How To Swim Faster In Animal Crossing New Horizons

I love a good swim when the weathers right, dont you? Though I always preferred swimming in pools to the ocean the water at the beaches near where I grew up was always puke green and full of seaweed Thankfully, the waters surrounding your island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons are crystal clear and ripe for exploring. Theres a lot of water to go through, though, so heres how to swim a little faster in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

The ability to swim in the ocean around your island was added to Animal Crossing: New Horizons in one of the summer updates. Getting in the water is as easy as just walking into it off the beach or jumping off a rock face or dock. Though before you can get in the water, youll need to purchase a wetsuit from Nooks Cranny. Once youre in the water, you may notice that moving around is a tad different from just walking around on the island. Which shouldnt really be that surprising, since thats how it is in real life.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Sea Creatures can be found in the ocean, though youll need to dive down to find them. Each type can be found throughout the ocean, whether thats close to the shore or a little further away. Its worth noting that some creatures will try to speed away from you a little faster than others, with faster critters usually being the rare types.

Pearls that can be used in Mermaid DIY recipes can also be found by diving so hold on to those when you find them.

To get into the water and find sea creatures, youll need a wetsuit, which you can pick up from Nooks Cranny for 3000 Bells or Nook Shopping for 800 Nook Miles.

After that, you can head to a pier or the rocks near the ocean and press A to jump in. You can also walk in off the beach, though running and jumping off rocks or the pier is much more satisfying. Keep pressing A to swim around and press Y to dive if you see a shadow or some bubbles coming out of the water. Press A when youre near the shadow to catch the critter.

How to identify sea creatures in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

has arrived! And although every sea creature has now had at least one turn on the Animal Crossing: New Horizons island since swimming was introduced to the game last July, there’s still plenty of weird and wonderful critters to catch out there in the ocean including some interesting arrivals and departures for the month.

Whatever sea creatures you’re on the look-out for, this guide covers when to find them, how to catch them, and how much they sell for at Nook’s Cranny.

Compared to the big changes coming to your island’s fish and bug rosters in June, the depths of the ocean are relatively quiet this month: the Chambered Nautilus, Firefly Squid, and Lobster are the only forthcoming departures.

In terms of arrivals, there’s a few more familiar critters returning to the scene. For the first time in a while you can pick up Sea Grapes, Tiger Prawns, Mussels, Gazami Crabs, and Abalones during your freediving adventures. For anyone who’s been playing since the big sea swimming update last July, it surely feels like summer is on the cusp of returning now that your pockets are absolutely filled with sea grapes once again.

To swim faster in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you need to tap the A button while pushing the left analog stick in the direction that you want to move.

While holding A does give you a slight speed boost, youre going to want to repeatedly tap A to move at the maximum speed. Your character will perform a breaststroke and move across the ocean with greater speed.

This method can also be used underwater. Dive under the water using Y and then rapidly tap A to catch up with your prey.

The tapping A method is not only useful for more efficient gathering of scallops and other resources, it can also be used to catch up with the most speedy of creatures. For example, we needed to tap A in order to catch a Snow Crab. Without this method, it would have proven very difficult indeed!

Paintings, statues, and Artwork: The foxs primary business, of course, revolves around the paintings, statues, and artwork in the game. You can buy these from him for 4980 bells each.

Animal Crossing New Horizons has been updated to version 2.0 and has also received a DLC, Happy Home Paradise. The latter includes various novelties and the public is somewhat appreciating it. Being paid, however, some cannot afford it, consequently, some players are giving it away to the poorest.

Via Reddit, user MoonDaDoop claimed he had an extra $ 35 eShop card and said he wanted to give it to someone who didnt have the money to buy the Animal Crossing New Horizons DLC. The gift was quickly awarded, but this prompted other users to make themselves available to buy the expansion for those who couldnt afford it.

Here is what he said:

As always, we dont know how many people who said they dont have the money to buy the DLC are telling the truth and how many are just trying to get the game for free, but we dont think its necessary to dwell on the negative possibilities. What matters is that many players are extremely generous and, in the spirit of sharing and cheerfulness typical of Animal Crossing New Horizons, have decided to help others.
