Go To Other Island With High Buying Prices And Sell Your Turnips There

Another approach is to sell your turnips on other islands with high buying prices. Your best resource for that kind of trading is the Turnip.Exchange. It is easy to use and you can quickly find islands that have high turnip prices. The only downside is that you have to wait quite a while until you get your turn. But when its your turn, youll be rich!

Turnip.Exchange has a queue system that allows only a small amount of people to be on the island at the same time. So the queue can have 30 users waiting while only 4 people will get the Dodo code to enter the island. Then one after the other will get the code to visit the island and sell the turnips.

Some island will require you to leave a small commission of one or two bags of 99k bells. But since a high price can give you multiple million bells its a small price to pay.

Now what if you have a good price on your own island? You should then make use of the third tip to earn some additional bells:

Invite Visitors From Other Island And Earn A Commission

In case you have a good price you can use Turnip.Exchange to invite people to your island. It will allow others to sell their turnips and you can earn a commission for ever visitor.

Simply go to Turnip.Exchange and post your island in the listing. After filling out the form and entering your Dodo code you are ready to let other people come to your island.

Even if you dont set a fixed commission your visitors may still leave a bag or more of 99k bells. That will allow you to earn more bells than you already have on that day.

Make sure to use a LAN adapter with your Nintendo Switch because your connection can easily drop with many people on your island and it will disconnect all of them. You will then also have to create a new Dodo code and update your listing.

Dont Bury Too Much Money

A money tree will always grow the same amount of money: 90,000 in three bags of 30,000. The amount of money that you bury does not affectthe amount that the money tree grows on it. It is always the same. You shouldnt bury 90,000 bells or more, because if a money tree does grow, then you wont be making a profit. You should bury a smaller number than 90,000 so you can try to make a profit.

Animal Crossing New Horizons EASY Guide to Turnips

Turnips in Animal Crossing operate on a weekly cycle. Each Sunday after you’ve unlocked Nook’s Cranny, an adorable boar named Daisy Mae will visit your town and sell turnips from 5 AM to 12 PM. She sells them in bundles of 10 for a varying price each week–somewhere between 90 and 110 bells per turnip. There’s no limit to how many you can buy before she leaves so long as you have the bells, and we recommend buying regardless of her price, though buying low is obviously preferable.

All the turnips you buy will spoil the following Sunday and become worthless, so in order to make any money, you’ll need to sell the week’s turnips sometime before Saturday evening. In the meantime, you don’t have to keep turnips in your pockets while you can’t store them in your home storage, you can drop them on the floor in your home or outside. Keep in mind that any visitors can pick up the turnips you leave outside, so if you don’t have space in your house, make sure you fence in the turnips so they don’t get stolen!

Can You Plant Turnips In Animal Crossing: New Horizons

My dad always says that playing the stock market is like gambling for smart people. Its not so much a matter of raw luck as it is reading the numbers and making educated guesses. Its also a matter of ensuring the system stays fair theres a reason insider trading is a crime, yknow. With that ominous lead-up, lets answer todays question: can you plant your own turnips in Animal Crossing: New Horizons?

Every Sunday , little Daisy Mae comes to your island to sell turnips on behalf of her grandma, Joan. These turnips can be resold to the boys at Nooks Cranny, but their value fluctuates wildly from day to day. One day they could be worth a fortune, the next, theyre worth less than the dirt they came out of. Theoretically, if you could grow your own turnips, you wouldnt have to buy any from Daisy Mae, right?

How Do You Get The Best Turnip Prices In Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Selling turnips can be tricky, as what price you get will always be a gamble. As with selling stocks, your goal is to make more money selling them than you spent on purchasing them. Theres no hard and fast rule to getting the best turnip prices, but one way is shopping around, visiting friends islands and anywhere else you might have a chance at making some Bells.

Another way is to predict what price you are going to get. There are even unofficial online tools that offer turnip price predictions, but your best bet is to record the prices on the island yourself to see how they fluctuate, so you can determine the pattern. Social media is also pretty useful, since a lot of people just post asking who has the best turnip prices, and then flock to that friends island in a turnip-selling frenzy.

Its a fine art, but if you follow this process, youll get the hang of selling turnips and making Bells in no time at all.

Getting Started: Where And When To Buy Turnips

All you need to start trading turnips is cash. Bells. Any amount, really. The more you put in, the more youll get out if all goes to plan. Profit is profit, so anything you invest will typically be worth the time.

