How To Find Elegant Mushrooms Flat Mushrooms Round Mushrooms And Skinny Mushrooms In Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Throughout the last month of autumn in New Horizons, you’ll be able to find five different types of mushrooms growing on your island.
The first four – elegant, flat, round and skinny – can all be found growing on the ground.
All of these mushrooms will grow near cedar, fruit and hardwood trees, much like how tree branches appear on the ground near these trees.
To increase your chances of finding these mushrooms, we recommend not placing any furniture or growing any flowers around the bases of your trees. You don’t have to do this for every tree on your island, but, if you want to craft a lot of mushroom furniture, we recommend ensuring that the majority of your trees have a good amount of free space about their roots.
Each mushroom will take up one tile, with tiles being roughly the same size as a flower, so you can use that as a good marker for how much room you should leave.
After you’ve ensured that there’s enough space for the mushrooms to grow, you’ll want to conduct an island wide mushroom hunt every day.
Exactly where the mushrooms appear is randomly allocated, but you’ll be able to find a good number near your trees every day. Make sure you pick these mushrooms, because they won’t grow back during the day and you’ll have to wait a full year till mushroom season returns.
There is even a Nook Miles Plus task that will reward you with a minimum of 100 Nook Miles if you pick three mushrooms.
