How To Get Started With Animal Crossing Amiibo
Here are some of the new villagers included in the 2.0 update!
Series 5 releases on Nov. 5, 2021, alongside the free 2.0 update and the Happy Home Paradise paid DLC. Players can use amiibo cards at Harvey’s Photopia on his special island to call villagers and NPCs to the Roost café located in the museum, to build vacation homes in the Happy Home Paradise archipelago, and to invite villagers to your island’s campsite.
It’s worth noting that series 5 Animal Crossing amiibo cards will not work with Animal Crossing: New Leaf and Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer on the Nintendo 3DS, or Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival on the Wii U. Scanning incompatible amiibo cards into a game that doesn’t support them could cause your game to crash and/or save data to be corrupted. Only use this series of amiibo with Animal Crossing: New Horizons on the Nintendo Switch.
If you’re purchasing amiibo cards on the secondhand market, be wary of people who may be selling homemade amiibo cards, which are usually printed on PVC plastic in the shape of an amiibo card and include an NFC chip containing the amiibo data for your respective villager. While homemade amiibo will technically work on your island, you don’t want to fall for a scam where you pay scalper prices for something that isn’t even genuine. After all, some amiibo can be quite expensive to purchase secondhand, so you want to make the best purchase always.
Benefits Of Using The Calling Card:
- Makes an animal friend of your choice available immediately.
- Automatically adds 1 point to your friendship progression with the called animal friend.
- The animal friend you call appears in the location from which you call them.
- They share the location with any animal friend already there. Up to 2 per location.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons Compatible Amiibo Cards
As stated above, the official Animal Crossing website has not been updated to list which Amiibo cards are compatible with Animal Crossing: New Horizons. However, the recent Direct for the game stated that the game supports Amiibo figures and Amiibo cards from the Animal Crossing series. They havent confirmed that all 400 Amiibo cards will work, but the video does show the following cards:
Wed like to hope that all the Amiibo figures and Amiibo cards are supported so all your friends from previous titles can say hello! Well let you know as soon as Nintendo confirms exactly how it works.

How To Use Amiibo In Animal Crossing: New Horizons
There you have it. As long as you have either the Animal Crossing amiibo figurines or the amiibo cards, you’ll be able to invite characters into your game by merely scanning the NFC chips. Remember that the cards are more useful when it comes to getting the villagers you want to live on your island, although the figurines are just too cute to pass up.
Enjoy your game! I hope you’re able to get all of the villagers you want to come to your island.

How To Invite Amiibo Campers
Once you’ve followed the above steps you should have the app, the amiibo data, and have your Nintendo Switch connected to your phone. Now you can go to the kiosk in Resident Services, as usual, and invite an amiibo camper.
You should be using your phone as a controller for this part. You can activate the kiosk, and then press the home button to configure your controller if need be.
- Once connected choose to invite an amiibo camper, and tap through the menus.
- Once you’re prompted to present an amiibo, a file explorer should appear on your phone. Use this to find the .bin file which contains your desired amiibo data.
- If the file explorer does not open on your Android device, you may need to restart the app or your phone. Again, the app is in alpha, so it’s forgiveable.
- If successful, your Nintendo Switch should read it as a legitimate amiibo card or figure, and import the character into your game!

Animal Crossing Season 5 Amiibo Cards Coming This November
Fans of the popular town builder/turnip-based capitalism simulator Animal Crossing will be excited to learn that Season 5 amiibo cards will be coming in November. There will be 48 new cards in total and they will feature some of the newer characters found in the New Horizons game that kept us all company during the darkest days of 2020 and 2021. The cards work very much like your standard amiibo figurines, except theyre cards and not figurines. Tapping them on the sweet spot on your Switch will allow you to summon the character to your town, which will save you the hassle of traveling to a bunch of islands over and over again until you finally find someone good.
While the 48 total cards are half of what previous seasons offered season 4 had 100 characters, for example there have been some favorites that have yet to grace the face of an amiibo card. While we dont have a complete list quite yet, heres who we know will be included:

Complete Requests & Converse With Your Friends
Completing requests from your animal friends raises their relationship level and in turn you gain points from their level up. Talking to your friends also increases their level so make sure you speak to them regularly. Friends being hosted at your campsite will also have a request for you every 30minutes to 1 hour and you can inquire about their day every 30 minutes which will also give you relationship points.
If you run out of requests, dont forget to use your Request Tickets so you can do more quests. However request tickets cant be used at your campsite so if you want someone from your camp to give you requests faster you must remove them from your camp first and then wait for them to go to one of the areas or call them to an area with the call option in your contacts list.

How To Use The Request Ticket In Animal Crossing Pocket Camp
Each of the rotating neighbors only has three requests you can fulfill each rotation. So, if you want to gain friendship levels with them sooner, you need a way to make them give you more requests. Thats where the Request Tickets come in.
Head over to a rotating neighbors campsite and fulfill their three requests. Once youve done that, ask them if they need anything one more time. This will let you use a Request Ticket to complete three more requests from that neighbor. Youll also get +3 relationship points with that animal, even if you dont finish the new requests.
How Do Request Tickets And Calling Cards Work
I know I have these two items but I don’t know how to access or use them. I’ve exhausted all available requests and don’t see an option to use one of these features to make more requests available. The Beginner’s Guide explanation for Request Tickets isn’t helpful either:
What do Request Tickets and Calling Cards do and how do I activate them?
I just worked out that you can use a calling card to ‘call’ one of the animals on your ‘Contacts’ list. You can call the ones that aren’t visiting at your site.
I got a prompt to use a request ticket when I asked an animal “Need anything?” after I had fulfilled a few of their requests.

