Every Free Gift You Get Carries A Terrible Inescapable Curse
For a faraway island with limited resources, Animal Crossing sure does offer you a lot of free stuff. But what if those items come at a terrible cost?
Of course, no one can prove a direct correlation between present acceptance and bad in-game luck. Still, it does seem like once you’re handed an awesome addition for your house a record player, a neon sign, a tasteful bidet, etc. your resource collecting goes straight to shit. It’s sort of a Monkey’s Paw situation.
Misleading Tweet About Server Transfers
This is what Amazon said: In a tweet about New Worlds server transfers, a user asked on September 28th whether one could switch from the US to EU servers.
The official New World Twitter account replied, Yes, you can move between regions if you want.
Yes, you can move between regions if you want.
Shortly after the server transfer rules were published, there was another FAQ post on the official forum. There it says: Transfers are only possible in your region. Each region has a separate database and it is not possible to assign characters to a new region. You can also find this statement in our article on server transfers.
The curious thing: Actually, that was exactly what was already clear. Shortly after the tweet was published, which promised you could play in other regions, the statement was corrected in the forum by Customer Service Camulos.
It was already stated there that there was no system for changing regions.
Cook Eat: Twice Baked Sweetcorn And Bacon Potatoes Recipe
Vegetable prices here in New Zealand are absolutely ridiculous this summer. If mortgaging your house to keep up a steady supply of the green gold aka, avocados is not your jam, then youll be looking to purchase in-season produce whose price point reflects the fact that its IN SEASON lol.
And that brings us to corn.
I cant think of anyone I know who doesnt love fresh, kiwi grown sweetcorn. Its the perfect summer vege, it stays fresh in its husk in the fridge, travels well and can be enjoyed in a variety of ways.
After travelling in Japan for 2 weeks, we had been missing our kiwi fruit and vegetables like crazy so every meal at the moment revolves around salad and veges. Last night I whipped up some Twice Baked Sweetcorn and Bacon Potatoes using fresh as, LeaderBrand sweetcorn and spinach. Weve got a winner here folks, these corn taties and variations on them will be a menu regular in our house from now on. Sub the bacon for a hearty Meat Free Monday Meal, or switch your protein and dice up some leftover bbq sausages etc. This is a super easy recipe to get creative with and prep early so youre not rushing at dinner time.
I wish I could take credit for this amazing recipe but I cant lol. For more yummy, fresh ways to eat NZ sweetcorn, check out the recipes section over at www.leaderbrand.co.nz

In Wild World And City Folk
Mom mails a letter during the festival.
Both Wild World and City Folk do not celebrate the Cherry Blossom Festival instead, there is an informal Cherry Blossom Season in which all trees aside from evergreens and those that bear fruit have their leaves replaced by pink cherry blossom petals. This season continues through the duration of the Flower Fest.
Complete Your Sea Creature Collection
Though bugs and fish were present since the launch of New Horizons, sea creatures obtained via ocean swimming and diving weren’t added until a later update. Fans were delighted to have this feature back, as it debuted in New Leaf but wasn’t included in New Horizons at launch.
This new category of collectible means there’s even more exhibits in the museum for players to fill, prompting them to collect each and every creature to keep their museum looking perfect.

Animal Crossing: What To Do After You’ve Finished Everything
Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been out for nearly a year, and players may be finding less and less to do in their personal island towns.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been out for almost a year, and many players have not only found all currently available collectable items and DIY recipes, but finished the museum, upgraded their homes, and attained the perfect balance of villagers. With island homes that have achieved such a level of completion in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, fans of the game might be wondering what they’ll be able to accomplish next, or if they have truly reached the perceived end of their own personal save file.
There are several things that players can do when they feel they have accomplished all there is to do in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Getting ready for the upcoming events can provide players with new tasks to accomplish. Currently, players are preparing for Animal Crossing’s February event Festivale. Now might be the time to take down winter decorations and start putting out colorful furniture to help brighten the island in time for the upcoming event. After Festivale, it appears that there will also be a new event in March centered around a crossover between Animal Crossing and Super Mario.
Tons Of New Customizations And Decorations
Version 2.0 is the last major content update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, but at least Nintendo isnt skimping on what it will include. The new items will decorate both the interior and exterior, including nine new fences and an increase in the cap on bridges and inclines. Inside, players can put up accent walls. Storage will also expand, to accommodate the new options.

