Animal Crossing Bunny Day Event Guide

ð? BEST Bunny Day Guide for Animal Crossing New Horizons!

Its that time of year again in the world of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Bunny Day is once again upon us, and its time to keep an eye out for eggs! Although last year was a struggle for most, this year is shaping up to be a good event. There were a few kinks in this event last year that left players dragging. However, Nintendo took note of everything players said and have made adjustments.

The event will give you a chance to track down Zipper T. Bunny, a mysterious person who leaves eggs everywhere and definitely does not wear a costume. Youll be tasked with hunting eggs throughout your island, which can be used for crafting event-exclusive do-it-yourselfs . There are five varieties of eggs youll need to track down to make all the decorations your island could want. To get the most out of this event, we have a few tips, tricks, and ideas on how to collect all the egg furniture thats available.

How To Find Wood Eggs In Animal Crossing

Find wood eggs the same way that you gather Wood, Softwood, and Hardwood crafting materials by hitting trees!

Just equip a Flimsy Axe, Stone Axe, or Axe tool and when you hit the tree you will get anywhere from no eggs at all to three of them. One interesting fact to note is that coconut trees appear to have a higher drop rate so chop one of those when you see one!

How To Start Bunny Day

Find out how to kick off the Bunny Day event in Animal Crossing: New Horizons on the Nintendo Switch.

Bunny Day is the first seasonal event to hit Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and it sees the return to Zipper T. Bunny. Unlike previous Bunny Day events, which usually only lasted one day, New Horizons actually has a weeklong event leading up to the actual day. You also wont be able to time travel to this date, and those playing around with time, or playing offline will need to jump through a couple of hoops to kick things off. Heres everything you need to know to start Bunny Day.

Bunny Day Made Many Players Sick Of Eggs Real Quick

To the chagrin of many fans, Bunny Day was the first major seasonal event introduced in New Horizons in April. This involved eggs appearing from nowhere the player could fish them out of the water, dig them out of the ground, and even pop out of trees after shaking them or attempting to chop wood.

Due to player feedback, the developers were forced to create a new update that reduced the number of eggs that appeared rather than increased it. Furthermore, many players despised or were terrified of Zipper T. Bunny, most likely due to the actual zipper displayed on his back.

Why Haven’t I Seen Zipper T Bunny

Animal Crossing New Horizons Bunny Day Is an Epic Fail ...

If you weren’t playing on April 1, you might have missed the big yellow bunny. But if you were playing Animal Crossing on the first, and still didn’t spot the furball, it’s possible that you missed the software update that brought Bunny Day to your island. So make sure your version of Animal Crossing is the most recent before starting up the game.

How To Find Zipper And The Eggs

The first thing you’ll have to do is find Zipper, the yellow rabbit, on your island. He can be anywhere on the island, but we found him not too far from Resident Services.

Once you speak to Zipper, he’ll explain Bunny Day and how it worksfrom the six types of eggs to the recipes that can be found. The point of Bunny Day, if you haven’t done it yet, is to collect eggs to use to craft special items.

Here are the six types of eggs in New Horizons and how to obtain them. You can obtain these eggs on Nook Miles Ticket deserted islands as well:

  • Earth Egg – Found by digging up holes using the shovel
  • Leaf Egg – Found on trees
  • Sky Egg – Found by shooting down presents with your Slingshot
  • Water Egg – Found by fishing
  • Wood Egg – Found by hitting any tree with an Axe
  • Stone Egg – Found by hitting rocks with the Axe or Shovel

Bunny Day Event And Rewards

Once the actual Bunny Day finally arrives, you will find Zipper T. Bunny back in town, residing at the Plaza, while all of your villagers will be wearing festive egg clothing for the entire day.

Zipper will have several new tasks and rewards for you that only occur on this day – and has a few new features to help you collect even more eggs.

You’ll get one more recipe for speaking with him – the Bunny Day Arch – which is part of the requirement for crafting all Bunny Day DIY Recipes in order to get a special reward. Note that Zipper will mention that if you found out how to make clothing from Bunny Day eggs, he won’t need you to craft them in order to get his reward.

You also do not have to place the crafted Bunny Day Items on the ground or in your home to qualify – just crafting the item and getting the check mark in your DIY app is enough.

To help you out with the last bit of crafting, he’ll also give you 1 type of any egg in exchange for 3 of another egg type. You can do this as much as you want, which can be helpful if you’ve been stockpiling certain types.

After crafting all applicable Bunny Day DIY projects , Zipper T. Bunny will have one final challenge, crafting yet another recipe for the Wobbling Zipper Toy, which requires 4 of each egg.

Craft this recipe by trading for eggs or gathering more on your island, and then return for your real reward – a Bunny Day Wand Recipe.

Nature Day Introduced Leif To Everyone

Nature Day takes place from April 23rd to May 4th. During the event, players earn extra Nook Miles for participating in nature-related activities. This includes planting new trees, watering flowers, or weeding the area around them. After completing a Nature Day-related activity for the first time, the gets a Hedge DIY recipe.

When Nature Day first occurred in the game, it also introduced Leif, who eventually became an occasional island visitor like Celeste, Redd, and other characters. During the event, Leif would show up more often with his plants and shrubs, encouraging players to buy some and spruce up their island. Players who experienced Nature Day for the first time enjoyed Leifs presence as well as the extra Nook Miles.

Bunny Day Egg Types And Locations

BUNNY DAY IN ANIMAL CROSSING: NEW HORIZONS

If youre going to craft the entire Bunny Day set by April 4, youre going to need a bunch of different eggs.

Zipper has hidden six different types of eggs around the island: Sky, Earth, Wood, Water, Leaf, and Stone. You can probably guess where each of these comes from. You wont need too many of each to craft single Bunny Day DIY recipe projects, but with a Redditors handy spreadsheet revealing it takes a total of 202 eggs to make the lot, expect to put some time and effort into this event. For clarification, heres where youll find each type of egg:

  • Sky: Rainbow Balloons
  • Wood: Trees
  • Water: Fishing

Except for Sky and Water Eggs specifically, the number of these chocolatey treats scattered across your island is finite and at the mercy of the daily reset, so youll have to pick and choose which items to craft on any given day. Once youve dug your holes and whacked your rocks, thats about it for your Earth and Stone eggs for the day. The same goes for Wood and Leaf. Shake them down like fruit, chop them out like wood, and youre done.

Unless you use those Nook Miles Tickets, that is. If youre eager to finish off the set as quickly as possible, hop on your trusty seaplane and jet off to another deserted island. Youll have plenty more rocks, trees, and holes to burn your tools out on here.

That’s all for now, but let us know if you have any questions and tell us what youre doing with your Bunny Day eggs!

What Happens On Bunny Day

The big mystery of all these festivities remains: What will happen on April 12? If you don’t mind spoilers, keep reading.

Zipper T. Bunny will return on Bunny Day, asking you to craft three more recipes for him: a Bunny Day Arch, which takes two of each egg type a Wobbling Zipper Toy, which takes four of each egg type and as your final reward for crafting every Bunny Day recipe, a Bunny Day Wand, which takes the Zipper Toy and three star fragments.

So what does the Bunny Day Wand do? Like other wands, this one allows you to change into preselected outfits on the fly, without lugging around all the clothes for each one.

Turkey Day Was Fun But Finding Ingredients Required Luck

Turkey Day was created to commemorate Thanksgiving. Franklin, a turkey who also happens to be a chef, came to the island to prepare a delicious meal for everyone, with many dishes that rivaled real-life chefs. However, the player would be responsible for sourcing the ingredients on their own island in exchange for Turkey Day-themed DIY recipes.

Players were scrambling to find all of the necessary ingredients before the clock struck midnight. However, they had more time to do so than on Halloween, when the event took place entirely in the evening hours.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Bunny Day Is Here Here’s Everything You Need To Know

Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Bunny Day event is here! It runs from April 1 to April 12, with the rabbit Zipper T. Bunny setting you various tasks to achieve over the 12 day period. To participate all you need to do is make sure you’ve downloaded the day one update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons – which you should have automatically – and start playing.

What you’ll need to do first is look out for Zipper T. Bunny, who you can see above. He’s the cute, yet rather unnerving, fellow who’s in charge of the Bunny Day event. He’ll be loitering somewhere on your island, and has hidden eggs literally everywhere for you to find. There are special Animal Crossing: New Horizons Bunny Day recipes to unlock too. If you find all the Bunny Day-themed recipes before April 12, you’ll receive a special present from Zipper T. Bunny.

