How To Make Log Stakes In Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Get your hands dirty.
Screengrab via Nintendo
In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the first time you will need Log Stakes is more than likely when you need to build a bridge. It can be pretty easy to get through the game until that point without really needing to explore what you can build, but its time to get to grips with the idea that you will need some items to build other items.
Log Stakes are an important component of bridges, but thankfully, making them is quite easy. If you go to a workbench, or open up your Nook Phone and look at the recipes, you should be able to find Log Stakes under the Housewares tab.
You will need three wood to make the stakes. You can get wood by chopping at trees with a flimsy axe. Be careful not to use the iron axe, as this will cut the tree down completely. Just bring the wood to your workbench, then you can make the log stakes.
Once they are all made, you can then build your bridge to cross those pesky rivers.

How To Get More Stones In Animal Crossing New Horizons
They are not too HARD to find.
Animal Crossing New Horizons has many unique DIY recipes that create really cool items. Though many of these recipes require stones, and you may be wondering how to get your hands on them.
On your island, you may have caught a single stone while fishing, or found a few stones in a floating ballon present. Perhaps a villager has gifted you a few stones to go towards one of the island improvement projects.
Though where stones seem to be found most often, is near boulders that can be found scattered around your island. However, if you hit the boulder with an axe or a shovel, stones also pop out. There is also a chance that other materials such as clay, iron, gold, or bells may pop out of the boulder when it is struck. You can hit the same boulder until it stops giving you materials. Then you can go and do the same with every other boulder on your island, every day.
You can also find these boulders on mystery tours to other islands. These islands will always have three boulders available to strike. One advantage to doing this is that every new mystery island you visit will have three different boulders for you to hit. This will maximize your stone earning potential, as on your own island the boulders can only pop out materials once per day.
How To Get Log Stakes In Animal Crossing New Horizons
At some point in the game, you will have to build your first bridge to connect parts of your island home together. Its a wonderful moment, really!
It will be the first time to really bring the whole of your friendly little island community together and let your villagers explore the entire island.
Nook, your island manager, will ask you to craft a bridge construction kit for that purpose. He gives you a DIY recipe and tells you to come back once you have it.
But while many of the items required to craft your bridge construction kit are straightforward , there may be one ingredient youre unsure of how to get: log stakes.

The Chuck Beef Suprimals Cuts Of Beef Explained
Going slightly deeper on the level of the chuck section, we discover the so well-known steak subprimals such as:
- Chuck eye steak,Chuck steak ,
- Chuck tenders, Petite tender
Although there is a tendency among people to use these two names interchangeably, its better to think of the chuck eye steak as the best economical ribeye and treat it as such while chuck roasts are taken from the biggest chunk of meat around the cows neck and shoulder .
So the chuck roasts could be wonderful family dinners when braised or slow-cooked because in this way the cut has time to tenderize by gradually breaking down its fibers and borrowing as well more flavors from other veggies and cooking liquid. Braising can be done in the oven or a crockpot but also on the stove.
Chuck Tenders beef cut
not that tender but rather looking similar to a tenderloin
The chuck tender, which comes from the shoulder part , is similar in shape to tenderloin, which is why it is often called the Mock tender. Unlike the most tender beef cut , it is a very tough cut because it originates from a heavily exercised muscle, which is used for walking around and supporting a weight of a more than 1000 pounds animal.
Chuck tender vs Petite tender
one smaller than the other one in essence
The petite tender also called the shoulder tender, is another economical and flavorful cut from the chuck, similar but smaller than a tenderloin.

Bridge Construction Kit: Animal Crossing New Horizons
The first bridge recipe will be given to you by Tom Nook after Nooks Cranny has been built. Tom will let you know a total of three new villagers will be moving to your island and ask you to craft a Log Bridge. This recipe is the Bridge Construction Kit and it will require:
- 4 x Clay
- 4 x Stone
Youll find clay by hitting stones with a hammer or an axe. You can find plenty of clay on your island, and clay also has a high probability of dropping from stones you hit on the Mystery Island tours. If youre in a pinch and need a handful of clay quickly, that may be your best bet. Clay can also drop from balloons but that isnt the most efficient way of collecting it when youre in a crunch.
The log stakes are an item youll need to craft, which take three pieces of wood. Take your axe and hit some trees, and then return to your DIY Workbench and select the Log Stakes recipe under the Housewares tab to make them.
And finally, the stones you can get from hammering rocks or hitting them with your axe. A few whaps should do it and youll be all set for ingredients.
That will complete the bridge construction kit and youll be able to place this bridge where you like along the rivers.

Breading Vs Batter Vs Flour
The chicken of the woods here are breaded by dipping into flour-egg-flour here. It might not seem that important, but part of what makes this so addictive is the crust, as well as your mushroom being in a good stage for eating in a thick slice. Using flour, egg and breadcrumbs can make things overly heavy, soggy, and oily. Sometimes its nice, and I want that rock hard breadcrumb crust, sometimes I dont, and here, I dont. By the same token using batter requires more oil, and can get messy with drips. The big takeaway here, is that the flour-egg-flour breading is a good trick to know, and it will work with more mushrooms than just good old sulphur shelves. Heres a few examples
- Whole mushroom caps, as with meadow mushrooms or shaggy parasols
- Chunks of hen of the woods
- Ischnoderma resinosum chunks
- Thick slices of puffballs pressed down with your hand to compress them
- Slices of Hericium errinaceous and Americanum
