Which Is The Best Bird In Animal Crossing
Most of the birds as a whole are fine and good additions to your island. As a whole, the birds are largely ranked based on their appearance, though Jacques has a cool diner house while Lucha has a literal wrestling ring. Bulls can be hit or miss depending on what you like. None of them are really cute, but Stu is at least colorful.
Best Jock Villagers In Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Villagers with the jock personality type are the most common villagers found in Animal Crossing games, but some are much better than others.
While long-time fans of Animal Crossing have been introduced to as many as 400+ vastly different villagers over the years, the most frequently seen personality type belongs to the jock villagers. As of the release of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, players have been introduced to 80+ villagers with the “jock” personality type.
Of course, quantity doesnt always mean quality, and a large number of jock villagers are actively avoided by players due to their overwhelming energy. However, there are a handful of sporty characters like Kid Cat and Sprocket who are able to inspire an island with their enthusiasm rather than exhaust their fellow villagers.

Did your favorite villager make the cut?
One of the greatest things about Animal Crossing is the friendships you make with the villagers in your town. With the release of New Horizons just around the corner, theres nothing more exciting than wondering who your new neighbors could be. Will they be animals youve met from previous games or an entirely new roster? There are over 450 villagers in total, so how can we possibly decide whos best? Well always have our personal favorites, of course, but lets take a look at the following hand-picked villagers that tend to shine a little brighter than the rest.
Best Normal Villager: Caroline
Another original islander turned villager, Caroline stands out simply because of the bold color scheme. Squirrels are some of the best designed animals in the game, and the variety of colors they come in are often unique compared to the rest of the cast.
In this case, the bright yellow and orange scheme is eye-catching without being over the top. The hair on her compliments the color design instead of working against it, and the hints of green, blue and white are not over the top either. Caroline is simply a strong standout design, which is what normal villagers need since there is little to go on in terms of personality.
Fun fact, did you know Caroline was originally named Bliss in the first Animal Crossing? Why her name changed is anyone’s guess, but its just one of those weird little trivia things that helps her stand out more.
All The Villagers In Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Although Animal Crossing: New Horizons only added eight new villagers to the series , the series is now just shy of four hundred different villagers for players to befriend and attach themselves to. With so many available across all the different games, it’s only natural that some villagers stand out more than others, but we are focusing on those that received an English release.
When it comes to Animal Crossing, it’s important to remember that there are no “bad” villagers. A villager that one person doesn’t connect with in any way could be another player’s best friend in their town. Having said that, there are definitely some villagers who taking a little more time to warm up to than others.

If cuteness were the only deciding factor for what made an Animal Crossing villager top tier, nearly all of them would be in the S Tier category. It unfortunately takes a bit more than that though, and that’s about all these villagers bring to the table. Characters like Daisy and Lolly are cute villagers for sure, but there isn’t anything pushing them far above villagers of the same species like Goldie or Kiki.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Tier A Villagers
Villagers: Apollo, Audie, Benjamin, Blanche, Boone, Camofrog, Cherry, Coco, Chrissy, Diana, Dobie, Dom, Drago, Erik, Epona, Fauna, Felyne, Francine, Frita, Ganon, Gaston, Genji, Hopper, Judy, Julia, Julian, Ketchup, Lily, Lobo, Margie, Marina, Marty, Mira, Molly, Pekoe, Phoebe, Poppy, Raddle, Ribbot, Roald, Rosie, Shep, Sly, Snake, Sprinkle, Sprocket, Tucker, Walt, Whitney, Wolf Link, Wolfgang, Woolio, Etoile
These villagers may not be as hard to find as the ones in the S Tier, but that doesn’t mean players aren’t willing to spend tens of nook mile tickets in order to have them as neighbors. Many of these villagers push the threshold of being in the S Tier category, but for whatever reason, they’re missing that unidentifiable “it” factor.
What a lot of these characters do have is a story. Audie, Animal Crossing: New Horizons‘ newest wolf villager, was supposedly made in reference to Audrey Buchanan, an 88 year old woman who put over three thousand hours into Animal Crossing: New Leaf. Benjamin, a dog villager, goes by the name Hachi in the Japanese version of Animal Crossing. It’s believed that this villager was made in reference to the story of Hachiko, a famous true story in Japan about a dog that loyally waited for its owner at Shibuya Station for several years after he had passed away.

