The Season Ends Next Day At : 59 Am
Even though the dates change at 12 AM, a new day in Animal Crossing doesn’t actually start until 5 AM, which means everything available on that day will still be available until 4:59 AM, just before the daily island-wide broadcast is made.
For example, in the Northern Hemisphere, summer ends on August 31, so Summer Shells will also be gone. However, it will still be summer, and Summer Shells can still appear on your island until Septemeber 1 4:59 AM, as long as the new day hasn’t started yet.
Seasonal Events & Festivals
Each season will also bring about events and festivals. These include fishing tournaments, bug-catching contests, as well as even Easter egg hunting, Halloween Trick-or-Treating, and more!
Different Seasonal DIY Recipes
There are different DIY recipes that players can get per season. Every recipe provides unique seasonal furniture that can only be crafted by using materials gathered each season!
In Wild World And City Folk
Mom mails a letter during the festival.
Both Wild World and City Folk do not celebrate the Cherry Blossom Festival instead, there is an informal Cherry Blossom Season in which all trees aside from evergreens and those that bear fruit have their leaves replaced by pink cherry blossom petals. This season continues through the duration of the Flower Fest.

Northern And Southern Hemispheres In Animal Crossing: New Horizons Explained
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is the first game in the series to let you decide which hemisphere your island is located.
Your choice of hemisphere will determine when you experience each season in accordance to when these seasons occur on the real world hemispheres.
If you pick the southern hemisphere, for example, then you’ll experience winter throughout June, July and August, just like the southern hemisphere in the real world.
You make your choice of hemisphere at the beginning of the game when you’re choosing the island you wish to move to.
When Animal Crossing: New Horizons Seasons Change
Animal Crossing: New Horizons has four seasons, each with its own special events, and soon the seasons will shift depending on player hemispheres.
The change of seasons is getting closer for Animal Crossing: New Horizons players. New Horizons offers four distinct seasons to spice up gameplay in island towns. Fans can enjoy hot summers on the beach, brightly colored autumn leaves, piles of Winter snow, and budding Spring trees depending on the hemisphere and time of year a player’s Nintendo Switch is set to. With these seasonal changes, Animal Crossing players can also start looking forward to new seasonal events, which could be exciting for those who have found the recent events lacking in content.
Right now, players in the Northern Hemisphere who are set to the current date are nearing the end of Summer, while players in the Southern Hemisphere are just finishing Winter. While Animal Crossing: New Horizons players can time travel to a desired season at any time by changing the date of their Nintendo Switch, this doesn’t mean they will have access to all the content available at that time of year. Nintendo releases most season-specific content and events in special updates shortly before the event is meant to occur. This means players can enjoy the seasonal weather early, but getting a sneak peek at most of Animal Crossing’s upcoming 2021 events isn’t possible.

During this time, the music of the island will change to a more festive tune for the duration of the event, and C.J. will appear in your Plaza along with a large cooler. Your villagers will also get into the spirit by setting up spots to fish all over the island .
You can compete throughout the day until the clock strikes 6PM you will not be interrupted if this happens during a round. Once it’s past 6PM, you can still sell any remaining fish in the cooler to CJ and trade in your points for items. However you won’t be able to sell any fish not in the cooler to CJ if it’s past 6PM.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Free Version 20 Update Adds Brewster And The Roost Gyroids And Other Fan
As previously mentioned, Animal Crossing: New Horizons version 2.0 update will see the long-awaited arrival of Brewster and his coffee shop The Roost. This new shop is part of the museum and will let players enjoy fresh-brewed coffee alone or with some friends. The villagers on your island will come to the shop as well, and you can invite specific villagers via amiibo cards or figures.
Long-time fans of Animal Crossing will be happy to know that Brewster isnt the only returning villager who is part of this update, as it will also see such others as Kappn, Katrina, Tortimer, Harriet, Wardell, and more make their way to New Horizons.
Have you played Animal Crossing: New Horizons?
Kappn and his beautiful voice will invite you on his boat for a journey to various new and mysterious islands that only he knows of. Each could have a different season, time of day, or weather than your own island, and many will have mysterious flora and other surprises.
As for the other villagers, these wonderful animals will be found on Harvs Island, which is also getting a big upgrade. His island will be the home to a new plaza that features all sorts of shops waiting to be built with the right amount of Bells. Once built, familiar merchants like Sahara, Kicks, Reese, and Cyrus will open up a new place to do business alongside returning favorites like Katrina and her fortune shop, Harriet and her hair-styling shop , and Tortimer and his storage solution.
Does Animal Crossing: New Horizons End
Depending on how far along you are in your Animal Crossing: New Horizons game, theres a good chance that youve already seen the end credits. The games credits start to roll as soon as you attend K.K. Sliders first concert on your island . But anyone who puts the game away after that concert is missing out on the bulk of the games playtime.
After the concert, you unlock the terraforming abilities, which takes your island to the next level quite literally, in many cases. Obviously, seeing the games credits doesnt in any way indicate that the game is over. There are already people who have put 800+ hours into their Animal Crossing island! Rest assured, theres plenty left for you to do.
By design, Animal Crossing games have no built-in ending. You could still boot up your old GameCube and play the original Animal Crossing game . There are plenty of people who are still playing Animal Crossing: New Leaf on their Nintendo 3DS, even though the game is nearly seven years old. And Pocket Camp is still a thing, too!
Given Animal Crossing: New Horizons incredibly successful sales and cultural impact, Nintendo will in all likelihood continue to release new content for Animal Crossing: New Horizons for quite a while. Theyve already confirmed that theyll continue rolling out new content via intermittent updates as theyve already done with the May Day and Museum Day events, as well as things like cherry blossom season and the arrivals of Leif and Redd.