Turnips are sold once a week by Daisy Mae, an adorable little boar who youll find wandering around your island with the vegetables strapped to her head. Unlike other traveling merchants like Label, Kicks, and Leif, shes far more predictable, showing up every Sunday morning without fail. You have until noon that day to buy as many turnips as you want from her, with the price she charges being fluid each week.

Like a real-world investment, the idea is to buy low and sell high. Daisy Mae will usually charge between 90 and 110 Bells per turnip, and shell let you buy as many or as few turnips as you like before she closes up shop for the week. You can carry a stack of 100 turnips in each inventory slot, meaning its possible to buy no more than 4,000 turnips in a single run at a maximum cost of 440,000 Bells. Thats a lot of cash and a lot of veggies.

Once bought, you have until the following Sunday to sell your turnips to the Nooklings either on your island or someone elses. Any turnips left over will spoil and rot, becoming little more than garbage used to attract some bugs like ants for the museum. You can literally watch your money shrivel up, die, and be consumed by insects.

How To Sell Turnips On A Friends Island

Animal Crossing: New Horizons

If you get near the end of the week and havent found a reasonable sale price on your island, you can visit another players island to sell your turnips. The easiest way to do this is to check with your friends and see if they have better prices. For example, if Nooks Cranny offers 50 bells per turnip on your island and 500 bells on your friends, you should travel to their island and maximize your profits!

To travel to a friends island:

  • Have your friend generate a Dodo Code so you can visit their island.

  • Grab your turnips and head to Dodo Airlines at the bottom of the map.

  • Talk to Orville and select I wanna fly.

  • Select I wanna visit someone.

  • Select Via Online Play.

  • Select Search via Dodo Code and enter your friend’s 5-digit Dodo Code.

Alternatively, your friend can choose to open their gate to any online friends. If their gate is open, you wont need to enter a Dodo Code.

    Be Careful With Time Travel

Time traveling in Animal Crossing has been around for years, and the community is often divided on whether such behavior should be allowed, if it’s ethical, and more. We do not cast judgment on anyone who chooses to time travel or not, but players need to be aware that they can ruin their weekly investment by doing so. Turnips are directly affected by time travel, and doing so, much like not selling them within a week of buying, will result in complete rot. At that point, the Turnips cannot be sold, and players simply take the loss on their investment, so be careful if time travel is a normal part of your gameplay!

How to Make Bells With Turnips in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

For those who may have forgotten the basics, Daisy Mae is a New Horizons NPC who comes to your village between 5 a.m. and 12 p.m. every Sunday. She sells you bundles of 10 turnips for a price between 90-110 Bells each. If youâve made it far enough into the game to unlock cooking, then youâve likely played the Stalk Market at least once before. Just like the real stock market, the goal is to buy turnip bundles at a low price and then sell them for a higher price at Nookâs Cranny between Monday and the following Saturday at 10 p.m. on your own island or another island with a high sell price.

Those Stalk Market mechanics, though, actually have very little to do with Daisy Maeâs potential to offer up recipes.

Instead, over the course of four weeks, sheâll offer players four different recipes in their mailbox just for buying turnips. Some players suggest buying at least 100 turnips to get a recipe, but others have still received recipes after buying 20 turnips. In other words, if you want to be safe, youâll want to buy around 10 bundles of 10 turnips each to get a recipe from Daisy Mae.

Here are the four possible recipes you can get.

Animal Crossing Turnips Guide: Buy Sell And Store Turnips

How to make a profit buying and selling turnips, how to store turnips, and how long until turnips spoil.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons doesn’t a simple economy, even if you don’t have to pay interest on Tom Nook’s mortgages. Selling fruit, bugs, fish, and various random items to make a quick bell will get you by for a bit, but you’ll need to get better income sources as your house payments start to balloon and you have to make larger infrastructure improvements around town. You’ll need to make use of the game’s stock market–which it cheekily calls the “stalk market”–in order to make enough money for this. New content releases regularly, so you’ll want to stay on top of your funds.

Named for the turnips you’re buying and selling, the stalk market is a finicky thing that takes practice and commitment. But you can stand to make major profits if you keep an eye on Timmy and Tommy’s prices and know when to sell. We’ve rounded up everything you need to know about Animal Crossing’s turnip trade, from how to buy turnips to the types of stalk market patterns you should look out for and our best tips. They aren’t the only way to earn a lot of bells, but they are one of the most consistent if you do it every week. Eventually, you’ll hit the jackpot!
