Save Up Bells For Harveys Plaza Shops
Its not only Nook Miles youll need to fully experience the new delights of Animal Crossing: New Horizons after Novembers update Bells appear to be just as crucial!
Arguably the most significant addition in Version 2.0 is a massively expanded Harveys Island featuring a campground plaza that can expand with various different shops and special characters.
But when you first visit this new plaza hosted by Harvey, itll be almost entirely empty with gyroids sitting around waiting to collect Bells from you to fund future developments!
Characters like Saharah, Kicks, Jolly Redd, Harriet, Leif, Reese, Cyrus, Tortimer, and Katrina will all be able to take up shop on your Harveys Island plaza with enough contributions from you.
We dont have any specific details on exactly how many Bells youll need as the Animal Crossing Direct avoided displaying exact amounts, but given that this will be the updates end game for many players, were expecting potentially enormous costs in Bells.
So if you want to experience all of the new activities and experiences at Harveys Island as soon as possible after updating to Version 2.0, we highly suggest ensuring your Bank of Nook account is packed full of Bells! Plus, its likely youll need Bells to unlock other additions like greatly expanded house storage from Tom Nook.
Greedy Gardening: Plant A Money Tree
Im sure by now youve noticed a glowing patch of grass somewhere else on your island every day. Dig it up, and you get 1,000 bells. It may not sound like much pocket money, but take another look. That patch is still glowing when you extract the cash, right? Well, toss a bag of cash back in there, and youll sprout a money tree in five or six days with sacks of bells hanging from it like fruit.
These wont regrow like fruit, and youll only get 3,000 bells per day if you throw back in what you get. But play it smart. Instead of that chump change, dump a sack of 10,000 bells in the hole, and youll boost the payout to 30,000 per tree. Make it a daily chore, and youll gain a net 140,000 bells per week.
However, players have been trying a new trick that seems to be working out. Although most players wont try it, some gamblers will bury 99,000 bells in a hole. For a long time, players thought this risk wasnt worth it. But if you wait until a day when, during the morning announcements, Isabelle mentions that her astrology said she will be lucky, then its time to bury 99,000 bells. Its the only way youll be able to yield 297,000 bells from the money tree.

Dont Use The Drop Box Unless Absolutely Necessary
Animal Crossing is a series that progresses in real-time, meaning that when its dark outside in the real world, nighttime will also appear in your game. Right outside Nooks Cranny you can find a drop box that lets you sell wares even after the shop closes at 10 p.m. But its best not to use it at all. If youre someone who can only play at night, this is a handy feature, but every time you use it theres a handling fee: Items are bought at 80 percent of their normal trade-in value and you only receive payment the next day. This means you would get significantly less money than selling during open store hours. If youre inventory is full, you can just use your house storage to keep excess materials there that can be sold the following day.

Ruffled Dress 4240 Bells
The Ruffled Dress is one of several expensive gowns available in New Horizons and is perfect for those looking to create a gothic look for their character. It isn’t cheap though, with those hoping to get their hands on one needing to part with 4,240 bells.
The good news is, the ruffled dress is available in three different colors , meaning that it’s fairly easy to assemble a matching outfit. For those simply wishing to admire the dress rather than wear it themselves, they can simply invite Muffy or Rhonda to their island, as both wear the purple ruffled dress by default.
Renaissance Dress 6000 Bells
The Renaissance dress is surprisingly accurate to its namesake era. It features an empire waistline that gives the dress a flowing, high-waisted silhouette that was extremely popular during the Renaissance period, especially in Italy. New Horizons just needs to add some puffy sleeves to this piece to make it perfect for any 16th-century noblewoman.
With a price tag of 6,000 Bells, the Renaissance dress is certainly fit for a noble. It comes in six color variants, including layers of royal purple, salmon pink, navy blue, emerald green, and a rich, bright red.
How To Sell Items In Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp
In Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, there are tons of different items that you will come across on your journey to make your campsite the best that it can be. Thanks to the Market Box option in the game, youre able to sell fish, fruit, and bugs for whatever price that you choose. Other players can look through your Market Box and buy any of the items that you have listed for sale. You can also look at other players items for sale by talking to them in the overworld and selecting View Market Box. Its worth noting, however, that once youve put an item into your Market Box in Pocket Camp, theres currently no way to get it back. As such, be sure youre happy to sell the item before putting it in there.
If you want to sell premium items for a set price, like furniture, you can head to the Market Place area via the map. Just speak to Tommy, the raccoon, and youll be given the option to sell. Since youre not selling to your online friends, there is no way to set your own price, but were sure that Tommy will give you a reasonable deal.
And thats all you need to know about selling items in Pocket Camp. For more tips, tricks, and guides on Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, be sure to search for Twinfinite.
Reacquaint Yourself With Your Island
The best place to start is to familiarize yourself with your island again. Look at your map, but also walk your shores and take in the space youre created. Appreciate the hard work youve put into creating your island oasis before you tear that shit to the ground.
For me, I used this time to reflect on what I needed to do. Though I remembered my villager neighborhood being isolated, its actually right in front of the airport dock. Thats bad. Its closed off on a small piece of land with the Resident Services building, before rogue flowers spawning from the massive field start overtaking portions of land. The museum, soon to be a social hub for my villagers, is tucked back on a far-off, upper portion of my island. Though its impeccably landscaped over there with its stunning courtyard save the weeds its very far back from all the action from the Resident Services plaza. Simply put, its a pain in the ass to reach.
But the main part of my island is this: Without noticing it, I somehow managed to stuff all my buildings into one half of the island. And the other half is effectively empty, except for the massive yellow flower field and my own island home. My initial thought was that I would have to flatten my island to the ground and work from there. But after my walkthrough, I realized I had a lot of open space I could focus on, and complete the island rework in steps, rather than in one nightmarish frenzy.
Hold Off On Expanding Your House
In the early hours of the game, Tom Nook will request 5,000 Nook Miles from you to receive a tent and then 98,000 bells to convert it into a house. Once thats done, its best to hold off on expanding your home so you can save money to help finish off quests and subsequently unlock other features more quickly. Of course, this decision is entirely yours, but for those that want the entire palette of game mechanics and features, saving up early on can help make that easier.

Just be sure to ask for permission if the island belongs to a player.

Playing The Stalk Market
After youve unlocked Nooks Cranny, youll start getting a visit from Daisy Mae every Sunday morning and leaves around noon. This relative of Joan sells turnips and theyre not for eating! Instead, youll treat these like stocks — yeah, you read that right. Its called the Sow Joans Stalk Market, to be exact.
Like in Animal Crossings before, these turnips go bad after a week, so after you invest, you have a whole week to sell them. Timmy and Tommy wont buy them on Sunday, but they will any other day Their prices change in the morning and the afternoon.
Daisy Mae sells turnips each week at a different price per turnip. Sometimes it’s 97 Bells, sometimes it’s 92 Bells. Regardless, you have to buy them in bundles of 10. If you want to play this game make sure you have a lot of Bells on you! Like stocks, this is an investment, and so long as you sell your turnips before they rot, you should make money back.
When you decide to sell is entirely up to you, but keep an eye out for higher rates.
Turnip rates are usually at their highest on Tuesday, so try then! If the morning price isn’t appealing, you should probably sell some during the afternoon price.
Here are some things to keep in mind:
