Here’s The Fastest Way To Make Bells Early On
You won’t have all that many opportunities to make Bells early on in Animal Crossing New Horizons. Consider the method below when you’re just starting out.
Go On Island Tours: Which Nook Islands To Look Out For
Nook Miles can buy you everything from furniture to bell vouchers, but trust us: Save your Miles for buying plenty of Nook Miles Tickets. Each Nook Miles Ticket island tour dumps you on a preset island chosen at random, but odds are decent that youll find rare resources like bamboo and non-native fruit, rainy weather for coelacanth hunting, extra fossils, and/or more wood and ore from trees and rocks.
Once you visit enough islands, youll start to get a thrill once you spot particular layouts, such as the massive circular moat with rocks at its center that signals Money Rock Island. As the name implies, each of the six rocks is guaranteed to contain bells, meaning if you follow our rock-tapping guide youll get a whopping 90,000 bells not a bad payout for just 2,000 miles.
Or, take a midnight flight and you may find scorpion island or tarantula island, depending on your season and hemisphere. On these auspicious nights, youll find the island only spawns these creepy 8,000-bell bugs, and if one attacks you youll wake up next to the pilot, so you can keep pursuing them until your inventorys full.
Dive For Treasure: Pearls And Sea Creatures
Ever since the first Animal Crossing, weve been stuck on shore, running back and forth, hoping a fishs shadow would show up. Now, thanks to the summer swimming update, you can leave the shore behind and go diving after sea creatures. How the tables have turned, little fishies.
These creatures vary in sale value in Nooks Cranny, but even the least valuable creature is worth slightly more than a sea bass, which gives you good odds of making a solid profit compared to fishing. The only negative is that you cant sell them to C.J. for more bells, as well discuss below. Still, it adds some satisfying variety from the status quo of non-stop fishing, which will make it less like work as you build your fortune.
Best of all, occasionally bubbles in the water will draw you to a valuable pearl instead of a creature. These net you 10,000 bells each if sold, or can be used to make the mermaid DIY set before being sold for slightly more money.

Turnip Trading Using The Stalk Market In Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Buying and selling turnips from the Stalk Market is another great and efficient method to make a fortune in New Horizons.
Daisy Mae will visit your island each Sunday till noon to sell turnips at a flat rate. After you buy turnips from her, you will have a week to sell them at Nooks Cranny before they rot. However, the prices fluctuate daily, sometimes for the better and sometimes for the worse.
The turnip prices vary across players islands in all regions. Therefore, a good idea is to communicate with your friends and check if they are being offered a higher selling price for the turnips. If so, you can drop by their island to unload your turnip stack for some major cash.

Last but not least, if youre short on Bells, but have an abundance of Nook Miles, you can convert one into the other. Simply pick up a Bell voucher from the Nook Stop at the upgraded Resident Services building for 500 Miles. Then, sell it at Nooks Cranny in exchange for 3,000 Bells.
Obviously, this is not an efficient way to utilize Nook Miles, but its certainly one of the quicker methods to earn Bells.

Prioritize Getting A Shovel And Get Digging
Luckily, you’ll be able to craft a shovel relatively quickly and painlessly in NH. It’s simply a matter of waiting for a day and getting Blathers to set up shop on your island, which is triggered after you’ve assembled a Flimsy Fishing Rod and a Flimsy Net. You’ll then simply need to nab five bugs or fish and bring them to Tom Nook.
Once you’ve gotten this valuable tool, you can go to work on digging up coveted goods and planting things that can pay off after playing the waiting game. You’ll want to be on the lookout for things like fossils to sell to Timmy in the Resident Services building, and you can also use it to mine precious materials from stone.
Catch And Sell Rare Bugs
Not only rare fish, but you can also even catch rare bugs and then sell them for a good value. Tarantulas and scorpions will get you a whopping 8,000 Bells. If you have some patience you can definitely catch them. When you spot a tarantula and go towards it, it will stand up on its hind legs. Stop right away and wait for it to back down. Now, go slowly and drop your bug net on it when it is not standing.

Give Gifts To Villagers
Generosity goes a long way. Once a villager is on your island for at least a week with frequent communication, you can begin giving them daily gifts and helping them with tasks as needed. More often than not, they’ll give you something in return, sometimes in the form of bells. Otherwise you can collect and sell the items that they give you.
Of course, they won’t give you a huge amount of bells, but all those little amounts will add up.
Convert Nook Miles Into Bells
This wasnt a feature I touched much, but if you have Nook Miles to spare, you can always convert them into bells at the Resident Services kiosk in the town center. The kiosk will print out a voucher, which you can bring to Nooks Cranny in exchange for 3,000 bells. Now, if only you could convert bells into Nook Miles, too.

Tips For Hitting The Money Rock
- Be sure your character hasn’t eaten any fruit . If they’ve eaten fruit, they’ll be strong enough to break the rock right away, which you don’t want for now.
- It’s helpful to build a fence or dig a hole near the rock. Your character is pushed backwards after hitting the rock once, and you need to hit it quickly many times for it to drop all the potential items. Stand between the fence and the rock/hole so this doesn’t happen.
- Hit the rock over and over with your shovel until nothing more falls out. If you do it right, you’ll be quickly picking up thousands of Bells!
- After all the items have been dropped, feel free to eat a fruit and break it to find one more item.

Animal Crossing New Horizons: How To Craft The Money Flooring
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is loaded with creative DIY ways to decorate your house and nothing is more lavish-looking than the Money Flooring.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is filled with hundreds of custom DIY furniture, outfits, wallpaper, and flooring options to truly customize a player’s world. One of these custom flooring options is a giant pile of cash. Money Flooring is the best way to truly show off a player’s wealth and also goes great for a spare room to store turnips in. Crafting the flooring isn’t very difficult at all but will require that a player has a few Bells to throw around.
The Money Flooring in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is, so far, only available as a DIY recipe that a player will need to find and then craft themselves. Unlike most other flooring options, which can usually be purchased from Nook’s Cranny or a special visit from the rug vendor Saharah. Since it is not easily available, the recipe will require a little luck in finding it.

