Per meteor shower you can get a maximum of 20 fragments from your own wishes, thus you do not need to wish more than 20 times in order to get the maximum number of fragments the next day, this applies if you wish on your island or on another island. But don’t worry we can increase this from 20 fragments to 40 fragments with the below tricks:

1. The key to increasing the maximum star fragment cap is by having visitors on your island for the meteor shower. For every 5 wishes from a visitor, one additional star fragment will appear on your beach the next day. The visitor wishes can all come from the same visitor or spread among multiple visitors. You can use this method to spawn up to 20 additional star fragments.

2. Raising the maximum number of star fragments, you can spawn to 40. This means in order to get the maximum number of star fragments per meteor shower, you need to wish 20 times on shooting stars and then have a visitor wish 100 times on your island for a total of 120 wishes.

3. If you want to raise this cap even more, you can log onto your island with an additional resident, since each resident has their own 40 star fragment cap. Luckily all the wishes from your visitor apply to every island resident, so you only need one visitor to make 100 wishes to raise the star fragment cap to 40 for every resident. With eight users available to play on one island, the new maximum number of star fragments you can achieve from one meteor shower is 320.

Getting Star Fragments is pretty simple. All you need to do is wish on a star. To do that, just tilt the right stick up, wait for a star to come loose from the firmament, and press A as it races across the sky.
When youll actually get a meteor shower isnt completely certain. It only happens on clear nights, but it doesnt seem to happen every clear night. Sometimes, your island neighbors give you a clue by mentioning how the weather is perfect for shooting stars.
Also, if Celeste is in your town, its a guarantee a meteor shower is going on .
Either way, its much easier to tell if youve got the volume up, as youll hear a little twinkling sound each time a star comes on the scene.
Equally important, you arent limited with how many stars you can wish on. You can only wish once on each star, but if youre looking to really rack up the number of Star Fragments you get, wish on every one you see.
The day after you wish on stars , head out and walk up and down the beaches. Youll find Star Fragments proportional to the number of stars you wished on. What kind they are, however, is another story.

Online communities on Discord, Reddit, and other places have groups just for this. You can also use tools like the turnip exchange to find people with open islands who have Celeste.
If you don’t want to go online, you can still do some things to try to and find those coveted falling stars.
- When the night sky is clear on your island, play with headphones on and keep the volume loud. This will help you better hear the twinkling of a star falling. It sounds similar to soft wind chimes.
- Stay outdoors around your island at night. Avoid standing near waterfalls and anything that plays music or makes loud noise. You don’t have to solely focus on the sky, but you should keep some focus on listening.
How To Get Scorpio Fragments In Animal Crossing
Each month, when Animal Crossing players wish on stars during a meteor shower, they have a chance to collect Zodiac Fragments for DIY recipes.
Because players are encouraged to craft and customize everything in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, there are a variety of crafting materials found around an island. How To Find Star Fragments
After a fun night of stargazing, you’ll probably go straight to bed. Upon morning in-game, you may find some pleasant surprises on the beach of your island. Star Fragments will be scattered randomly on the sand, depending on how many wishes you made the night prior.
These are yellow, round crystals that you can pick up. At least 20 can appear on your beaches if you made more than 20 wishes during the meteor shower. However, more star fragments may appear if you had guests on your island the night before who wished upon the shooting stars.
In addition to star fragments, you can also find rare and blue Large Star Fragments. There is also a small chance of finding Zodiac Star Fragments, with 12 possibly appearing on the beach depending on which zodiac season it is â they are all different colors.

Absolutely! Life is better with friends, and Animal Crossing: New Horizons is no different. If you have friends who play Animal Crossing too, open up your island and invite them over for the meteor shower! Throughout the evening, I was able to invite over five different friends to my first meteor shower, and each of them found Star Fragments on their beaches the next day. Just keep in mind that you have to leave your island open the entire time your friends are visiting. Each friend coming and going will tie up your game for a little bit during which you could be missing out on shooting stars. You might want to coordinate with your friends to arrive before the shower starts, to wait to leave until everyone is finished, and use DodoCodes, so other friends aren’t just randomly popping in and out.

