter of waiting for a day and getting Blathers to set up shop on your island, which is triggered after you’ve assembled a Flimsy Fishing Rod and a Flimsy Net. You’ll then simply need to nab five bugs or fish and bring them to Tom Nook.
Once you’ve gotten this valuable tool, you can go to work on digging up coveted goods and planting things that can pay off after playing the waiting game. You’ll want to be on the lookout for things like fossils to sell to Timmy in the Resident Services building, and you can also use it to mine precious materials from stone.
What Are Bells In Animal Crossing
Bells have been in Animal Crossing from the very beginning and they continue to be the main method for progressing. Theyre used for paying off loans, funding construction projects on your island, buying new clothes and furniture, and much more.
You can find your current Bell balance by checking the left-hand corner of your Pockets menu. You can deposit Bells and have them accumulate interest via the ABD in Resident Services.

As the name implies, each of the six rocks is guaranteed to contain bells, meaning if you follow our rock-tapping guide youll get a whopping 90,000 bells not a bad payout for just 2,000 miles.
Or, take a midnight flight and you may find scorpion island or tarantula island, depending on your season and hemisphere. On these auspicious nights, youll find the island only spawns these creepy 8,000-bell bugs, and if one attacks you youll wake up next to the pilot, so you can keep pursuing them until your inventorys full.

Simply go up to the trunk and press the A button on your Switch, and then your character will shake a tree lodging anything in the treetops loose. If you’re lucky, something rare will fall out. If nothing else, you can always gather up all of those fruits and sell them at Resident Services.
Selling Fish And Bugs
One of the best ways to make Bells early on in Animal Crossing New Horizons is to sell fish and bugs. Obviously, you’ll want to donate the new species that you find to Blathers , but spending some time fishing and catching bugs will quickly make you money. Fish like the Golden Trout are particularly lucrative, and keep an eye out for any Peacock butterflies while exploring your island .