Legendary Gear Is Also Available Through Drops
How does the system affect legendary items? Those who want the strongest equipment in New World will sooner or later work on legendary equipment. Here too, knowledge of the loot system now plays an important role.
You can get the 133 legendary weapons in various ways, such as crafting or quests. But many of them can also be obtained as drops from mobs or via boxes.
So if you want to increase the chance of legendary equipment by dropping it, you must already have a high equipment value that has dropped. This is where farming high-level enemies and bosses seem to be most effective.
What else did the developer reveal? In the video, DrLupo also shows a statement about the Azoth staff. Level 5 of this should be fixed with the next patch.
New Horizons’ Version 20 Update And Happy Home Paradise Dlc Will Be The Game’s Final Major Content Updates
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is not only getting a free version 2.0 update that brings with it the arrival of Brewster and his coffee shop The Roost, Gyroids, island ordinances, and cooking, but it is also receiving a paid DLC called Happy Home Paradise that will let you design villager’s dream homes on a brand new archipelago.
Announced in an Animal Crossing Direct, both of these DLCs will be available on November 5, 2021, and Happy Home Paradise! will cost $24.99 USD. However, it will be included at no extra cost for those who are subscribed to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack.
Express Yourself Everywhere With Outdoor Furniture
One of the most important parts of every Animal Crossing game is your home. As you play through the game, you slowly pay off loans to Tom Nook that can lead to housing expansions like bigger rooms, new rooms or even extra floors to your house. The more space available in your home, the more space you have to show off fun furniture or funky decorations. You were never able to place any of these fun items anywhere outside of your home, though, but Animal Crossing: New Horizons changes that with one of the biggest new features of all.
For the first time, you can place any and all furniture or display items outside of your home. This lets you easily set up a cute porch or backyard near your house, but you aren’t limited to the perimeter of your home. Want to set up a zen garden on the cliff, or a star-viewing bench near the beach? You can place anything you want, anywhere you want, so go nuts.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Free Version 20 Update Adds Brewster And The Roost Gyroids And Other Fan
As previously mentioned, Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ version 2.0 update will see the long-awaited arrival of Brewster and his coffee shop The Roost. This new shop is part of the museum and will let players enjoy fresh-brewed coffee alone or with some friends. The villagers on your island will come to the shop as well, and you can invite specific villagers via amiibo cards or figures.
Long-time fans of Animal Crossing will be happy to know that Brewster isn’t the only returning villager who is part of this update, as it will also see such others as Kapp’n, Katrina, Tortimer, Harriet, Wardell, and more make their way to New Horizons.
Have you played Animal Crossing: New Horizons?
Kapp’n and his beautiful voice will invite you on his boat for a journey to various new and mysterious islands that only he knows of. Each could have a different season, time of day, or weather than your own island, and many will have “mysterious flora” and other surprises.
As for the other villagers, these wonderful animals will be found on Harv’s Island, which is also getting a big upgrade. His island will be the home to a new plaza that features all sorts of shops waiting to be built with the right amount of Bells. Once built, familiar merchants like Sahara, Kicks, Reese, and Cyrus will open up a new place to do business alongside returning favorites like Katrina and her fortune shop, Harriet and her hair-styling shop , and Tortimer and his storage solution.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ Version 20 Will Be The Game’s Final Major Free Update
Nintendo has confirmed that the game’s upcoming Version 2.0 update, arriving on 5th November, will be the game’s final major free content update.
As you might expect from that ‘Version 2’ name, plenty of new content is arriving in this final bump. There was almost too much to mention, but here’s a rundown of the key additions:
Brewster Will Open a Café: Something new is coming to a corner of the museum. The quiet proprietor Brewster will open the Roost after you fulfill a certain favor for museum director Blathers. The Roost is a new location to take a relaxing break in and enjoy some hand-selected coffee. You may run into some island residents here, too. If you use the amiibo phone inside the café, you can invite other characters to join you by using compatible amiibo cards. If youd like, you can even invite friends*** to your island and bring them to the Roost to enjoy relaxing cups of joe together.
Take a Boat Tour With Kappn: Kappn hangs out at the pier and will take you to one of the remote islands on his boat. The sea shanty he serenades you with along the way is also part of the fun! You may arrive at islands with mysterious flora thats never been seen before, or islands with different seasons and times of day. What kind of mysteries await?
Unearth Gyroids: So far, fossils could be dug up from the ground, and now you can also find gyroids. Each gyroid plays unique sounds. You can even customize them to match their surroundings when you place them!

