Animal Crossing: New Horizons had a wildly successful launch last year, and even made its way up the list to become the second best-selling Nintendo Switch game of all time. This is what you should do every day in Animal Crossing: New Horizons:
Dont forget the rocks!
- Hit all the rocks with your Shovel
- Dig up all the fossils
- Sink the shovel into the shiny area on the ground
- Access the Nook Terminal to get a daily bonus of Nook Miles.
- Check the recycling box for free items
- Check the price of Turnips in MiniNook
- Visit the MiniNook stores and the Nook Terminal to see what is on sale today
- Complete all five Nook Miles + activities
- Hit each tree with a flimsy or stone ax to get three wood materials per tree
- Shake each tree for free furniture, but watch out for hornets nests
- Water the plants if its not raining
There are tons of things to do! Obviously you do not have to complete them all, but this way you will have an idea of the elements that change daily on the island to prioritize.

Flick will buy bugs from you for 150% their market value during both his random visits and Bug Offs. For example, instead of the usual 8,000 bells you can get for tarantulas, Flick will give you 12,000 bells. Those annoying water bugs currently ruining tarantula farming for everyone? 3,000 bells instead of the usual 2,000. Even for the less rare bugs, like butterflies or locusts, the bells can add up if you save your catches for Flicks visit, so it can be worth the time it takes waiting around for him to arrive.

5 a.m. may be the most eventful time in New Horizons, but other hours throughout the day are also good to keep in mind. Here are some you should remember.
- Once you have the expanded Nook’s Cranny store, it will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day. You can sell items at the box outside the store 24 hours a day.
- If the Able Sisters clothing store is on your island, you can shop there between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.
- You can obtain up to three DIY recipes by visiting your neighbors in their houses each day. You can get one each between the hours of 6 a.m. to noon, noon to 6 p.m., and 6 p.m. to midnight.
Seasonal celebrations like Turkey Day, Halloween, and fishing tournaments have different start and end times. Tom Nook or Isabelle will give you this information during their daily announcement.
How Do You Speed Up Time In Animal Crossing
The game must be off. Now go to the Switch system settings using the Cog icon on the home screen. In the settings menu, select System. In the System menu theres an option for the Date and Time turn off the setting that syncs the clock up with the internet and change the date and time as desired.

You can combine the above cheat with the Time Travel Money Tree cheat to make a total of 396,000 bells in one trip! Here’s how you do it. It requires you to already have at least 99,000 Bells. Remember to make sure your clock is not synced to the internet.
- Set your clock to the year 2000
- Put 99,000 Bells in your Pocket
- Find the glowing spot, dig it up but do not close it!
- Bury 99,000 Bells into the hole .
- Save and exit. Close the software completely.
- Change your clock to the year 2060 same date .
- Head for your tree and get 3 bags with 99K bells each plus some 99K of interest! .
The big drawback to this hack, compared to the interest one, is it’s easier to make an error. And because you can’t use the same date it could become a lot to keep track of. Lastly, sometimes it takes a few minutes to find the glowing spot, go to the bank, etc.
