No Amiibo No Problem This Guide Has Everything You Need

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is so popular that it caused the cost of Animal Crossing amiibo to spike through the roof uncontrollably – it’s genuinely insane how popular Nintendo’s social sim has quickly become, and we couldn’t be happier. Except for the amiibo prices, that is.

The fact is, there are a bunch of amiibo that I would’ve certainly purchased before had I known that the prices would skyrocket in the way that they did, and I’m left with the dreaded FOMO and misery. Except we can solve that.

Through a new Android app called JoyCon Droid and some dumped NFC data, we can import amiibo villagers without actually having to own their amiibo. Cheeky? Absolutely. Can you blame me? I’m assuming not.

If you follow our instructions here, you should know everything you need in order to get any amiibo villager you wish in Animal Crossing: New Horizons And of course, these instructions should work fine for pretty much any game which uses amiibo.

How To Unlock The Campsite

The campsite allows random villagers to appear on your island, which gives you the option of inviting them to live their as pemanent residents. If you have amiibo cards, you can use them to ask specific villagers to your campsite. To be more precise, the character depicted on the card gets invited to your island.

Note: You can only use Animal Crossing amiibo cards here. None of the characters that have been turned into amiibo figurines can be invited to the campsite.

Use The Nookstop Kiosk At Resident Services

Some Animal Crossing: New Horizons Players Are Making ...

Once the new villager has moved in, head back to Resident Services and talk with Tom Nook. He’ll tell you that he wants to bring even more villagers to the island. Now, run over to the Nook Stop kiosk and interact with it. He’ll tell you that you can now use Animal Crossing amiibo cards to invite more villagers to the island. Just note that you can only have one camper per day.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Compatible Amiibo Cards

As stated above, the official Animal Crossing website has not been updated to list which Amiibo cards are compatible with Animal Crossing: New Horizons. However, the recent Direct for the game stated that the game supports Amiibo figures and Amiibo cards from the Animal Crossing series. They havent confirmed that all 400 Amiibo cards will work, but the video does show the following cards:

  • Mint
  • Bunny

Wed like to hope that all the Amiibo figures and Amiibo cards are supported so all your friends from previous titles can say hello! Well let you know as soon as Nintendo confirms exactly how it works.

How To Download Joycon Droid And Connect To Your Nintendo Switch

This is all made possible thanks to JoyCon Droid, the app which lets you use your Android device as a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller. It should be noted that several devices have issues with JoyCon Droid at the moment, such as Google Pixel, Huawei, and Xiaomi.

If you have an Android device other than those, such as a Samsung, then you’re in luck, and this should work fine. Though the app is in Alpha as of the time of writing, the free version does show ads, and you can likely expect bugs.

  • You can find JoyCon Droid on the Google Play Store. No need to worry about dodgy .apk files!
  • Once downloaded and installed, go into your app permissions and ensure JoyCon Droid can access your storage, and that it has amiibo functionality enabled in the settings.
  • Choose the Pro Controller option.
  • On your Nintendo Switch, open the controller pairing screen.
  • Choose Change Order, and then select the black sync button on the app, between the shoulder buttons.
  • Make sure your phone has Bluetooth connected, and accept any notifications that appear.
  • Your phone should now be connected to your Switch. The app may bug at this point, if so, restart the app or your phone entirely and try again.

Animal Crossing Request Tickets Explained

Fulfilling Requests is one of the core activities you can do with a fellow villager, and one of the best ways to increase your Friendship level.

Each Friendship level gives you new rewards – including the chance at exclusive clothing, as well as regular consumables such as Bells and crafting materials – and the opportunity to invite them to your camp.

Requests are essentially fetch quests, tasking you with finding the required amount of fruit, bugs or fish. They are fairly simple to complete, and an easy activity to get on with while you wait for other timers to tick down.

However, you can only do so many Requests for a particular animal before they become “content” for a period of time.

At this point, you can either wait, or approach them again and ask ‘What do you want?’, where you’ll be offered to spend a Request Ticket. For each ticket you use, you’ll get three more requests while they are still in the area.

You get Request Tickets primarily from Stretch Goals such as the following:

  • Chat with one of the animals visiting a recreation spot

You can also get them elsewhere, such as levelling up your villager. If you have ran out of Request Tickets, then you can spend Leaf Tickets in its place – so be sure to use them sparingly.

It’s worth noting if an animal is in your campsite, then you cannot use a Request Ticket.

Request Ticket And Calling Card

Both Request Ticket and help the player in leveling up the Friendship levels with campers in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. The Request Ticket can be used on an animal, who has had all three request already completed. After using it, the animal will make three more requests and another talk will be available. The ticket itself gives the animal 3 Friendship Points.

Using a Calling Card will call an animal to the player’s current location ” rel=”nofollow”> Campsite or Cabin). The animal will stay at the location for 3 hours, like regularly camping animal. They will also have three requests and a talk as usual. The usage of the Calling Card itself will give the animal 1 Friendship Point.

How To Invite Villagers To The Campsite Using Amiibo

Now that you’ve unlocked the ability to use amiibo cards, it’s time to learn how to scan them in and convince campers to move into your island. You’re going to have to scan a villager’s card multiple days in a row if you want them to become a resident of your island. Here are the steps needed to acquire a new villager using amiibo cards.

