Why Ask What Animal Am I
Personality quizzes have been around since the 1920s and were originally designed to help businesses select personnel for the US military. In 1995, Roy Feinson published the bestselling book, The Animal in You , based on the hypothesis that humans adopt a set of behavioral and personality traits to allow them to function in their particular environments. The book spawned a sequel, Animal Attraction, and popular books by other authors like, The Experiment of Professor Polgas The fact is, humans are just like animals albeit with much larger brains and animals are just like people in that they exhibit virtually the same range of emotions. So asking what animal am I is a natural extension of asking yourself who am I? the most basic question known to man.
Take the Test
The Rooster: Snooty But Progressive
There is one simple word that completely describes those under the Rooster Zodiac, extravagant. The Rooster loves to be the center of attention and will do whatever it takes to get there. People who fall under this Zodiac tend to be very in tune with pop culture, fashion, and anything related to stardom. Theyre progressive, forward-thinking, and unique individuals who have a lot in common with those of the Snooty Personality type in ACNH.
The only thing different about these wonderful Snooty villagers is that theyre a bit more negative than most other personality types, which is surprising. They insult other villagers and the player character relatively often in the beginning before they open up to them. And, of course, theyre all about those overly expensive items.

The Dragon: Sisterly And In Control
Sisterly villagers act more like moms or big sisters than just plain old “sisters”. They’re natural-born leaders and show no hesitation about offering medicine or other items to the player character if need be. Like Dragons, they are wise beyond their years and succeed easily on their own. They sort of live in their own world and usually stay up late into the night working on whatever they’re currently focused on. Sisterly villagers are best for players just starting out as they like to give out items and help out the player. Like a Dragon, they feel like perfect role models that just seem to innate succeed at whatever they work towards.

Kk Slider Slider Is Based On Animal Crossing’s Composer
Something you might be surprised to learn is that the inspiration for K.K. Slider, Animal Crossing’s resident canine musician, comes from the game’s musical composer Kazumi Totaka. Obviously, Kazumi Totaka is not a canine, but the game’s creator intended for K.K. Slider’s looks and musical interests to be based on the talented and prolific Japanese composer. Kazumi even did voice acting work for the game. K.K. Slider’s name is also inspired by Kazumi Totaka. In the Japanese version of the game, the character is Totakeke, which is directly derived from Totaka. Kazumi Totaka has composed music for other well-known Nintendo games, including Super Mario, Wii Sports, Luigi’s Mansion, and Super Smash Bros.

The Pig: Lazy And Lax
In a similar fashion to Cranky villagers, ones labeled as “Lazy” aren’t necessarily all bad. Quite frankly, a better label for them would be “Relaxed” villagers as they still get quite a lot done in a day, but they do it calmly. Lazy villagers are calm, mild-mannered, and just there to have a good time, which is perfect for the Pig Zodiac. Those born in the Year of the Pig are known to be responsible, cool under pressure, a bit slow to get started, and helpful. Pigs don’t really look for help for themselves, but they’ll help others out no problem. Lazy villagers in ACNH get along with any of the personality types that aren’t too high strung or energetic, and they’re perfect villagers for people who don’t want to micromanage their islands inhabitants too much.

The Tiger: Smug But Flirtatious
Finally, there is the Tiger. Out of all the Zodiacs, this is the one that shares the same descriptors on most sources, and these descriptors usually have something to do with terms like confidence, brave, snarky, and charming. Those born under the year of the Tiger are people who usually express themselves in ways different from the norm, and theyre fine with that. They dont go back on their word and they dont mind seeming over-confident or too into themselves. And, of course, Smug villagers are mostly the same. Theyre a mix of multiple personality types like Peppy and Normal, but the most outstanding trait they show is that same overconfidence that got them the Smug identifier. These villagers are really the only ones that get a bit flirty as well, which just feels so weird in a game so G-Rated. Still, the shared overconfidence means that these Smug inhabitants were only ever going to align with the Tiger Zodiac.

Personality Changes The Way Villagers Talk
You can tell what personality type your villagers have by the topics they talk about. For example, Jock personality villagers always talk about working out and Lazy villagers always talk about food.
In Japanese, there are many way to say “I” . The pronoun they use for themselves changes according to their personality in Japanese.
For example, a female peppy personality villager will call herself “Atai ” whereas a female snooty personality villager will call herself “Atashi “. A female who calls herself “Atai” sounds old fashioned & a bit crude. Although not a one-to-one comparison, it is somewhat similar to the different nuance between Northern US vs Southern US English accent.
Chow using the very masculine pronoun “Ore” to show off his “cranky” personality.