Make Wish For Animal Crossing New Horizons Star Fragments
Once you have your meteor shower, you can start wishing on stars by looking at the sky and pressing A. You will hear a faint twinkling sound when a shooting star falls in the sky. Each wish drops one star fragment on your beaches the next day, this rate is the same if you wish on your island or on a friend’s islan.
There Are Three Types of Star Fragments That Can Fall:

Regular star fragments which are typical yellow fragments

Zodiac fragments which correspond to the current month your island is in and are needed to craft the Zodiac DIYs

Large star fragments which are the key to many of the Celeste DIYs
Each fragment has a different drop rate depending on if it’s your birthday month or not. So if you are trying to get a certain type of fragment, pay attention to what month your game is currently in and refer to the guide that is on the below:

It is also important to note that specific Zodiac Fragments will only spawn when it is currently that Zodiac period, for example Capricorn lasts from December 21st to January 21st thus Capricorn Fragments will only fall between these two dates, this can then be applied to the remaining 11 types of Zodiac Fragments.
Wands In Animal Crossing New Horizons
Wands are a special tool in New Horizons that allow you to store up to eight pre-set outfits and change them when you want.
Celeste will give you that recipe for the Star Wand, but you can get other wand DIY recipes elsewhere. Every wand requires the Star fragments so remember to keep them.
The Meteor Shower should ensure you have plenty of Star Fragments to make your wand.

Combe The Beach The Next Day For Star Fragments
Wishing on a star is cute and all, but what’s the point. Well, for that you’ll have to wait until the next day. The morning after you wish on a star or three, you’ll need to take a walk along the beach looking for large yellow rocks where the water meets the sand. These are star fragments, and you’ll get one per wish by the looks of things. It’s still not clear how to get large star fragments though, but it seems they are also linked to wishing on a star.
Hopefully though, you have better luck than I do and can make your star wand straight away.
However, there are other wand recipes available in-game. I discovered a bamboo wand hidden in a balloon present much earlier in the game, so hopefully you do too, as it only needs three star fragments to make.
Pick Up Star Fragments The Next Morning
The morning after the meteor shower, head out to the coast. Scattered along the beach you should see star fragments typically, there is one for each wish you made the previous night. They can be located anywhere along the coastline, and thats the only place theyll be found youll never find a star fragment anywhere but in the sand. These celestial objects come in a few varieties:
- Star fragments: The most common type of fragment.
- Large star fragments: Less common, but required in order to craft many valuable items.
- Zodiac star fragments: Very rare, only found at certain times of the year.
Star fragments and large star fragments can appear any time of year, while Zodiac star fragments are tied to different seasons. For example, between April 20 and May 20, Taurus star fragments may appear, while Gemini star fragments will appear between May 21 and June 20. Zodiac star fragments are among the rarest objects available, but stumbling upon one gives you the option to craft some of the coolest furniture in the game.

Getting All Zodiac Star Fragments In Animal Crossing New Horizons
First off, Star Fragments and Large Star Fragments are materials that you can obtain to craft DIY Recipes obtained from Celeste. How this works is that whenever theres a meteor shower on your island, you can wish on a shooting star multiple times, and youll be able to dig up Fragments on your beach the next morning.
Collect Your Star Fragments
Now that you’ve wished on so many shooting stars that your thumb is sore from pressing A, it’s time to collect your reward. The day after the meteor shower, star fragments will start to wash up on your beaches. There will be a maximum of 10 star fragments at a time, but more star fragments will wash up on your shores throughout the day, so be sure to check your beaches periodically to collect all of those star fragments you worked so hard for.
Important Note: If you like to time travel, be sure not to time travel past the next day, or else you will lose all of your star fragments. If you time travel to two or more days after the meteor shower happens, the star fragments will not wash up on your beaches and you will not be able to collect them.
