How To Get Bamboo
In order get bamboo, the player will first need to have a Nook Miles ticket or the ability to buy one for 2,000 Nook Miles. When redeemed, Nook Miles tickets take players to randomly generated islands that they can find new resources at. Trees and fruit are among the resources that players can find at these islands, and this is including bamboo. In fact, bamboo is only able to be obtained through these islands, so players will need Nook Miles tickets if they would like to bring some home.
When players find an island with bamboo on it, they might spot several places where they can dig with their shovel. If the player digs at one of these spots, they’ll find bamboo shoots. This is where the bamboo plant grows from, so one will be necessary in order to grow bamboo on the home island. Similarly to growing a money tree, the player only needs to choose a spot for their bamboo, dig a hole, and plant the bamboo shoot from their inventory. After a few days, the bamboo plant should be grown.
There are also other methods of getting bamboo. Instead of planting a bamboo shoot the player could choose to dig up an entire bamboo plant after eating fruit and move it to their home island. The player could also take bamboo from a friend’s island through local or online multiplayer and plant it. Whatever the choice, be careful not to destroy the bamboo once it’s been plantedit will be tedious to get again.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now, exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
How To Get Bamboo Pieces In Animal Crossing New Horizons
Bamboo in New Horizons functions similarly to the various kinds of wood, obtained by hitting bamboo stalks with an axe and picking up the pieces that fall. You can also plant your own bamboo stalks by obtaining Bamboo Shoots, small brown pods that you can plant in holes youve dug. Three days later youll get bamboo stalks in that spot, assuming you dont dig them back up and they have space to grow.

Where To Find Bamboo
These islands in Animal Crossing contain various resources. They range from plants to trees bamboos being one of them. However, you should note that not all random islands contain bamboos. If you land on an island without them, you will have to continuously keep on redeeming your Nook Miles ticket until you find one.

When you land on an island with bamboo, look for cracks around the base of the bamboo trees available. You will have to use your shovel to dig when you spot a crack. This will enable you to collect bamboo shoots. They will be later used on your island to grow bamboos by planting them.
Plant Bamboo Shoots And Grow Bamboo
Like fruit, burying bamboo shoots in the ground will yield a bamboo tree in four days. Youll need bamboo pieces for DIY, so keeping a few of these trees around is a good idea. However, once you have picked up the bamboo shoots, you cannot get them again, so the number of shoots you get through this method is limited.
Bamboo Shoots can only be picked up once
Once youve collected the bamboo shoots from around a bamboo, they dont come back. Growing bamboo is mostly good for getting bamboo pieces.

How To Find Bamboo Stem And Spring Bamboo Stem In Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Unless you have a friend willing to share their bamboo materials in New Horizons, the only way to get them is to go to a mysterious island.
To do this you will have to buy a Nook Miles Ticket from the Nook Terminal at the Management Office for 2,000 Nook Miles.
Use the ticket at the Aerodrome and you will travel to a randomly selected island.
Hopefully you will reach an island with bamboo.
The downside is that, like Tarantula Island, there is no guarantee that the island you visit has bamboo. You will have to keep spending Nook Miles on trips until you land on an island with bamboo.
Make sure to leave a good space in the inventory in case it touches you, you dont want to run out of space if you arrive at an island with bamboo.

Other Ways To Get Bamboo
While traveling to mystery islands is the standard way to collect bamboo, you can also get it using three other methods:
- If you buy 100 turnips from Daisy Mae when she visits your island on Sunday mornings, you may receive some bamboo shoots from her in the mail the next day.
- Your neighbors reward you for doing favors for them by giving you clothes, crafting materials, and furniture. Sometimes, they will give you bamboo pieces or shoots.
- Once one of your friends who is also playing New Horizons gets bamboo, they can either bring it to you during an island visit or mail it to you at the airport.

What Do You Do With Young Spring Bamboo In Animal Crossing
Crafting is the ultimate goal here and you will be able to craft some great items with some young spring bamboo in your arsenal. There are several new types of furniture that can be made, and you can also craft yourself a bamboo wand!
And a good tip for getting more to craft more items is to have your own bamboo tree farm. And there is a way to make this process a lot quicker too, by heading to a random island and digging up trees to plant back at your own virtual home. Just make sure you eat fruit to be able to have the energy to do so.
Can You Plant Picked Flowers Animal Crossing
Flowers are plants that appear in the Animal Crossing series. They will randomly generate throughout the town once a new save file is created. They can be planted either by players or villagers, although some special flowers only occur when specific criteria are satisfied. Flowers will grow throughout the year.