All of these recipes are crafted using the Animal Crossing: New Horizons eggs that you can find hidden around the island. There are six types in total:

  • Earth Eggs
  • Water Eggs
  • Wood Eggs

You find these by hitting rocks or trees, fishing up medium-sized shadows from any water source, find them growing on trees, floating by balloons and dug up from the ground.

If you’d like to make them all before Bunny Day’s over and your supply of eggs dries up, you should get hunting ASAP.

Types Of Eggs And Where To Find Them

There are six different egg types total, and they’re each found in different locations. Here are all six along with where to find them:

Egg Where to find
Sky Egg These will float over your island by a multicolored-striped balloon. If you suddenly hear wind, look around. A blue egg is probably flying by overhead. You should note that non-Bunny Day balloons will also be flying over your island during this time.
Leaf Egg These appear on trees just like regular fruit. Run around your island and shake any trees that have green eggs in them.
Wood Egg You’ll harvest these the same way you’d harvest wood. Take an ax to a tree and see if any orange eggs pop out.
Stone Egg Run up to a rock and use a shovel or a hammer to pound away at it. If you’re lucky, some yellow eggs will pop out.
Water Egg When you see fish shadows in rivers, ponds, and the ocean go ahead and cast your line. You might just catch a purple egg.
Earth Egg If you come across cracks on the ground in your island, go ahead and dig them up with a shovel. Instead of finding fossils, you might just dig up a pink egg.

Fish Up Eggs From 9am ~ 4pm

If you are looking for an efficient way to fish up Water eggs, our recommendation is to go fishing between 9am to 4pm. In the Northern Hemisphere, there are no fish with a medium-sized shadow in the river during this time, so you can be sure that all such shadows are Water Eggs!

Bunny Day Arrives In Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Animal Crossing – Bunny Day

The event will last for eight days till April 4. During the event, players have to collect Easter eggs in order to get all DIY recipes. There will be six eggs: leaf egg, wood egg, sky egg, water egg, earth egg and stone egg.

Users need to collect these items in order to trade them for amazing DIY recipes. In ACNH, players can trade items for DIY recipes and can then craft them. After that, players can place these items all over their village to increase the islands beauty. Most probably, all DIY recipes will be same from last year, but Nintendo might come up with a surprise for all its users.

After collecting all the Easter eggs, wait for April 4 to trade it with Zipper for recipes. Moreover, changing the date in your Nintendo Switch to directly jump into April 4 to get all items wont be possible. Nintendo has been hard-locking all the events recently, so that all the players can enjoy the holiday festival spirit together.

No one could access Bunny Day before it actually arrived in the game last year, and the same rule will be applied in 2021. Therefore, players will have to wait till April 4 to get all the DIY items from Zipper. A lot of players may argue and question Nintendos approach, but celebrating the festival together will certainly make it more exciting.

What’s New With Bunny Day 2021 In Animal Crossing: New Horizons

There are three main difference between Bunny Day in 2021 and the first time the event ran last year in New Horizons.

The first is the event related dates – in 2021 the egg hunt began on Sunday, 28th March, while Bunny Day itself will be on Sunday, 4th April.

As you can see, the Bunny Day event is shorter than last years. This is great for players who’ve had the game since launch, since it means the egg invasion won’t last as long, but does give new players a shorter amount of time to find all of the Bunny Day DIY recipes.

The second is that you can buy a new selection of Bunny Day themed items for sale in Nook’s Cranny. These items will be located in the seasonal items section of the shop and you’ll be able to buy a different one every day.

Here are the new Bunny Day items, along with how much each one costs:

  • Bunny Day Candy – 1300 Bells
  • Bunny Day Garden Flag – 1500 Bells
  • Bunny Day Planter Box – 2300 Bells
  • Bunny Day Topiary – 2000 Bells
  • Bunny Day Tree – 3800 Bells

Finally, if you collected every single Bunny Day DIY recipe last year, then Zipper will give you a number of eggs, rather than a Bunny Day DIY recipe when you first talk to him.

How To Find Sky Eggs In Animal Crossing

Look up! Youll spot gifts floating around in the sky that you will be able to shoot down with your slingshot. Youll know if you are looking at one you want as the design of the balloon is egg-themed.

You wont always get an egg though as sometimes you will get a recipe so take one down whenever you get the chance just make sure you are playing solo as they will not appear if you are playing the game with others.
