How Many Animals Can You Have At Your Campsite Animal Crossing
You can only host eight animals at a time, so if all slots are full, youll need to send someone home before you can invite someone new. If an animal you invite to the Campsite was currently on one of the external camping islands, that island will be empty for the remainder of the three-hour rotation.
How To Get To Get A Ladder In Animal Crossing: New Horizons To Reach Higher Ground
When you start out, you won’t immediately be able to explore the whole island
f you’re only a few days into owning Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you might be curious about how you gain access to elevated bits of land.
From the start, you’re stifled quite heavily, but this is normal with Animal Crossing, and you’ll quickly find that patience is a virtue here.
Since Animal Crossing uses the Switch’s internal clock and date, each real-world day is the same as an in-game day.
This means it runs in realtime and the more you play, the more your island and the game opens up. Just make sure that you’re checking in with Tom Nook at the Residential Services building, because this is where the lovable raccoon will provide you with the tools to explore your island more.
To get the ladder, you first need to have unlocked the Nook’s Cranny shop and be tasked with placing new Villager houses around your island for them to move into.
Building the shop is its own task, which you’ll need 30 pieces of each type of wood material and 30 iron nuggets.
Once this is done and the shop is set up, you should next be tasked with placing three plots of land for three interested villagers.
After finding a spot for the second house, you’ll get a call from Tom Nook who will send you a recipe for a ladder directly to your Nook Phone.
After Your First Week
The big event on the horizon is the opening of the new Resident Services building. Once that opens, youll unlock the ability to build bridges and ramps throughout your island for a hefty Bell charge.
After that, there are more events and buildings still to come, so be sure to keep checking back each day to see what the island has in store for you. Remember: Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a marathon, not a sprint, so even just 20 minutes per day should be plenty to get the basics done. Of course, if you want to go over that, were certainly not stopping you.

What Is Friendship In Acnh
Friendship levels unlock new ways your villagers can interact with you. In ACNH, Friendship is based on points, which many people like to call Friendship Points. There are tasks you can do within the game to increase or decrease your friendship points with specific villagers.
Friendship Levels in Animal Crossing New Horizons
The chart above outlines how many points are needed for each friendship level. Each friendship level unlocks additional things you can do with your villager.
You and your villagers all start with 25 friendship points. If you talk to them a couple times, you should easily get to the next level.
At level 2, you will unlock the ability to receive gifts from the villager. You can also give gifts to the villager every single day. They might give you one in return which will boost your friendship even further.
Villagers at this level unlock the ability to sell items to you. You still maintain all of the previously unlocked actions like sending and receiving gifts.
At level 4 you can change your villagers catch phrase. Again, everything else unlocked up to this point also stays unlocked.
This is whats considered to be best friends in ACNH. At this point, theres a random chance the villager gives you their framed photo as a gift. You can also change the villagers greeting at this stage.

