Can You Buy The Happy Home Paradise Dlc Separately

Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer Review

Nintendo also offers the Happy Home Paradise DLC separately from the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack service, but not in the way you might think. As part of the Direct, it was revealed youâll be able to purchase the DLC âstandaloneâ for $25, but this doesnât mean you can forego having the base game. Instead, this phrasing simply means you can purchase Happy Home Paradise without having a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership.

If youâre only interested in the Animal Crossing DLC, itâs recommended to buy it separately since itâs less expensive than the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Happy Home Paradise DLC launches on November 5, 2021.

What Is Happy Home Paradise

Happy Home Paradise is a paid DLC package for Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Players must own a copy of the base game on Nintendo Switch to play this DLC. The Happy Home Paradise DLC has players working as a resort developer to design the perfect vacation homes. Players will fly to “work” via the Dodo Airlines, where they will connect with Lottie’s Paradise Planning. From there, you will meet with clients and work together to coordinate dream vacation homes from the inside out.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Happy Home Paradise Paid Expansion On The Way

New Horizons is getting a paid expansion called Happy Home Paradise on November 5 for $25.

As part of the Animal Crossing Direct, Nintendo announced the first paid expansion for Animal Crossing: New Horizons called Happy Home Paradise. It appears to be a new spin on the 3DS game Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer. Like that game, Happy Home Paradise lets players design homes for characters.

The $25 expansion launches on November 5, with preorders opening on October 29. It’s also included with a Nintendo Switch Online membership through the new expansion pack offering. Should you stop paying for the Expansion Pack, you will keep your items, though the archipelago itself will not be accessible anymore.

Taking place on a different island, not your own, the expansion calls on players to build new homes for villagers. You can select which island to build their vacation home on, and there are multiple seasons and weather elements depending on what you think the villager might want.

Players can select the wallpaper, mood lighting, and the outside design with things like fences and trees. Check out the detailed video above to learn lots more about Happy Home Paradise.

A Happy Home Network app is coming to the NookPhone, too, where players can post photos of their vacation homes and look at creations from other Animal Crossing players.

When Will You Be Evaluated By The Happy Home Academy In Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Happy Home Evaluations occur at 5am on a Sunday morning, which is the reset time for every island in New Horizons.

This means that when you boot up New Horizons on a Sunday morning, or any time after 5am on that day, you’ll receive your new ranking, including any prizes you might have won, from the Happy Home Evaluation.

If your score hasn’t changed from the previous week, then you will not receive a letter from the Happy Home Academy.

It also gives you a full week to craft new furniture, buy new rugs from Saharah or art from Redd and experiment with new room layouts, before being evaluated again.

You will also receive letters and gifts from the Happy Home Academy when you upgrade your house.

Happy Home Academy In Animal Crossing: New Horizons Explained

The Happy Home Academy is a long running institution in the Animal Crossing series that is dedicated to evaluating your interior design skills and, if your house meets their standards, then you’ll be rewarded.

Once Tom Nook has built you a house, the Happy Home Academy will evaluate it every week and provide you with a score that reflects your design choices. They might even include a little bit of advice to help your home blossom.

This may sound simple, but, if you’ve played a previous instalment in the Animal Crossing series, you’ll know that the Happy Home Academy has a range of criteria, which all affect your point score.

From simple decisions, like your choice of furniture, to the more complex ones, like the Feng Shui of your home, these are all things that the Happy Home Academy takes into consideration and the bigger your house becomes, the more points you can earn.

Happy Home Paradise: What Can Players Do

This expansion puts your villager to work designing ideal homes for Animal Crossing NPCs. They give you the details, and then you make it happen. It’s like if House Hunters and Million Dollar Decorators had a baby, and they were catering to anthropomorphic animals!

Players will meet with each client to get their specific wants and needs, and that’s where the fun begins. Select different islands, seasons, times of day, and build your client’s ideal home. You’ll have control of both the interior and exterior of the home. Furniture and other building materials will be readily available, and you can set to work.

