How To Unlock The New Sanrio Animal Crossing Amiibo Furniture Clothes And Items

Series 2 Amiibo Cards – Animal Crossing Opening

While it was technically possible to acquire Sanrio posters in Animal Crossing: New Horizons by uploading existing Amiibo cards, these new cards will also unlock the ability to purchase a variety of new items modeled after each new villager and the franchise they represent.

After youve scanned the new Amiibo cards, youll just need to purchase the corresponding character items from your villages Nook shopping service. The screenshots below showcase most of the items that youll be able to purchase, including the clothes you see the player character wearing, after youve scanned the new Amiibo cards:

A Concise Guide To The Different Amiibo Functions In Animal Crossing: New Leaf

Animal Crossing: New Leaf received a big update that added amiibo support and overhauled a few of the games systems. Theres a bunch of different compatible amiibo that all do different things so it can all be a bit confusing, so the aim of this guide is to serve as a sort of primer to this new feature. Well hopefully have some more detailed videos on the way, but with new amiibo releasing this week I thought itd be best to get something out ASAP to clear up a lot of confusion Ive been seeing.

Where To Get Sanrio Amiibo Cards

The Sanrio amiibo cards for Animal Crossing: New Horizons launch this Friday, March 21. Rather than a set of cards that are randomized and will require you to buy multiple packs to collect them all, this is simply a set of six cards that will be the same six in every pack. This is good for limited the number people buy, though that certainly wont stop scalpers.

Unlike with the previous Animal Crossing amiibo cards that you could find at multiple retailers, the Sanrio amiibo cards instead are exclusive to Target. You might think that shouldnt be too bad and youll just grab a pack online to get shipped to you or go to the store and find them on the shelf on Friday, but that is not the case.

Target has revealed via their weekly ad that the Sanrio amiibo cards will be available exclusively with Online Pickup or Drive Up. Specifically, they stated they will go up for Online Pickup or Drive Up at 8 am CT, which will be 9 am ET or 6 am PT. This means you will have to go on the website when they go up and place and order for store pickup and then can either go inside to the pickup area and get it or do pickup in your car outside of the store as well. While you can order it online for store pickup, you will not be able to order it online to be shipped to your house for some reason. They are also not supposed to have any stock on the shelves either, though I guess well see if that truly happens depending on stock numbers.

What Can You Do At Harvey’s Island Villager Photopia

Authentic Animal Crossing #380 Amiibo: Kevin

If you’ve played Animal Crossing: New Leaf, you might recall a hippy dog named Harvey as one of the particular villagers. After a few days of playing in New Horizons, this dog will randomly appear on your island. Make sure you talk to him, and he’ll invite you to visit his island home. The awesome thing is that the airport allows you to fly to him for free. No Nook Miles Tickets required.

Instead of foraging for materials, bugs, and fish, Harvey’s island only lets you walk into Harvey’s house. Once inside, you’ll be able to set up a scene in one of his rooms and take pictures with your favorite villagers. That is, as long as you have that villager on your island or have a corresponding amiibo to invite them with. You can place different furniture, change the lighting in the room, and position your favorite Animal Crossing villagers in various locations before taking pictures with them. You can have up to 10 animal villagers in one room at a time.

However, it should be noted that not every amiibo works with New Horizons. So far, the game has warned me that Digby and Resetti can’t be invited to Photopia. This had also been the case for Reese, Cyrus, and Rover up until another update arrived. I’m guessing that any amiibo figures that currently don’t work with New Horizons will be usable once future updates are released.

How Amiibo Work In Animal Crossing: New Horizons

In New Horizons, tapping an amiibo figure to your controller will invite an Animal Crossing character to your island. Youll also be able to include them in photo shoots on a Photopia island.

Not every amiibo will work at launch DJ K.K. isnt available, for example but Nintendo says that support is coming for additional characters.

If youve still got your amiibo cards from Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Happy Home Designer, or amiibo Festival, theyll work in New Horizons as well. These 450 cards are spread across four series and a set of New Leaf Welcome Cards.

Animal Crossing Amiibo Cards Getting A Target Restock

Target has announced that Animal Crossing amiibo cards are being restocked this September, including Series 1 -4 and the Sanrio card packs.

Target has announced a restock of Animal Crossing amiibo cards, including different series releases and the highly sought-after Sanrio packs. Amiibo cards can be used with the Nintendo Switch’s Animal Crossing: New Horizons to welcome new villagers to players’ islands, without having to use Nook Miles Tickets to hunt for specific characters.

Animal Crossing amiibo cards are desired by fans not just due to their collectibility and cute character designs, but also thanks to their in-game functionality. Tapping an amiibo card of a specific villager to the Nintendo Switch system will invite them to the island campsite. Over the course of three days, inviting a villager and crafting their requested items will lead them to ask players to move in.;Amiibo cards make finding rare villagers fast and simple, though brand new New Horizons characters such as Raymond don’t yet have amiibo cards.;Animal Crossing cards are so desirable, they’ve become a target for scalpers.

How To Unlock And Use Amiibo In Animal Crossing New Horizons

As we described above, Amiibo in New Horizons can be used in two ways to invite characters to your island, or to use them in Photopia. Both are used in different ways, and both unlock at different times. Heres the nice, simple breakdown:

  • To use Amiibo to invite characters to your island:
  • Once unlocked, the option to use amiibo to invite characters to your island will be found within the Resident Services building on your island, the same ATM-style machine that you use to spend Nook Miles to unlock more inventory space and use the Nook mail-order delivery shopping service.
  • Once the option appears, you simply press it and tap and amiibo to the right Joy-Con as you do in other games.
  • If the option hasnt appeared to you yet, note our wording: the Resident Services building. It needs to be a building rather than just a tent, and you also need to have established the camp site. Basically, its tied to the Tom Nook basic progression through building up your island. If the amiibo option isnt yet there, you need to go to Tom Nook and ask him what you need to do next keep following his instructions and expanding the island, and this feature will eventually appear. Nook will alert you when it does.
  • Amiibo you can use here are of course limited: characters that cant become residents wont work, and characters already on the island might trigger a funny scene.

Upgrade Your Gaming Experience With Animal Crossing Amiibo Cards

All You Need to Know about Animal Crossing: New Leaf Welcome amiibo

Nintendo’s beloved Animal Crossing series has gained online capabilities in its most recent iterations. New multiplayer and interactive online functions have unlocked new options for gameplay and increased the ability to customize. The game’s open-ended, interactive play with other villagers, called dreamies, can be upgraded through the purchase of an amiibo card.

What does an amiibo card do?

In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you can customize your own island and invite a number of new villagers to live there. Gaining rare dreamies can help you upgrade your island to five stars and unlock new functionality along the way. An Animal Crossing amiibo card allows you to download the villagers that are included in pack via the internet to achieve the following main functions:

  • Conduct photo shoots on Harv’s Island with amiibo dreamies.
  • Invite amiibo characters to your island’s campsite, the first step to asking them to move to your village.

Why purchase an amiibo card?

Animal Crossing fans should consider purchasing amiibo cards for several reasons. First, amiibo cards allow you to call rare dreamies to your island at your leisure. Many rare dreamies, like Digby and Isabelle, won’t turn up at the campsite. An amiibo will allow you to call them to your island and improve the customization of your own little paradise. There are more than 400 amiibo cards that you can choose from, which will ensure that you are able to invite your favorite villager to your town.