How To Get Your Island To A Three
Once youve upgraded Residential Services and built the campsite, your next goal will probably be to unlock terraforming by achieving a three-star rating. The way you do this is by following Isabelles advice when you ask her about island evaluations.
If youre having trouble raising to a three-star level, heres what my island had when I achieved a three-star ranking:
- 27 pieces of furniture outside with no duplicates
- 50 pieces of fencing
Keep Your Eye On The Sky
At night, shooting stars will occasionally flash across the sky. If you look up and catch sight of one, you can press the A button to wish upon it. Wishing on stars makes star fragments wash onto the beach the following day, which can help you craft unique items, like wands.
Pay attention to morning announcements, because Isabelle will occasionally mention nighttime meteor showers, which are the perfect time to scoop up a dozen stars or more. Shooting stars seem to move in packs, too, so if you see one in the sky, keep looking up for a few seconds — you might get another handful of free wishes. Finally, depending on when you wish on stars, you might get unique Zodiac fragments. Only time will tell if these fragments combine to create special items, but I can tell you that’s what I’m wishing for with each shooting star.
Always Hold A Net While Youre Shaking Trees
During your first day or two on the island, when youre running around shaking trees to get sticks , wasp nests will occasionally fall from the branches. Find yourself on the wrong side of a stinger without medicine and youll pass out. Once you build the bug net, though, its a good rule of thumb to always hold it while youre shaking trees. Not only can you catch vengeful wasps, but you can also snag spiders and other creepy-crawlers dislodged from their homes overhead.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons: Ladder Tool
So, you’ve already crafted your axe, shovel and vaulting pole to get yourself over rivers and explore your love new island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, yet there’s still that raised bit at the back that remains inaccessible.
You’ll need a ladder to climb up onto that higher ledge and get at the lovely flowers and cedars growing there, and you unlike some of the other tools, you’ll have to do a little bit of work before you get your hands on the ladder. As with all the other tools, you’ll first need to unlock the crafting recipe for the ladder before you can build it.
Invite At Least One New Villager To Live On Your Island
As soon as you possibly can, you’ll want to head off on your adventures using the Nook Miles Tickets. These can be purchased from the Nook Stop terminal in Residents’ Services as soon as you pay off your moving fees, for 2,000 Miles a ticket. These give you a temporary pass to fly away from your own island and explore a much smaller, and totally randomly generated alternative deserted island.
Here, you can gather crafting materials, foreign fruit and more to take back with you, but also potentially discover a little castaway who will be willing to move to your island. If you spot one, all you’ll need to do is talk to them a couple of times, and they’ll express an interest in making the move. Reply with an affirmative you can decline if you don’t like the cut of their gib, of course and they’ll make a call to Tom Nook about the arrangements.
At this stage, I’d been a bit greedy and already invited three new residents to come live on my island, so it’s unclear whether you need to invite three for the next stage to unlock, or whether one new face will suffice.

How To Get The Vaulting Pole
You will get the vaulting pole DIY recipe quite soon after moving to your new island, as Blathers gives it to you the first time you speak in order to help you catch bugs, fish and dig up fossils for his fledgeling museum.
To bring Blathers to your island, you need to talk to Tom Nook after sleeping for the first time and reaching your first full day. Take him up on his offer to learn about DIY and hell give you recipes for a net and fishing rod, asking you to bring him any new species that you catch.
After handing him new bugs or fish five times, hell get a call from Blathers saying hes coming to the island. Help Tom find a plot for Blathers new tent and museum, and the museum curating owl will be waiting for you to come visit him the very next day! Just let him blather on at you about his mission, and youll get a DIY recipe for both a vaulting pole and shovel.
The Vaulting Pole DIY recipe costs 5 Softwood and you can craft it at any workbench in the game.
Buying A Storage Shed
If you would prefer a bigger shed, rather than the little wooden one, dont want to use up so many resources, or even if you want more than one type of shed, there is another option. You can buy a Storage Shed at the Nook Stop for the same price as the DIY Recipe, 6,000 Nook Miles.
This purchase, however, unlike the recipe, arrives to you by mail. This means it will not arrive on your island until the day after you purchase it.
Animal Crossing Ladder Step 2
Nook informs you that the island needs a bridge and gives you the Bridge construction kit recipe:
- x4 log stakes
- x4 clay
- x4 stone
Once you have the necessary parts, craft the Bridge construction kit and find an appropriate spot to build it. Once selected it will be roped off until construction is complete the following day.

Take Advantage Of Special Visitors
Within the first few days of your island adventure, you’ll likely come across a unique visitor — such as Gulliver, the sea gull asleep on the beach, or Wisp, the easily frightened ghost. Each of these visitors will teach you something, sell you something or send you on a short mission. These missions will earn you unique item rewards.
My personal favorite visitor so far is C.J., a beaver-blogger who loves to fish. He’ll ask you to catch special fish for him, order fish decorations for you , and pay you extra for any fish you sell him. In a single day with C.J., I ordered a handful of fish decorations to hang on my walls and made nearly 60,000 bells just angling as usual. It was a good day.

NeuteredUser1 year ago#1What does everyone use the higher levels of the island for in the early game? I’d already planned out a foreign fruit orchard, a flower breeding section and a general residential district for the three ground levels of my island. Now I have the ladder, I don’t know how to use the cliffs.
