Planting Flowers On Beach
Similar to the trees we mentioned earlier, the flowers that can be found in New Horizons also grow in stages, however, unlike many of the trees they can actually be planted on the beaches too which is great for designing seaside cafes or any other nice little areas by the beach covered in flowers. Now it turns out when you plant flowers on the beach, they’re naturally stunted and won’t grow further than its current stage which is cool because some of the flower stages are far more desirable than the actual flowers themselves. This is more of a tip than anything else, but if you move flowers or plant new ones on the beach, they’ll stay the way they look.;
Tips: Planting cosmos flowers on beach as they actually look like little bits of seaweed or coral, and look like they’re supposed to be there given the nature of the sand. These will stay looking that way until you remove them which will make any developed beach area look even cooler.;
How To Dig Up Trees In Animal Crossing: New Horizons
To dig up a tree, simply eat a single fruit of any kind to gain some temporary super strength. You can eat one fruit at a time, and the superpower maxes out at 10 fruit.
Once youve dug up a tree, youll be able to see what type of tree it is, even if it wasnt a fruit-bearing day for that tree. This comes in handy when youre trying to manage and organize all of your fruit trees.
Of course, you can always hack away at any given tree by using the ax tool. You cannot cut down trees with a flimsy ax or a stone ax, as those serve as non-damaging means of harvesting wood from your trees.
Just make sure to dig up your tree stumps after youve chopped down trees, as they dont despawn on their own. Feel free to keep a few as a furniture feature for your NPC villagers to sit on. Also, tree stumps can spawn an exclusive type of spider.
How Many Times Can You Shake A Tree Animal Crossing New Horizons
Not every tree will have a branch in its leaves, but many will at least enough to build your next tool. Some will drop multiple branches. You can even shake the same tree multiple times before and after it drops a branch, so keep at it. More importantly, though, trees might also drop furniture and bells.

How To Plant Animal Crossing New Horizons Trees Bushes Flowers On Paths
To plant trees, bushes, flowers, bamboo, etc on paths in Animal Crossing New Horizons, you have to exploit a glitch. The bug was discovered by YouTuber Mayor Mori, and it works on stone, brick, arch tile, terracotta, and wooden paths. It doesnt really change the game in any super-meaningful way, but it does let you make your island a little more aesthetically pleasing. Planting something this way lets you avoid those unseemly patches of grass inside your paved areas. Heres how it works.
The first step is to go ahead and pave the area you want, with whichever path tiles you choose. Then, select a construction kit from your inventory and hover it over the path tiles. Then, select the let me imagine it option. When the game asks you whether this is a good spot, say I need to rethink it.
This will back out of the building menu, but will also trigger the glitch. The game will think that the tiled area is now dirt again. So, feel free to dig it up as you would regular earth, and plant whatever you want. You can even bury something in there, if you want to. And thats how you plant trees, flowers, bushes on paths in Animal Crossing. Its a simple process, once you know that its there. Enjoy playing around with it!
How To Get Wood In Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Stop sniggering at the back! Ahem. Just as in real life, wood comes from trees in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Rather unlike real life, trees in Animal Crossing: New Horizons produce an unending supply of all three types of wood. You get it by hitting the tree with an axe.
HOWEVER, they’ll only be able to withstand two hits from a proper axe before the next strike chops the tree down. Keep this in mind unless you want to accidentally chop down a prized fruit tree.
Ironically, you’re much better off if you use a Flimsy or Stone axe to gather wood – you are able to get three lots of wood from every tree plus those axes aren’t strong enough to cut trees down regardless of how many times you swing at it.
The only downside is that the flimsy axe lives up to its name and will soon disintegrate through use – you’ll have to craft several if you want to harvest wood from every tree on your island, or upgrade to the Stone axe for better durability .
The three types of available wood are used to craft a host of items in the game, from vital tools to exotic furniture and more.