You will be able to use the property like modeling clay to create whatever you desire. Even the lighting and ambient noise can be adjusted. It’s a blank canvas for you to make your client happy.

The Happy Home Handbook

Available from Day 9 onward, the Happy Home Handbook contains a set of design lessons purchasable with Play Coins. Each lesson unlocks something for you to use, such as new item sets for decoration or additional interactivity with existing features .

There are 14 lessons in all and you will need a sum total of 31 Play Coins to unlock them all. But even if you get them all before you start spending, you can only learn one lesson per day, so you’re still going to have to actually play the game to complete the Handbook rather than buy them all up in one go. Further, some lessons don’t become available until you’ve learned the relevant prerequisite lesson. For instance, you won’t see ‘Even More Designs’ on your list until you’ve learned ‘Custom Designs’ first.

Happy Home Paradise: Building Your Paradise Made Easy

Nintendo 3DS Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer Game

If building customized homes for clients wasn’t enough, then listen to this perk quick construction. Yes, you can quickly build and move things around with ease, unlike before! The building tools are made easy, both inside and out. Players can place furniture, change perspectives in the building tool, and more. Plus, you can use the building mode outside the home. This makes building paths, adding trees, and setting up your home a breeze!

What’s more, is that you can take these skills with you off the clock! More on that later.

From there, you can build and expand homes in new ways. You can add divider walls, pillars, and paint singular sections of walls for stylish accents. This can help change the structure of these homes. You can also alter the lighting and add soundscapes to really make each home unique. Finally, you can polish your furniture to give it that little extra shine.

Of course, clients aren’t just one and done. You can revisit clients and update their living space with new furniture. You can also recommend that they share a vacation home!

Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer Review Sweet But Empty

Nintendos domestic design sim is as cute as youd expect, but although the lights are on, theres nobody home

In life, there are things you just know you shouldnt do. Never eat the yellow snow. Never trust anyone who is rude to waiters. Never take on one last job before retirement. And, of course, the golden rule: never, ever go on Grand Designs if you dont really know what you want, where you want it and whether or not you have the budget to build it anyway.

Grand Designs is a show in which Kevin McCloud joins a series of couples as their ambitious home-building plans are crushed beneath the caterpillar tracks of fortune. Every single episode follows the same plot. A happy couple describes their perfect house, Kevin raises his eyebrows, then they embark on the project anyway. A year passes then we see the couple, now a shadow of their former selves, squatting in a concrete house-shell, taking it in turns to wash themselves in a stagnant puddle. For some reason, they always decide to have a baby at this point. Then Kevin says: I told you so. This makes for entertaining viewing.

Im talking about Grand Designs for two reasons. The first is because it delivers excellent schadenfreude. The second is that I am reviewing Happy Home Designer, a game in which you design homes for idiots. See the parallels?

With the passing of time , your responsibilities increase. One day youll get to choose wall decorations the next, you can design the entire garden.

What Is The Happy Home Network App

This app can capture your amazing designs and build a portfolio of your work. By clicking on the app via your Nook Phone, you can check on your clients at any time, and then use this to show off your designs with others online. With Nintendo Switch Online, you can share your designs and see what other players are doing too. If you see something you like, you can follow designers and see what they do next.

Why Fans Were Split On Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer

Released in 2015, Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer was a spinoff that placed a much bigger emphasis on interior decorating than the series’ most recent main entry at the time, Animal Crossing: New Leaf. In it, players are employed by Tom Nook to design themed homes for various characters. The more homes they design, the more items the player unlocks to make even more homes. With a focus solely on designing, many of the daily tasks and activities from previous Animal Crossing games were left out.

The general consensus from critics was that, while Happy Home Designer was as charming and creative as the main series, the loss the social simulation elements that define mainline Animal Crossing games made the overall experience less fulfilling. Gamespot’s review even said Happy Home Designer “would have been amazing DLC for New Leaf.” Despite the mixed reception, the game still sold well and had its fans.