I Love This Game And Here Are Suggestions
We all know how great this game is. You get to talk to animals, participate in events, buy clothes for your character, and invite animals to your campsite + cabin! Ive been playing for a while and even most of my friends have played it. However, coming from a player, I would really like to see at least an icon of what a player wants to buy from the market place. I think that would be really cool. Right now, my wool stock is really low. I already am doing requests but it isnt helping. It would be cool for my player to show that I need wool so others can sell. It would be even cooler if players can gift other players items! My friends and I would love this! I dont think wed be the only ones honestly. Of course, these items would include clothes or any duplicate furniture that we want to get rid of. In order so this doesnt dominate the purpose of the market place fruits, bugs, and other resources will be limited to the market place. My third suggestion comes from the AC games. I think players would be extremely excited to design their own clothes. However, if everyone could do this freely, the clothes from events and the marketplace would have almost no value. Therefore, we must charge a certain amount of leaves. I hope someone reads this even after the New Horizons release. I know people who do not have access to a Switch will continue playing this game! Thank you for reading.
Animal Crossing Series 5 Amiibo Cards Price: How Much Do They Cost
Nintendo has not yet confirmed the price for the Animal Crossing Series 5 Amiibo cards, but we can make a decent guess based on the previous form.
When the Animal Crossing Sanrio cards launched back in March, a pack containing all six cards was priced at £4.99 GBP or $5.99 USD. So wed expect something similar this time.

In case you dont have access to Google Playstore or App Store, you can get the game installation files from many different websites. However, you need to be cautious of other facts that some APK can be malicious. They can even hack your phone and perform a ransomware attack. Do download your APK from a trusted source and verify it through Google Play Protect.
Special Fruits Bugs And Fishes
After the most recent update, there is an addition of special fruits, bugs, and fishes. When you find these rare items, they will be listed separately. When animals need help with anything, they will have three dots floating above the heads, then try to choose a particular item and give it to them. It will increase the friendship level up to +6.

Upgrade Your Gaming Experience With Animal Crossing Amiibo Cards
Nintendos beloved Animal Crossing series has gained online capabilities in its most recent iterations. New multiplayer and interactive online functions have unlocked new options for gameplay and increased the ability to customize. The games open-ended, interactive play with other villagers, called dreamies, can be upgraded through the purchase of an amiibo card.
What does an amiibo card do?
In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you can customize your own island and invite a number of new villagers to live there. Gaining rare dreamies can help you upgrade your island to five stars and unlock new functionality along the way. An Animal Crossing amiibo card allows you to download the villagers that are included in pack via the internet to achieve the following main functions:
- Conduct photo shoots on Harvs Island with amiibo dreamies.
- Invite amiibo characters to your islands campsite, the first step to asking them to move to your village.
Why purchase an amiibo card?
Animal Crossing fans should consider purchasing amiibo cards for several reasons. First, amiibo cards allow you to call rare dreamies to your island at your leisure. Many rare dreamies, like Digby and Isabelle, wont turn up at the campsite. An amiibo will allow you to call them to your island and improve the customization of your own little paradise. There are more than 400 amiibo cards that you can choose from, which will ensure that you are able to invite your favorite villager to your town.
The Amiibo Figures Vs The Amiibo Cards
There are over 400 Animal Crossing amiibo that you can use if you count the 18 NFC figures and the hundreds of Animal Crossing amiibo cards. Both the figures and the cards feature NFC chips and get scanned the same way using your Nintendo Switch. However, in New Horizons, the amiibo cards are more useful since they allow you to invite new villagers to your island. The amiibo figures are fun to collect, but they can only be used to invite the unique characters they depict to photoshoot sessions while youre on Harveys Island.
If you have your heart set on inviting a specific villager to your island, you might want to scour eBay for a particular Animal Crossing amiibo card as many sellers will let you buy them individually. But be warned. Some of the more popular villagers amiibo cards are incredibly pricey.
A full list of Animal Crossing amiibo cards can be found on Animal Crossings official website.

Build Additional Homes On Your Island
Now it’s time to talk to Tom Nook at Resident Services. Since you’re inviting even more villagers to your island, this loaded raccoon will tell you that more houses need to be built to accommodate everyone. He’ll then give you a housing kit and will ask you to pick a location for this new home. Run around your island and select the perfect place for your new villager to live. You’ll need to wait until the following day for this new house to show up on your island.
How Do You Get People In Your Campsite In Animal Crossing
After construction of the campsite, players can invite Amiibo to their campsite via the Nook Stop terminal found in Resident Services. If a compatible villager figure or Amiibo card is read, the corresponding villager will visit the island and immediately stay in the campsite location until the next day.
