How To Get Scorpio Fragments In Animal Crossing: New Horizons

HOW TO GET Star Fragments in Animal Crossing New Horizons

Scorpio Fragments, like the other Zodiac Fragments, can only be found the day after a meteor shower. To get them, players will need to go out on the night of a meteor shower and wish on stars. If possible, they can have guests join them, as visitor wishes also count toward the number of possible Fragments a player can find washed up on the beach the next day.

Meteor showers happen fairly randomly on a player’s island, though some fans have tried to work out a system of predicting when they are most likely to occur. Sometimes, Isabelle will make an announcement during her morning announcements, especially if there is supposed to be a larger meteor shower that lasts most of the night.

Players can also tell when there will be a meteor shower by looking around their island for Celeste the owl. If she has arrived, there is a good chance a meteor shower will take place that night.

Most meteor showers only last for about an hour, if that long, and will only have a handful of shooting stars. Players will only be able to see and wish on the shooting stars after 7 p.m. on clear nights.

If there are shooting stars, players will be alerted by a twinkling sound. To look up at the sky and see the shooting stars to make wishes, they will need to put away any items they are carrying and use the right joystick to tilt upward. When a shooting star appears, the player needs to press the A button. If the player is successful, they’ll hear a louder flourish sound.

What To Do During Meteor Showers

Theres a lot of rare and valuable items in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, but few are as hard to come by as star fragments. These remnants of shooting stars are found after meteor showers, often somewhat randomly by players. The mysterious item brings a lot of questions to mind, so lets explore them together. Heres what to do with star fragments and how to get them in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Do Shooting Stars Happen Every Night

How often can you see a shooting star? There is a lot of debris floating around in space, which means that dozens of meteors reach our atmosphere every hour. Meteors span across the atmosphere in the day time as well, but we can actually spot them only at night, so they are more common than you might think.

Make Wish For Animal Crossing New Horizons Star Fragments

Once you have your meteor shower, you can start wishing on stars by looking at the sky and pressing A. You will hear a faint twinkling sound when a shooting star falls in the sky. Each wish drops one star fragment on your beaches the next day, this rate is the same if you wish on your island or on a friends islan.

There Are Three Types of Star Fragments That Can Fall:

  • Regular star fragments which are typical yellow fragments

  • Zodiac fragments which correspond to the current month your island is in and are needed to craft the Zodiac DIYs

  • Large star fragments which are the key to many of the Celeste DIYs

Each fragment has a different drop rate depending on if its your birthday month or not. So if you are trying to get a certain type of fragment, pay attention to what month your game is currently in and refer to the guide that is on the below:

Fragment Drop Rate

  • Star Fragment Drop Rate: 85% on regular month, 65% on birthday month

  • Zodiac Fragment Drop Rate: 10% on regular month, 25% on birthday month

  • Large Fragment Drop Rate: 5% on regular month, 10% on birthday month

It is also important to note that specific Zodiac Fragments will only spawn when it is currently that Zodiac period, for example Capricorn lasts from December 21st to January 21st thus Capricorn Fragments will only fall between these two dates, this can then be applied to the remaining 11 types of Zodiac Fragments.

If you’re not seeing stars fall or if you haven’t gotten a meteor shower, you might want to consider finding someone online hosting a meteor shower event. Online communities on Discord, Reddit, and other places have groups just for this. You can also use tools like the turnip exchange to find people with open islands who have Celeste.

If you don’t want to go online, you can still do some things to try to and find those coveted falling stars.

  • When the night sky is clear on your island, play with headphones on and keep the volume loud. This will help you better hear the twinkling of a star falling. It sounds similar to soft wind chimes.
  • Stay outdoors around your island at night. Avoid standing near waterfalls and anything that plays music or makes loud noise. You don’t have to solely focus on the sky, but you should keep some focus on listening.

Getting Star Fragment Trees

The bad news is that these trees cannot be obtained in any legitimate way in the game. That means that Star Fragment Trees can only be obtained through hacking the game.

As such, these are incredibly unstable items and have a chance of corrupting your save and breaking your game.

If you do get offered a Star Fragment Tree on an online forum, wed recommend against accepting it. While the seller may not have any malicious intent, the unstable nature of this item doesnt make it worth the risk.

Are Star Fragment Trees Real

How to get Star Fragments for the Star Wand in Animal ...

Technically, star fragment trees aren’t a natural part of the game, and you can’t grow them yourself. They’re inspired by money trees, which you can create by burying a bag of bells in the ground and waiting for it to grow and deliver you three times the amount you buried.

The star fragment trees are the same idea, producing three of one kind of star fragments. And just like the money trees, once you shake them, they don’t regrow the star fragments.

Star fragment trees aren’t only a way to get new star fragments fast, but they’re also a ridiculously beautiful addition to any island landscape. Most who have gone on to purchase these trees usually just use them for decoration, often in secret stargazing nooks.

Star fragments aren’t the only items hackers have modded onto trees there are also fossil trees, lost item trees, and flower trees. Obviously, you can’t grow any of these yourself , but there are ways to obtain all of these trees to add to your island.

Shooting Stars In Animal Crossing: New Horizons Can My Friends Come Too

Absolutely! Life is better with friends, and Animal Crossing: New Horizons is no different. If you have friends who play Animal Crossing too, open up your island and invite them over for the meteor shower! Throughout the evening, I was able to invite over five different friends to my first meteor shower, and each of them found Star Fragments on their beaches the next day. Just keep in mind that you have to leave your island open the entire time your friends are visiting. Each friend coming and going will tie up your game for a little bit during which you could be missing out on shooting stars. You might want to coordinate with your friends to arrive before the shower starts, to wait to leave until everyone is finished, and use DodoCodes, so other friends arent just randomly popping in and out.
