No Nintendo Switch Heres How To Play Animal Crossing On Your Phone For Free
Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is the free mobile game app to get your Tom Nook fix
The thing we enjoy most while staying home during the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic is escaping into another world. Whether its binge-watching Netflix, travelling the world via virtual tours or playing video games, were all doing our best to stay sane and optimistic.
The ever-popular Animal Crossing has blown up over the past couple of months and everyone with a Nintendo Switch is busy building their islands and making new friends in New Horizons. Since theres no real end point to the game, Animal Crossing serves as a wholesome substitute for real life, the perfect escape from these stressful times.
Unfortunately, you do need a Nintendo Switch to play New Horizons. However, if youre interested in dipping your toes into the Animal Crossing world before taking the plunge and purchasing a Switch, try playing the mini-version of the game on your phone.
What a picturesque sky! And flowers, far as the eye can see! Urge…to frolic…increasing!
The free official app Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is a stakes-free introduction to the world of Tom Nook and company. In Pocket Camp, you set up your own campsite with bells and leaf tickets earned from running errands for other Animal campers. Of course, these errands are delightful and fun youll be gardening, picking fruit and fishing for giant tuna.
The splendor of sakura is simply soothing to the soul!
I Love This Game And Here Are Suggestions
We all know how great this game is. You get to talk to animals, participate in events, buy clothes for your character, and invite animals to your campsite + cabin! Ive been playing for a while and even most of my friends have played it. However, coming from a player, I would really like to see at least an icon of what a player wants to buy from the market place. I think that would be really cool. Right now, my wool stock is really low. I already am doing requests but it isnt helping. It would be cool for my player to show that I need wool so others can sell. It would be even cooler if players can gift other players items! My friends and I would love this! I dont think wed be the only ones honestly. Of course, these items would include clothes or any duplicate furniture that we want to get rid of. In order so this doesnt dominate the purpose of the market place fruits, bugs, and other resources will be limited to the market place. My third suggestion comes from the AC games. I think players would be extremely excited to design their own clothes. However, if everyone could do this freely, the clothes from events and the marketplace would have almost no value. Therefore, we must charge a certain amount of leaves. I hope someone reads this even after the New Horizons release. I know people who do not have access to a Switch will continue playing this game! Thank you for reading.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Nooklink What Is It And How Does It Work
The Animal Crossing titles are social games in many ways. They allow players to share and view each other’s creations and are altogether upbeat ways to spend time with others. Nintendo is making it easier for online New Horizons players to customize their villages and communicate with each other by integrating NookLink within the Nintendo Switch Online app for smartphones.
Using this service, players can send messages in-game, import custom designs from two 3DS games, manage multiplayer options, and more. Here’s a breakdown of each of the different features found within NookLink.
Getting The Pro Camera App In Animal Crossing New Horizons
You can start messing around with the Pro Camera App once you have purchased it for 1,500 Nook Miles over at the Nook Miles terminal in Resident Services. Once you have the app installed, your photo-taking experience will be improved for the better.
Instead of the usual top-down perspective, the app brings the camera down to a handheld perspective. Now you can see things at eye level, and there is even a tripod mode that will allow you to get yourself in the picture. More photos, more angles, and more fun for you and your islanders are awaiting thanks to the new addition.
Thats everything you need to know about how to get the Pro Camera App and what it does in Animal Crossing New Horizons 2.0. If you need more help, do visit the Animal Crossing New Horizons guide wiki for more tips and tricks, or check out everything else thats new in the 2.0 update.

You Don’t Have A Switch
As fun as New Horizons looks, one game isn’t enough to shell out big bucks for a Nintendo Switch, assuming you can find one right now. Even if you have the money, getting a Switch is difficult due to increased demand. If you have no plans to buy a Switch, Pocket Camp is a great way to scratch the FOMO itch without breaking the bank.
I’m happy that everyone feels at-home enough to nap though.
No system is required or Pocket Camp — you can download it for free on your mobile device. I play mine on my iPad. As a casual gamer, this is a big draw for me. If you’re watching your budget, this could be a plus as well.
Playing the game on mobile takes out the extra complication of learning controls. Everything in Pocket Camp is just a tap away, so if you’re more of a mobile game player, there’s not much of a learning curve.
What Is Pocket Camp
It’s a free Animal Crossing mobile game for both iOS and Android phones released in late 2017. There are in-game purchases to get a leg up on handy resources, but it’s definitely not necessary to have the full experience. How exactly do you play it without joysticks or A/B/Y/X buttons? Simple: All of those commands are replaced by tapping.