What To Do With Bamboo And Where To Plant It
Like many things in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, bamboo doesnt have one single use. Its not like wood or iron nuggets where it is required quite often, but it is similar in that you dont actively use the item itself. Instead it is simply another piece of crafting material that will be vital for future furniture crafting, once you get the DIY recipe. But building a single piece of furniture might not seem worth all the effort of finding this rare item, which is only found from using a Nook Miles ticket to visit a mysterious island.
Once you or one of your friends finds one you can dig near the tree to get a bamboo shoot you can plant back at home. They grow the same as trees, so plant them in the grass with space around them to grow. New bamboo shoots will spawn next to the fully grown bamboo stalk after the usual three days and you can dig them up. After you have a few the real thing to do with bamboo is sell it, with prices changing as the game grows, but they will often yield far more than normal fruit, so be sure to harvest and sell them often.
Hopefully this explains what to do with bamboo and where to plant it in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Its one of the rarer and lesser used items in the game. However, once you have a good farm of them growing they are a great soure of Bells.

How To Get Bamboo Trees
There is one type of special tree. The bamboo plant can be found on mystery islands and can be harvested like other trees. You can transplant them and place them on your island, or you can harvest their fruit and replant those. Unlike other fruit bearing trees in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, bamboo plants produce their fruit underground. You can dig them up by looking for the telltale X that marks the spot in the area underneath the plant. When hit with an axe, bamboo plants create two resources: bamboo pieces and young spring bamboo. These resources can be used to craft items.

Another Crafting Material And Tree
Starting out in Animal Crossing: New Horizons you only have one fruit or type of tree to worry about. This is your native fruit tree, but there are many more out there to discover and cultivate. One of the rarest and most confusing is bamboo. This can only be found in select places, and is a bit random in where it spawns. Once you discover it youll want to know what its all about, and how to make some of your own though. Heres what to do with bamboo and where to plant it in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
How To Move Bamboo Trees To My Island In Animal Crossing: New Horizons
But beyond getting large quantities of bamboo, one of the best measures you can take is to take the trees in your inventory to be able to move them and plant them on your island . With this, you will ensure that every day you have new bamboo reserves and thus not have to surrender to the luck of randomness. To do this, you will have to extract the entire tree with a shovel so that it is added to your inventory. However, you must bear in mind that you can only achieve this result if your character has consumed any type of fruit to gain the necessary energy. On this island there are not as many options as on others in this sense, so you should take advantage of the four coconut trees on the beach. With this, you will get eight coconuts to eat and they will allow you to take eight bamboo trees. In addition, on the ground of the island you will also see excavation marks that contain bamboo shoots If you eat them, they will also have the same effect, so you can add more trees to your inventory and then plant them on your island.

Can I Get Young Spring Bamboo Out Of Season
The official dates for picking up young spring bamboo are February 25th to May 31st in the Northern Hemisphere or August 25th to November 30th in the Southern Hemisphere. But that does not mean you cannot get any outside of these dates as there are workarounds.
If you have a friend in a different hemisphere, you can jet off to their island and get some that way, or you can look into trading with other players who have hoarded a lot of it and may need something that you have acquired. You can also trade with a player who has stockpiled bamboo in their home storage.
Alternatively, good old time travel is another way forward so just head to the above dates depending on where you are. If youre heading to the Northern Hemisphere try March, April or May, for Southern Hemisphere try September, October or November.

How To Get Bamboo & Get To Bamboo Island

Now, youll need to get lucky! When you take a flight to a mystery island, it is a random destination that you will end up at. You will sometimes end up at an island that spawns tarantulas or butterflies. Some islands have rocks that only drop money, and you might even find a trash island that will allow you to fish up garbage from the water! Were looking for an island that spawns bamboo. This could take you multiple flights, but hopefully youll get lucky!
Once youve reached the location, youll notice quite a few X marks on the ground near the bamboo. These are normally how you dig up fossils, but on this island they will give you a bamboo shoot. This is one of the ways you can grow bamboo on your island. You can also eat a piece of fruit and dig up the whole bamboo plant itself!
Another way to get bamboo is by purchasing turnips from Daisy Mae. She arrives at your island every Sunday, so purchase a couple and she will eventually send you mail with some picked bamboo shoots!

What Is Young Spring Bamboo In Animal Crossing
Young Spring Bamboo is a seasonal item in Animal Crossing that can only be collected and used during the spring season. This is why it is available for players in the Northern Hemisphere between March and May, and in the Southern Hemisphere between September and November.
DIY recipes that require this raw material will naturally only appear during the spring season in their respective hemispheres. The recipes appear via balloons or Bottled Messages on the beach.
Acquiring young spring bamboo is not a very difficult job. All the player has to do is hit a bamboo thicket with a stone ax. Doing so will immediately yield the player young spring bamboo and regular bamboo. It is worth noting that while the young spring bamboo is a seasonal item, this method will yield players regular bamboo all year round.
There are quite a few things that players can craft using young spring bamboo. Here are a few of them.

Plant Fruit Next To The Tree
Once the tree has reached the size you want, plant a fruit next to it to stop it from growing into a Fully-Grown Tree.
We recommend planting the fruit behind the tree to hide it from view!
Use a Shovel to Move the Tree
Note that moving a tree to an open space causes it to grow, so be sure to plant a fruit next to it before the day ends!