How Often Can You Build A Snowman In Animal Crossing
It is only possible to build two snowmen per day on such a day. It does not need to actually be snowing to build a snowman just a snow-covered ground is sufficient. You an make a snowman using two snowballs. There will conveniently be two snowballs somewhere in your town on a winter day.
Snow is a winter-specific weather form. The first snow can appear in late November, as early as the 25th, and can begin to stick to the ground on December 10th. White snow on the grass melts just before the end of February.
When the ground is white with snow in your Animal Crossing: Wild World town, you will be able to find two snowballs in town. They are in random places on snowy ground . They will usually just be sitting there, but sometimes there will be a dung beetle trying to roll the snowball away.
Ideal Solutions But Not Likely To Happen
The ideas listed above would all be a great way to give some players the freedom to do as they like in New Horizons, but the odds of seeing any real change are slim to none. Nintendo is and always has been extremely controlling of how its games are designed, and if the one player per console limit has not been changed by this point, the odds of something like a soft reset are not likely to occur either.
In the end, these limitations should be considered within the oddity that is 2020. During the years of development leading up to the release of New Horizons, no one would have guessed that a pandemic would shut everyone inside and allow people to binge through their new favorite game, and it would be hard to argue for Nintendo to adjust its design philosophy over this remaining the norm for the long term.
As our lives slowly return to normal and the pandemic is controlled, the majority of players will also return to their daily lives, and the gradual release of content in New Horizons will probably be more than sufficient to retain player interest for the long term. For now, players who are bored with the game because they have binged through everything might simply need to look to a new game, as Nintendo is not likely to change course any time soon.

Why Should You Watch For Shooting Stars In Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Aside from being pretty, there’s an excellent reason to watch the meteor showers:Star Fragments. By wishing on a shooting star , you can make sure those meteors land on your island. When you wake up the next day, you will find Star Fragments washed up on the shore, just like seashells. Depending on how many shooting stars you wished upon, you can find a lot of these Star Fragments. They come in multiple different varieties and are a rare crafting material. Since this is the only way to get Star Fragments and meteor showers are relatively uncommon, you’ll want to make the most of the nights when you have the chance. During any meteor shower, you can earn several normal Star Fragments and a couple Large Star Fragments.
You can also earn a few Zodiac Fragments based on the date of the shower itself:
- Aquarius Fragment: January 20 until February 18
- Pisces Fragment: Feb 19 until March 20
- Aries Fragment: March 21 until April 19
- Taurus Fragment: April 20 until May 20
- Gemini Fragment: May 21 until June 20
- Cancer Fragment: June 21 until July 22
- Leo Fragment: July 23 until August 22
- Virgo Fragment: August 23 until September 22
- Libra Fragment: September 23 until October 22
- Scorpio Fragment: October 23 until November 21
- Sagittarius Fragment: November 22 until December 21
- Capricorn Fragment: December 22 until January 19