Nooklink App Updated With New Reactions Feature In Animal Crossing: New Horizons Great For Making Videos
As promised last month, the NookLink smartphone app for Animal Crossing: New Horizons has just been updated to add a brand new feature helping make in-game communication easier than before!
The new feature was announced alongside the Fall Halloween Update last month, yet wasnt tied directly to the game update as NookLink is a separate web service inside of the Nintendo Switch Online application. Its now available to enjoy now after a short waiting period though!
Inside of the NookLink app, you can now easily access and use Reactions / Emotes in Animal Crossing: New Horizons without opening up the in-game reactions menu. This integrates into the existing keyboard chat feature that NookLink offers, with Reactions now able to be used right alongside chat.
All of your unlocked Reactions are show on screen in a simple scrollable list with in-game usage as simple as double tapping one of the icons on your phone. Even better, a row of 5 most recently used Reactions sits at the top of the screen allowing for fast access to your favorites.
The timing of this new NookLink feature is timed perfectly with two new Halloween themed reactions added in the Fall Halloween Update Haunt and Scare! These can be unlocked during the upcoming Halloween Event held on October 31st, although its possible to time travel early right now.
Wanna Play Animal Crossing Without A Nintendo Switch Try Pocket Camp
If you still can’t find a Nintendo Switch, you can play the mobile version of the popular game.
Yes, this is my bug-catchin’ dress.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons has become a comfort blanket for Nintendo Switch players during the coronavirus pandemic. The game’s simple tasks, like catching fish and bugs, decorating your island, gardening and collecting fruit — even just stopping by a friend’s island to say hello — are helping many cope with the loss of normalcy. Island life has started bleeding into reality with folks turning their real-life living spaces into makeshift paradises. One of our editors even threw a virtual birthday party in the game.
I’ll admit, a bit of FOMO set in when I saw so many of my friends playing the game, but I don’t know if I could justify buying a Nintendo Switch — especially since the gaming devices are sold out almost everywhere right now. Fortunately, there’s another option — Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp.
Eugene is a pretty cool koala.

All the friends you make can visit your campsite, too.

What’s So Good About It
It’s Animal Crossing, but free! All of the mechanics of the game — fruit collecting, fishing, bug catching, flower tending, crafting, etc. — are there, including interactions with the Nooks, Isabelle, and a laundry list of villagers. You can’t escape loans in Pocket Camp, but you’ll owe your bells to a trio of grease birds working in an auto shop instead of the insidious Nook corporation.
Seasonal events, like fishing tournaments and flower growing, are frequent in Pocket Camp, but, unlike New Horizons‘ current infuriating Bunny Day event, they won’t completely derail your island-hopping routine as you go from the seaside to the fruit forest. You’ll also get opportunities for special items and extra resources via balloons, but instead of taking wild flings with a slingshot, the presents will appear in the corners of your map page just tap to retrieve.
What Is The Animal Crossing: New Horizons Island 101 App
Island Life 101 is a brand new app for your in-game Nook Phone, which is aimed at those who are new to Animal Crossing: New Horizons. It aims to provide tips to ensure full enjoyment of island life, and to let you know exactly what and how much you can do in Animal Crossing.
It’s not really aimed at those who have been playing since March 2020 and will no doubt have plenty of knowledge about enjoying island life to the max.

Great Game Nintendo Know How To Make F2p
All in all it’s great , its animal crossing as for paying actual money to get stuff done without the wait in no way hinders the experience. Anyone who played previous games knows patience is part of the game and that time was used doing fishing bugs other minor tasks. I would like one addition. Apple Watch compatible for telling you how projects are progressing and other pop up notifications, just be a nice touch is all far from required. How mobile apps should be made. Nintendo standard is second to noneEdit people complaining that it’s s cut back dumbed down version aren’t completely wrong, but with that said this is what it was meant to be , it’s a app to welcome newcomers and to have short blasts, I know I’ve go no interest in sinking over 500hrs into a mobile app like I did new leaf , it’s a different market , nintendo won’t release actual games on mobile platforms because that’s why the console is there, mobile is its own thing and they are making fun apps to reel in new fans and still make a decent game out of their popular ip’s , original content. And compared with most free to play games it’s not long until you can’t proceed and constant 3rd party adverts, so far nintendo hasn’t forced either
