Sell Turnips When The Price Is High
The basic rule of making a profit is to buy low & sell high. Check how much it’s selling at Nook’s Cranny and only sell when it’s significantly higher than your buying price.
Turnip Prices Change Twice A Day At Noon
Mon |

60 |
This is just an example price range for Turnips!!!
Turnip prices changes every day from between approximately 50 to 150 Bells. Note that the pricing of the turnips changes from morning and at noon . You can check their sell price at Nook’s Cranny.
Sometimes The Pricing Significantly Rises
The price of 1 turnip jumped to 420 bells!
If you are lucky, the price of turnips sometimes skyrockets . Visit Nook’s Cranny and keep an eye on the price every day.
Stalk Market And Turnip Prices
You invest in the turnips like stocks so it’s called the Stalk Market!
Like in Animal Crossings before, these turnips go bad after a week, so after you invest, you have a whole week to sell them. Timmy and Tommy wont buy them on Sunday, so you must sell turnips before the following Sunday on any other day
When you decide to sell is entirely up to you, but keep an eye out for higher rates. Timmy and Tommy will sometimes offer fewer Bells than you paid for your turnips. Try to avoid this at all costs.
Turnip prices fluctuate in the morning and again in the afternoon, from anywhere between 50 and over 500 Bells in either direction. If you don’t like the morning price, check in the afternoon.
Turnip rates are usually at their highest on Tuesday, so try at least check then! Theyre not guaranteed to sell highest then, though. We once saw turnips going for 445 Bells on a Wednesday afternoon.
Efficient Selling Between Two Players

This method requires Time Travelling, but is an efficient way of earning bells through Turnip Trading.
One player time travels to a day when Turnip prices are high, while the other time travels to Sunday when Turnip prices are low.
Both players will alternate visiting each other’s islands to maximize the profits from selling Turnips!
The other island’s clock doesn’t affect your Turnips
Even if the in-game clock is different on the Switch of the island you visit, it won’t cause your Turnips to rot.
The state of your Turnips is based on your own island’s clock, so even if you or the other player have Time Traveled before, you can travel to any player’s island without fear.

Money Tree Myth Busting: Can You Grow 99k Bell Bags
Players, including some among our staff, have reported planting more than 10K and successfully growing more than 10K bell bags without any time travel cheating. This is completely random and luck based. For that reason, we do not recommend it as an efficient way to make money.
Youre better off planting 10K for a guaranteed 20K profit than planting 99K for a 69K loss.
But you can use the money tree and the time travel cheat with guaranteed results
Dont Bury Too Much Money

A money tree will always grow the same amount of money: 90,000 in three bags of 30,000. The amount of money that you bury does not affectthe amount that the money tree grows on it. It is always the same. You shouldnt bury 90,000 bells or more, because if a money tree does grow, then you wont be making a profit. You should bury a smaller number than 90,000 so you can try to make a profit.

How To Increase The Chance Of Getting A Money Tree
When you bury a bag of money, it will sprout like a normal tree. That sprout will grow into a fully-grown tree in four days, and it MIGHT be a money tree. However, small bags of money are unlikely to grow into money trees. Large bags of money have a better chance of becoming money trees, but you will never have a 100% chance of growing a money tree no matter how much money you bury. To have a 1% chance of a tree growing into a money tree, plant 1,000 bells. To have a 14% chance, plant 14,000 bells. And so on.
Currency For The Stalk Market
Turnips are the currency used in the game’s version of the real-life stock market, which they call the Stalk Market.
Turnips go on sale every Sunday morning, and are sold by the turnip lady, Daisy Mae.
You can sell Turnips at Nook’s Cranny from Monday to Saturday. If you’re willing to wait for a good sell price, you can buy low and sell high for a big profit!

You can bury Turnips to store them, although it’s not recommended since it’s a hassle to dig up and makes the island look less visually appealing.
Inside your house
You can also store your Turnips inside your house. If you have extra rooms, you can drop them on the floor.
Alternatively, you can place them on tables to avid decreasing your HHA score.
Display them on your island

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Money Tree
Forget fruit, the savviest islanders grow cold, hard cash. Heres how to grow a money tree and bolster your bells in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
Unlike typical topiary, you can only plant money trees in specific spots on your island but luckily theyre quite common. Once youve planted a money tree, you can move it to better fit your aesthetic.
If its still a nursery tree, you can dig it up with a shovel. Or if its already fully grown, youll first need to eat fruit to give you fruit power then dig it up.

The amount of bell which grow on the tree will be 1/3 of the money youve buried. However, the maximum amount of bells that can grow on the money tree is 30,000 bells . Do not bury more than 10,000 bell. Bury 10,000 bells to maximize your profit.
Note: Conflicting Reports
There have been multiple reports of people planting bags of 99,999 bells and having a tree provide them triple returns. We have not been able to confirm this ourselves and thus dont recommend you give this a try, as it seems to be highly random.
When To Sell Turnips

Turnip prices fluctuate in the morning and again in the afternoon. If you don’t like the morning price, check in the afternoon. You’re more likely to see turnips going for 100+ Bells, but if you’re lucky, they’ll go for well over 500 and even into 600 Bells territory. Those high prices seem to be rare, so consider working with friends or an online community to find the best turnip selling price.
People have traditionally seen good turnip prices on Tuesdays, but it’s best to check regularly.

The money tree is an old series trick that people have been experimenting with since the game launched, and now weve got a bit more information about how the whole thing works, so read on for everything you need to know about money trees in the game.
First the basics: you plant a money tree by finding the glowing spot on the ground that shows up once per day on the island. Dig it up to find some bells, but also a glowing hole: do not fill the hole in. Instead, go select the bells at the bottom of your inventory and pull some out. With the shovel still equipped, select the bells in your inventory and select bury in hole. Youll see a little sprout that will grow into a money tree a few days later. It will only yield one round of bells: after that it reverts to being a standard hardwood tree.