  • Interact with the kiosk at Resident Services.
  • Select invite a Camper.

  • Select Yes, I do!
  • Scan the amiibo card you want to use. If you’re playing your Switch in handheld mode, hover the card over the joystick on the right Joy-Con when New Horizons prompts you to use your amiibo. If you’re using the Pro Controller, scan the cards over the Nintendo logo in the top middle of the controller when the game prompts you to use your amiibo.

  • The kiosk will identify the character on the card. Now select Yes!
  • After scanning your card, a cutscene will play, showing the invited camper. When you leave Resident Services, the villager you invited will be at your campsite. Run to your campsite and enter the tent.

  • Talk with the villager a couple of times until they ask you to craft something for them.
  • Agree to their request. They might even give you a new recipe in the processes.

  • This villager will leave your island by the end of the night, so be sure to craft the requested item and give it to the camper before they’re gone.
  • The camper is closer to being persuaded, but they won’t be ready to move in just yet. The following day repeat steps 1 – 9.

  • Special Fruits Bugs And Fishes

After the most recent update, there is an addition of special fruits, bugs, and fishes. When you find these rare items, they will be listed separately. When animals need help with anything, they will have three dots floating above the heads, then try to choose a particular item and give it to them. It will increase the friendship level up to +6.

I Love This Game And Here Are Suggestions

We all know how great this game is. You get to talk to animals, participate in events, buy clothes for your character, and invite animals to your campsite + cabin! Ive been playing for a while and even most of my friends have played it. However, coming from a player, I would really like to see at least an icon of what a player wants to buy from the market place. I think that would be really cool. Right now, my wool stock is really low. I already am doing requests but it isnt helping. It would be cool for my player to show that I need wool so others can sell. It would be even cooler if players can gift other players items! My friends and I would love this! I dont think wed be the only ones honestly. Of course, these items would include clothes or any duplicate furniture that we want to get rid of. In order so this doesnt dominate the purpose of the market place fruits, bugs, and other resources will be limited to the market place. My third suggestion comes from the AC games. I think players would be extremely excited to design their own clothes. However, if everyone could do this freely, the clothes from events and the marketplace would have almost no value. Therefore, we must charge a certain amount of leaves. I hope someone reads this even after the New Horizons release. I know people who do not have access to a Switch will continue playing this game! Thank you for reading.

The Amiibo Figures Vs The Amiibo Cards

Series 1(026 to 050) Animal Crossing Amiibo Card New ...

There are over 400 Animal Crossing amiibo that you can use if you count the 18 NFC figures and the hundreds of Animal Crossing amiibo cards. Both the figures and the cards feature NFC chips and get scanned the same way using your Nintendo Switch. However, in New Horizons, the amiibo cards are more useful since they allow you to invite new villagers to your island. The amiibo figures are fun to collect, but they can only be used to invite the unique characters they depict to photoshoot sessions while you’re on Harvey’s Island.

If you have your heart set on inviting a specific villager to your island, you might want to scour eBay for a particular Animal Crossing amiibo card as many sellers will let you buy them individually. But be warned. Some of the more popular villagers’ amiibo cards are incredibly pricey.

A full list of Animal Crossing amiibo cards can be found on Animal Crossing’s official website.

Right, now that you’re down to this point, you should have an amiibo camper at your campsite right now. That’s great! . Though getting them to stay might not be so easy.

Through a new Android app called JoyCon Droid and some dumped NFC data, we can import amiibo villagers without actually having to own their amiibo. Cheeky? Absolutely. Can you blame me? I’m assuming not.

Complete Requests & Converse With Your Friends

Completing requests from your animal friends raises their relationship level and in turn you gain points from their level up. Talking to your friends also increases their level so make sure you speak to them regularly. Friends being hosted at your campsite will also have a request for you every 30minutes to 1 hour and you can inquire about their day every 30 minutes which will also give you relationship points.

If you run out of requests, dont forget to use your Request Tickets so you can do more quests. However request tickets cant be used at your campsite so if you want someone from your camp to give you requests faster you must remove them from your camp first and then wait for them to go to one of the areas or call them to an area with the call option in your contacts list.

    What Are Sparkle Stones

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp – Calling Card

Sparkle Stones, pretty much like Friendship Powder, is a special commodity used for crafting furniture. Sparkles Stones can only be gained when you increase an animal friends relationship level. All animal friends, at a certain point, will reward you with Sparkle Stones when you raise their relationship level high enough.

    Become The Cotton Dragon

Amenities and furniture are the places where you are going to invest most of your Cotton. There are at least ten or so furniture items that require 120 Cotton. Further, the amenities will cost you no more than 30 Cotton. Everything depends on how you are going to play the game. However, we suggest you do not go for crafting items that require Cotton without a prompt from an animal.

After all, if you want to craft for those 120 Cotton furniture items, then it may take three days or more depending on your gathering capacity. If you are still unable to get enough Cotton to craft the items, then make sure your account is linked to Nintendo. After linking, you will be getting Cotton rewards that you can redeem whenever you want. When you want to come out of this, you have to hoard Cotton just like a Dragon.