Best Normal Villager: Goldie
This is a personal pick and I’m super biased, but Goldie to me is the best dog villager in the game. Yes, it is due to her being a golden retriever, mostly because growing up, I had a pet golden retriever whom I loved and adored until the day he died.
So right there is a nostalgic familial connection. How is this for more nostalgia Goldie was one of my first villagers in the original Animal Crossing as well. She was the kindest of the three female villagers to me, and is as much of an icon you get for Animal Crossing.
Hell, fans consider her, along with the likes of Rosie, Tom, and other key villagers to be the mascots of the whole franchise beyond the unique villagers. I fully agree with this in regards to Goldie. Her golden-colored hair and kindly personality are a happy memory to me personally, and clearly make her one of the major standout villagers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
Normal villagers may not be the flashiest of personality types, but they certainly have a lot of strong and not so strong designs amongst them. After you lynch me for not liking Coco, why not tell us who your favorite and least favorite normal villagers are in the comments below. Until then, see you next time!
Animal Crossing Most Popular Villager: Dom
LaeuPlays May 26, 2020
According to a poll made by Famitsu Magazine and as reported by Nintendo Everything, the ram Dom is Japans favorite. He garnered a whopping 652 votes overall, which counts far away from the second placer Marshals 480 votes. Of course, North American fans might beg to differ. Their favorite Raymond should be up there, not Dom. However, North American fans shouldnt feel too bad for their favorite business cat. Raymond follows Marshal closely with his 440 votes. Had the poll been done in the US, were sure that hell come out on top.
The same poll asked players their favorite furniture type and their favorite season . With such a massive list of different furniture types and seasonal events, fans mostly chose the same answers for these two questions. Halloween, we get. But whats so special with Ironwood?

Animal Crossing New Horizons: 15 Best Cat Villagers Ranked
Animal Crossing: New Horizons has an abundance of visitors from various animal species. These are the best cat villagers in the game!
With every new Animal Crossing game comes the utter anticipation of just who is going to make the roster, and who’s going to be added that we never could have dreamed of to fawn over. Though it’s true for almost every villager type with the release of New Horizons, it’s especially true for the cat villagers who have a whopping 23different villagers in its category.
If one of your favorites happens to be relatively low on the list, do bear in mind that this is only less than half of the full cat roster, so it doesn’t mean they’re bad at all! With that being said, today let’s go over the top ten cat villagers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons continues to be one of the most popular games to release this year, not just as far as Nintendo Switch titles go, but across the whole gaming board. Nintendo is keeping its island residents happy with regular updates and events, with the most recent update adding the sorely missed sea diving and sea creatures.
Players are still busy perfecting their island paradises with their favorite furnishings, custom designs, terraforming creations, and of course, their favorite villagers. One of the more popular villager choices are the cats, so check out these top picks for when it comes to feline neighbors.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons Villagers Work Best As Trios
For players who like to have as many different villager personalities as possible, the easiest solution is to have three different personalities that all get along. Because each personality has at least two others that it doesn’t get along with, the simplest combination is to have a mix of up to three different personalities that all like each other. Of course, other types can be added at the player’s discretion, but that may result in one character being unhappy. Combinations that work best are Normal, Lazy, Peppy, or Cranky, Snooty, Smug. Two of the most popular Animal Crossing: New Horizons characters, Raymond and Marshal, are the Smug type and therefore get along with each other, as well as the Peppy, Snooty, Normal, and Lazy personalities.
Even if some villager types don’t get along, it isn’t the end of the world. If the player is willing to console their island residents after a fight amongst each other, then it doesn’t much matter which personalities live together. But if the desired outcome is more harmony and less stress, then sticking to archetypes that will get along and become happy neighbors is the best bet. Another thing for players to consider is which Animal Crossing: New Horizons character they like most, as some of them can be quite rude, but most will warm up to the player after some time.

No Such Thing As Rare Villagers
There is no such thing as a “rare” villagers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. However, the probability of encountering them in the mystery island tour and/or them visiting your campsite differs.
Even though there is no such thing as a truly “rare” villager, the probability of encountering each villager on a mystery island is different.
We’ve run a test to figure out the pattern of how new villagers on mystery islands are determined by using 162 Nook Miles Tickets.
What we found out is that all species groups, disregarding the difference in number of villagers belonging to each species, appear at around the same probability.
Best Normal Villager: Midge
Midge is another pink-colored villager, this time though it’s much more eye-catching because she is a bird. Bird villagers are often OK but nothing special in Animal Crossing, but Midge is one of the better designs we get.
What sells it is the spiral pattern on her cheeks, which compliment the white and dark pink color tones of her body. It is simple, helps her stand out, and not over the top. Midge is good and represents the normal in a normal villager.
Personality wise… Midge has little going for her. Honestly, all of the normal villagers have trouble standing out compared to other personalities. In fact, this whole list is filled with milquetoast characters in the personality department. One thing I notice is she is quick to get upset at times, but outside of that, Midge is as chipper as they come and would make a fine addition to anyones village.