Catch Bugs During Evening Hours
You can randomly find rare bugs and fish while you play, but I found catching bugs in the evening to be an efficient money maker.
Playing at night in past Animal Crossing games comes with significant restrictions. Shops are closed unless you have a town ordinance in place to keep them available into the late hours, and there are generally fewer things to do with your time. Shops close in New Horizons too, but there are still plenty of other activities to do.
If you want to make the most of your time, catching bugs in the evening hours can be immensely profitable. At least during the current season in the northern hemisphere , you can catch a number of expensive critters. Tarantulas in particular arent all that rare they roam your town and its outskirts at night fairly regularly, and they can be sold for 8,000 bells each. Pro tip: Tarantulas may seem difficult to catch at first, but if you spot one in the distance, you can approach it slowly by holding down A with your net in hand. From there, the tarantula will lift its front legs to charge. Thats the sign to stop. Then just move closer, inch by inch. When its legs go down and youre finally close enough, trap it with your net.
As for other insects, emperor butterflies can be found during early mornings and all through the night, particularly near cliffs and flowers. Man-faced stink bugs are also worthwhile, which go for 1,000, but theyre so common that you can find a number at a time.
Exchange A Bell Voucher For 3000 Bells
At a certain point in the game youll be able to redeem Bell Vouchers from the Nook Stop inside Resident Services by using Nook Miles. Bell Vouchers cost 500 Nook Miles and can be exchanged at Nooks Cranny for 3,000 Bells.
Theres no limit to the amount of Bell Vouchers you can purchase in one day and youll receive the ticket immediately. This is a great option for later in the game when you need a quick lump sum of cash.

Hit The Money Rocks For Bells
Every day you will get a new rock on your island that will give make you earn money in Animal Crossing new horizons, every time you hit it, instead of mineral. Although, remember that it has a limited time after the first hit. So if you hit the rock at least 8 hits before the time runs out, then you can earn over 16,000 Bells. To get a maximum reward, all you need to do is dig three holes or place three objects in a row parallel to the rock behind your character. This will help your character to remain in place as you attack the rock. You can even use this trick for mineral rocks. If you maximize the number of hits it will increase the chances of getting a gold nugget. You can then sell it at a high price later.
Travel And Explore Other Islands
There’s another key way in which Nook Miles can be useful, and can directly help you obtain more Bells quicker and more efficiently.
After you earn 2,000 Miles, you can purchase a Nook Miles Ticket, which will allow you to explore and forage a Mystery Island. This is a practice you’ll want to take on often, as the island is home to unique and rare varieties of critters and resources, as well as unique fruit. Be sure to clear out some space in your inventory, equipping yourself with the necessary tools – and happy hunting!

How To Plant A Money Tree
Have you come across the glowing spot in the ground in Animal Crossing: New Horizons? You should find one daily, and when you do, it’s your chance to grow a money tree! If you haven’t seen this special spot, keep reading to learn what you should be on the lookout for to triple your investment in this special tree. Money trees only yield their special golden “fruit” once.
The first step to making a money tree is finding this glowing gold spot on your island:
The spot will be around all day, so if you don’t have at least 10,000 Bells saved in your pocket go ahead and try to get that much before proceeding. This will benefit you in the long run. You can still grow a money tree without that many Bells, but your tree will be worth significantly less.
Once you’ve got your Bells ready to go, dig that magical, glowing spot. You’ll dig up 1,000 Bells. Keep your shovel out, but don’t close the glowing hole! Instead, you’re going to take out 10,000 Bells from your Bell stash and make them into an item. Do this by selecting the Bells in your inventory then choosing 10,000 Bells as shown in the screenshot below.
You can also bury more than 10,000 Bells at a time. Some users have reported successfully burying 30,000 Bells and more. IGN is investigating just how much works, but we have not successfully grown any tree that produces more than 10,000 Bell bags. Plant more at your own risk.
Good luck with your tree!
How To Get Infinite Bells In Animal Crossing New Horizons
So there are some basic guidelines that you are going to want to follow for this glitch to work. Noted in the above video, you are going to need to make a new town on your same account. This can be done by using different users on the Nintendo Switch.
Next, you are going to want to initiate local multiplayer with the two users in the same town
Then you are going to want either the Cardboard Box or some sort of Wood Table that you can place outside.
Then you are going to want to grab your Nintendo Switch in-game item that you receive as a gift from Nintendo on the first day.
Head outside with your two users and place the Switch on the table – according to the video the second you rotate the Wooden Table or whatever the Switch is on, that will essentially duplicate this item.
Using the second account you are then going to want to rotate the table, which duplicates the item. So, in order to do the exploit, you are going to want to rotate with one controller and grab the item with the other. You can continue to do this over and over until you have a maxed-out inventory.
Each Nintendo Switch sells for around 7000 bells and if you have the New Horizons special edition Switch, it sells for around 9000 bells.

In the summer season, especially from July-August , you can catch a ton of expensive beetles! Several of these range from 6000 to 12000 bells in value, so they’re definitely worth hunting. Note that many of them only spawn on Palm Trees.
Trade Critters With Special Characters
If you are short of Bells and in urgent need, then remember about the special visit from Flick or CJ. If you sell your fish or bug to them you will get 50% more for each and you can easily maximize your income. CJ and Flick stay around the island until the day resets at 5 am. So you have plenty of time to sell your catches and earn a good sum of money.