Where Is The River Clifftop And How Do You Catch A Stringfish There
The river clifftop is any elevated part of the river in the north of the island.
Accessing this requires you have unlocked the Ladder, a tool which allows you to climb up the cliffs.
The clifftop area features the source of the river and several waterfalls, but as long as your fishing within this elevated river the Stringfish can appear after 4pm.
The Stringfish is a large fish, making it easy to distinguish compared to other types. If you can’t see any appearing, run away from the river and back toward it to ‘refresh’ what appears there.
If nothing is showing up, remember you use fish bait to force a fish to spawn at your location.
Alternatively, a tactic is visiting a Mystery Island which has a clifftop river. These are rare, so may take a few visits before you find one, but the benefit is Mystery Islands will see increased fish spawns compared to your island.
You can then promote the spawning of fish in specific locations by scaring away the fish elsewhere in the river by throwing in your lure, then removing it just as they’re about to bite.
If you start at the river clifftop, then work down the river to the sea, scaring the fish as you go, when you return to the clifftop a fish should have spawned back where you started. It’s obviously not guaranteed to be a Stringfish, but saves you crafting and burning through loads of fish bait on your own island.
Ideal Solutions But Not Likely To Happen
The ideas listed above would all be a great way to give some players the freedom to do as they like in New Horizons, but the odds of seeing any real change are slim to none. Nintendo is and always has been extremely controlling of how its games are designed, and if the one player per console limit has not been changed by this point, the odds of something like a soft reset are not likely to occur either.
In the end, these limitations should be considered within the oddity that is 2020. During the years of development leading up to the release of New Horizons, no one would have guessed that a pandemic would shut everyone inside and allow people to binge through their new favorite game, and it would be hard to argue for Nintendo to adjust its design philosophy over this remaining the norm for the long term.
As our lives slowly return to normal and the pandemic is controlled, the majority of players will also return to their daily lives, and the gradual release of content in New Horizons will probably be more than sufficient to retain player interest for the long term. For now, players who are bored with the game because they have binged through everything might simply need to look to a new game, as Nintendo is not likely to change course any time soon.

What Are The Negatives
Theres undoubtedly a lot to love about Animal Crossing but, as with most games, its not perfect. When first booting up the game, the pacing can feel a little slow. It takes real-life time for things to happen on your childs island and, for the first few days, they might feel like theyve run out of things to do. Not to worry though once theyve gotten over the initial hump, the possibilities are endless.
You can also only create one save game per console, which might cause trouble if you have several children sharing a Switch. Although you can have many different users on the Switch, the game only allows you to create one island across the board and there are no resets. Its a shame, really, as each island layout has different natural resources and fauna to explore, so it might cause friction between siblings who have differing views of what the perfect island paradise looks like.