How To Get & Plant Bamboo In Animal Crossing New Horizons
To get and plant bamboo in Animal Crossing New Horizons, you first have to get a Bamboo Shoot, or get a fruit buff and dig up a whole bamboo plant. Unfortunately, the only way to do that is to go on Mystery Islands Tours and hope that the island that youre going to has bamboo. This happens totally randomly; it might take you two tours, it might take fifteen. You simply have to keep going until you eventually come across bamboo.
Now, once you do arrive on a Mystery Island that has bamboo, there are two things you can do. One is to dig up the holes found next to fully-grown bamboos. Inside, youll find a bamboo shoot, which you can then re-plant on your own island. Alternatively, you can eat a fruit and dig up a whole, fully-grown bamboo plant. Then, take it back to your island and re-plat it, much like you would do to get Foreign Fruit.
Bamboo is necessary in Animal Crossing New Horizons for several different crafting recipes. Plus, there are two types of bamboo that you can harvest, regular and Young Spring Bamboo. So, make sure that you get several different bamboo plants once you find them, because just one is not going to be enough to get both types of bamboo. Sometimes, if you spend enough money on Daisy Maes turnips, she might send you some bamboo in the mail, but you cant rely on that. And, well, there you have it. Good luck on your bamboo hunt; you are going to need it.

Why You Should Grow Trees
So how will growing trees help you out in-game? There are quite a few benefits of growing lots of trees in your village.
Growing regular trees is excellent for decoration, but that’s not all they can be. You can shake normal trees, and sometimes they will drop bells or furniture. Just be careful of wasp nests!
Fruit trees are suitable to grow if you want to have every fruit on your island and sell them. The more fruit you can collect daily, the more bells you’ll be able to get. You can also chop down trees in Animal Crossing to get materials for tools.
The benefit of money trees, of course, needs no explanation. You get three times the amount you put in for free. Trees, in general, are significant in Animal Crossing and can help you out immensely.
How To Plant Trees
Your native fruit can be sold for 100 Bells each, and new fruit will appear on those trees three days later. If you want to grow more trees, you can dig a hole with your shovel, stand next to it, open your inventory and select a piece of fruit. A prompt will appear to plant it. Press A and you’ll bury the fruit, and a nursery tree will appear. The tree will take three days to grow to full size, transitioning from nursery to small young tree, to a medium young tree. Make sure to leave enough room for it to expand. If you can dig three holes between the sapling and the nearest tree, you’re good.
If you want to move it during this time, you can dig it up with your shovel and the growing tree will appear in your inventory. You can then replant it without losing any progress for its growth. Once it’s fully grown, you’ll need some help to dig it up. Luckily, that boost is close at hand. Just go into your inventory and eat a piece of fruit. You can eat up to 10 pieces of fruit to gain a buff that gives you the strength to dig up fully grown trees or shatter rocks when you hit them. Every time you use that strength, the buff ticks down by one. You can also get rid of it by using your toilet.

Cultivating A Reliable Orchard In Animal Crossing: New Horizons
In New Horizons, there is often an issue with planting multiple trees in one place. Some of the trees will grow like normal, and some of them will not grow at all. The proven workaround for this occurrence is the Transplant Method. Whole trees can now be placed into inventory and moved to a new location. This requires a lot of energy, so eat at least one piece of fruit before attempting this. Up to ten pieces of fruit can be eaten at once, which means that ten trees can be held at one time.
Plant trees as normal anywhere on the island. Next, decide where you want your orchard. Dig a series of holes, one space apart. When ready, dig up the original trees, move them to where you placed your holes, and plant them. This will allow you to quickly cultivate a large fully grown orchard that looks exactly the way you want it to.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available on Nintendo Switch.
Planting Trees In Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Past methods of planting trees remain the same in New Horizons. Players have the option of digging a hole and planting a single piece of fruit in the hole or purchasing a sapling from the Nook Cranny and planting it in a hole.
